Abstract
【解決手段】この方法は、炭素質材料を熱分解し部分的にガス化して揮発性物質と炭化物を生成する第1の工程を含む。揮発性物質と炭化物は分離され、その後、炭化物はガス化され、揮発性物質は改質される。そして、粗生成ガスは最終的に炭化物または炭化物担持触媒またはその他の触媒で洗浄される。

Description
当該方法は炭素質材料を熱分解して揮発性物質と炭化物とを生成する工程と、
当該炭化物と当該揮発性物質とを分離する工程と、
当該炭化物をガス化する工程と、
当該揮発性物質を改質して生成ガスを生成する工程と、
部分的に改質された揮発性物質および/または生成ガスを、触媒床等の生成ガス洗浄領域の中を通過させる工程を含む。
前記炭化物のガス化工程は、炭化物を制御された量の酸素含有ガスと反応させることを含んでよい。このガス化工程は、揮発性物質−炭化物相互作用を最小限にするために揮発性物質の改質工程とは隔離して行われてもよい。
揮発性物質を改質して生成ガスを生成するための改質領域と、
炭化物をガス化するための炭化物ガス化領域と、
炭素質材料を熱分解するための熱分解領域であって、前記改質領域および前記炭化物ガス化領域と液体連結するように配置され、そのことにより、該領域で形成される揮発性物質および炭化物が分離されそれぞれ前記改質領域と前記炭化物ガス化領域とに向けられる熱分解領域と、
前記改質領域と液体連結する配置であって、そのことにより、部分的に改質された揮発性物質および/または生成ガスがその中を通過させられる生成ガス洗浄領域を含む。
炭素質材料を受けとる時に受けとった炭素質材料が炭素質材料を熱分解するのに十分な長さの期間の間接触するよう構成された表面を有する少なくとも1つの要素を含み、
該表面が炭素質材料を熱分解および部分的にガス化するために熱を受けるように構成される。

−ガス化と熱ガス洗浄を一体化し単一ガス化容器で実行可能な、特に低品位炭素質材料ガス化のためのガス化処理過程を提供する
−炭化物ガス化中の揮発性物質と炭化物との間の相互作用を最小化し炭化物ガス化の高速化につなげる
−揮発性物質とその改質生成物による直接酸素消費を最小化する
−炭化物ガス化領域中の炭化物と酸素との直接反応を促進しガス化容器内の各種反応に必要な熱を生成し、これにより炭化物ガス化生成物の熱エネルギーを生成ガスとして化学エネルギーの形態で回復する
−ガス化効率を最大限にするために酸素の全体消費量を最小限にする
−タール残留物を触媒で改質することにより、低品位炭素質材料のガス化で一般的に生じる問題である生成ガス中のタール残留物量を最小限にする
−低品位炭素質材料において一般的な無機種、特にAAEMの揮発を最小化する
−揮発したAAEMおよびNH3、HCNおよびH2S等の汚染物質形成不純物を触媒で除去する
−使用済み触媒を、処分方法として炭化物ガス化領域に排出し酸化的にガス化することにより、さらなる液体または固体廃流を生成することなく容器中での熱エネルギー生成に貢献する
−触媒を用いて水性ガスシフト反応を促進することにより、触媒非活性化、再生および処分に関連する従来の問題なしに最終生成ガスの水素含有量を増加させる
Claims (31)
- 炭素質材料をガス化する方法であって、
炭素質材料を熱分解して揮発性物質と炭化物とを生成する工程と、
該炭化物と該揮発性物質とを分離する工程と、
該炭化物をガス化する工程と、
該揮発性物質を改質して生成ガスを生成する工程と、
部分的に改質された揮発性物質および/または生成ガスを生成ガス洗浄領域の中を通過させる工程を含む方法。 - 前記生成ガス洗浄領域は触媒床を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒床は固体触媒の移動床を含む請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記生成ガス洗浄領域は直列に配置された複数の触媒床を含む請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒床は炭化物、炭化物担持触媒またはイルメナイトを含む請求項2〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒床が炭化物または炭化物担持触媒を含む場合、当該炭化物または炭化物担持触媒は前記炭素質材料の熱分解および/または部分的ガス化から調製される請求項5に記載の方法。
- 使用済み炭化物または炭化物担持触媒を前記触媒床から排出し当該使用済み炭化物または炭化物担持触媒をガス化することをさらに含む請求項5または6に記載の方法。
- 前記炭素質材料の熱分解工程は、実質的に全ての炭素質材料を揮発性物質および炭化物に変換するのに十分な長さの期間炭素質材料を熱分解することを含む請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記炭素質材料の熱分解工程は、熱ガスの向流蒸気で炭素質材料を加熱し、当該加熱により原料の部分的ガス化も達成することを含む請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記熱ガスは前記炭化物ガス化領域において生成される請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記熱ガスは、前記炭化物ガス化領域または前記改質領域において生成ガスを燃焼させて生成される請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記炭化物のガス化工程は、炭化物と制御された量の酸素含有ガスとを反応させることを含む請求項1〜11のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 低品位炭素質材料のガス化から生成された粗生成ガスの処理方法であって、該粗生成ガスは部分的に改質された揮発性物質、タール残留物および汚染物質を含み、該粗生成ガスを触媒床の中を通過させることを含む方法。
- 前記粗生成ガスを、炭化物または炭化物担持触媒の移動床を含む触媒床の中を通過させることを含む請求項13に記載の方法。
- 炭素質材料をガス化するガス化システムであって、
揮発性物質を改質して生成ガスを生成するための改質領域と、
炭化物をガス化するための炭化物ガス化領域と、
炭素質材料を熱分解するための熱分解領域であって、前記改質領域および前記炭化物ガス化領域と液体連結するように配置され、そのことにより、該領域で形成される揮発性物質および炭化物が分離されそれぞれ前記改質領域および前記炭化物ガス化領域とに向けられる熱分解領域と、
前記改質領域と液体連結する配置であって、そのことにより、部分的に改質された揮発性物質および/または生成ガスがその中を通過させられる生成ガス洗浄領域とを含むガス化システム。 - 前記熱分解領域は前記改質領域と前記炭化物ガス化領域との中間に配設される請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記生成ガス洗浄領域は触媒床を含む請求項15または16に記載のシステム。
- 前記ガス化システムは、中に前記改質領域と炭化物ガス化領域と熱分解領域とを画定するガス化容器を含む請求項15〜17のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記炭化物ガス化領域は前記ガス化容器の下部に配設される請求項18に記載のシステム。
- 前記改質領域は前記ガス化容器の上部に配設される請求項18または19に記載のシステム。
- 前記熱分解領域は、実質的に全ての炭素質材料を揮発性物質と炭化物に変換するのに十分な長さの滞留時間の間炭素質材料を保持するように構成される請求項15〜20のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記熱分解領域で形成された炭化物の一部をガス洗浄触媒として残りの炭素質材料から分離して前記生成ガス洗浄領域へ向かわせる請求項15〜21のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 炭素質材料を熱分解および/または部分的にガス化して炭化物または炭化物担持触媒を調製するための別個の容器を含み、熱分解および/または部分的にガス化された炭素質材料を前記生成ガス洗浄領域内に排出して生成ガス洗浄のための触媒として機能させるように構成される請求項15〜22のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記生成ガス洗浄領域は前記炭化物ガス化領域と一致する請求項23に記載のシステム。
- 前記炭化物ガス化領域は、炭化物が部分的または完全にガス化されるような条件下で構成および運用される請求項24に記載のシステム。
- 前記熱分解領域と前記生成ガス洗浄領域との中間に配設された炭化物貯蔵領域と、これと関連づけられて使用時に該生成ガス洗浄領域への炭化物流量を制御するように構成された制御システムとを備える請求項15〜25のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 炭素質材料を熱分解および部分的にガス化するための装置であって、
炭素質材料を受けとる時に受けとった炭素質材料が炭素質材料を熱分解するのに十分な長さの期間の間接触するよう構成された表面を有する少なくとも1つの要素を含み、
当該表面は炭素質材料を熱分解および部分的にガス化するために熱を受けるように構成される装置。 - 前記表面は、前記期間中炭素質材料が該表面と接触するのを補助するように構成された下向きの斜面部分を有する請求項27に記載の装置。
- カスケード配置された複数の表面を含み、炭素質材料を熱分解および部分的にガス化するよう十分な長さの期間後に炭素質材料がカスケード配置の連続する表面に移送されるように構成される請求項27または28に記載の装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの要素と関連づけられた攪拌機を含み、該攪拌機は、前記表面と接触する炭素質材料を撹拌して該炭素質材料を表面下の領域へ移送するように構成される請求項27〜29のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記複数の表面は縦カスケード配置に構成され、該複数の表面の中を通って延びる回転可能な軸を含み、それぞれの表面と関連づけられた攪拌機は該回転可能軸の回転によって動作可能である請求項30に記載の装置。
