Abstract
【解決手段】リング状凸部101を備えたハニカム構造体100を回転させ、特定の切り込み部が一の側縁部に形成されるとともに切り込み部が形成された側縁部が塗工面側に傾く傾斜面である板状のヘラ2と、ヘラ2の側縁部に沿わせるように端部を曲げたときに端部の端面がヘラ2の裏面に平行な状態になるように端部に切り込みが形成されたゴムシート3とを備えた塗工部材1を、「ヘラ2の側縁部を、ゴムシート3を介して、ハニカム構造体100に押し付ける」ようにして、ハニカム構造体100の側面に接触させ、該側面に、スラリー状のコート材を供給して、塗工部材1のゴムシート3によってコート材を塗工する工程である塗工工程を有する、ハニカム構造体100の外周塗工方法。

Description
外周方向に沿ってリング状に形成されたリング状凸部を外周に備えた、被塗工体である円筒状のハニカム構造体に、板状のヘラとゴムシートとを供えた塗工部材を用いて、コート材を塗工した。コート材は、コート材供給部を用いて、ハニカム構造体の外周に供給した。
ISO7619にて規定された方法に従い、「デュロメータ タイプA」を用いて測定する。
各条件を表1に示すように変更した以外は、実施例1と同様にして、円筒状のハニカム構造体にコート材を塗工した。実施例1の場合と同様にして、塗工後のハニカム構造体について、コート材の塗工状態を目視で確認した。結果を表1に示す。
ゴムシートに「切り込み」を形成しなかったこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして円筒状のハニカム構造体にコート材を塗工した。
ゴムシートに「切り込み」を形成せず、更に、ヘラに「切り込み部」を形成しなかったこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして円筒状のハニカム構造体にコート材を塗工した。
Claims (4)
- 被塗工体である円筒状のハニカム構造体を、中心軸を中心に回転させ、板状のヘラとゴムシートとを備えた塗工部材を前記ハニカム構造体の側面に接触させ、回転する前記ハニカム構造体の前記側面にスラリー状のコート材を供給して、前記ハニカム構造体の前記側面に供給された前記コート材を、前記塗工部材の前記ゴムシートによって前記ハニカム構造体の前記側面に塗工する工程である塗工工程を有し、
前記ハニカム構造体は、外周方向に沿ってリング状に形成されたリング状凸部を外周に備えたものであり、
前記板状のヘラは、一方の面である塗工面と他方の面である裏面とを有し前記ハニカム構造体の前記リング状凸部の形状に沿った形状の切り込み部が一の側縁部に形成されるとともに前記切り込み部が形成された前記側縁部が前記塗工面側に傾く傾斜面になっているものであり、
前記ゴムシートは、前記ヘラの前記塗工面側に取り付けられ前記ヘラの前記側縁部に沿わせるように端部を曲げたときに前記端部の端面が前記ヘラの前記裏面に平行な状態になるように前記端部に切り込みが形成されたものであり、
前記塗工部材を前記ハニカム構造体の側面に接触させるときに、前記ヘラの前記側縁部が前記ハニカム構造体の中心軸に平行になるようにするとともに前記ヘラの前記側縁部に沿わせるように前記ゴムシートの端部を曲げた状態で、前記ヘラの前記側縁部を前記ゴムシートを介してハニカム構造体に押し付けるようにして前記塗工部材を前記ハニカム構造体の側面に接触させ、
回転する前記ハニカム構造体の前記側面にスラリー状のコート材を供給するときに、前記塗工部材の前記ゴムシートに隣接するように配置されたコート材供給部の供給孔から、スラリー状のコート材を供給するハニカム構造体の外周塗工方法。 - 前記ゴムシートの硬度を30〜90とする請求項1に記載のハニカム構造体の外周塗工方法。
- 前記ハニカム構造体の前記リング状凸部に供給されるコート材の量が、前記ハニカム構造体の、前記リング状凸部を除く前記側面に供給されるコート材の量より、多い請求項1又は2に記載のハニカム構造体の外周塗工方法。
- 前記ハニカム構造体の前記リング状凸部が、他の部分よりも厚さの薄い平面状の平面部を有し、
前記コート材が前記平面部に供給されるときの前記ハニカム構造体の回転速度を、前記コート材が前記平面部に供給されないときの前記ハニカム構造体の回転速度より遅くする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のハニカム構造体の外周塗工方法。
