Abstract
【解決手段】制御器(PCM10)は、点火プラグ25の駆動により混合気に点火をして燃焼させる火花点火燃焼を行う火花点火モードから、混合気を自着火により燃焼させる圧縮着火燃焼を行う圧縮着火モードへ切り替える際に、筒内温度を強制的に低下させて燃焼を行う過渡モードを実行する。

Description
火花点火燃焼は、圧縮着火燃焼と比較して熱効率が低いため、燃焼ガス温が相対的に高くなる。一方で、圧縮着火燃焼を行うCIモードでは、前述したように、圧縮着火の着火性を確保するために、少なくとも内部EGRガスを気筒18内に導入することで、気筒18内の温度状態を高くしている。

Claims (5)
- 気筒を有するエンジン本体と、
前記気筒内に供給する燃料を噴射するように構成された燃料噴射弁と、
前記気筒内の混合気に点火をするように構成された点火プラグと、
少なくとも前記燃料噴射弁及び前記点火プラグを制御することによって、前記エンジン本体を運転するように構成された制御器と、を備え、
前記制御器は、前記混合気を自着火により燃焼させる圧縮着火燃焼を行う圧縮着火モードと、前記点火プラグの駆動により前記混合気に点火をして燃焼させる火花点火燃焼を行う火花点火モードとを、前記エンジン本体の運転状態に応じて切り替えるよう構成され、
前記制御器はまた、前記火花点火モードから前記圧縮着火モードへ切り替える際に、筒内温度を強制的に低下させて燃焼を行う過渡モードを実行する火花点火式エンジンの制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の火花点火式エンジンの制御装置において、
前記制御器は、前記圧縮着火モードにおいては、前記燃料噴射弁によって、吸気行程から圧縮行程初期に燃料を噴射する一方、前記過渡モードにおいては、少なくとも圧縮行程中期以降に前記気筒内に燃料を噴射することによって筒内温度を低下させて、圧縮着火燃焼を行う火花点火式エンジンの制御装置。 - 請求項2に記載の火花点火式エンジンの制御装置において、
前記制御器は、前記過渡モードにおいては、前記気筒内に導入する新気量を増大させる火花点火式エンジンの制御装置。 - 請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の火花点火式エンジンの制御装置において、
前記制御器は、前記過渡モードにおいては、前記新気量の増大に対応して前記気筒内に噴射する燃料量を増量する火花点火式エンジンの制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の火花点火式エンジンの制御装置において、
前記制御器は、前記過渡モードにおいて火花点火燃焼を行うと共に、前記点火プラグによる点火時期を、MBTよりも進角させることで燃焼ガス温度を低下させる火花点火式エンジンの制御装置。
