Abstract
【解決手段】
翼の外側端部に取付ける翼端装置であって、翼は翼面を規定し、翼端装置は、翼面に対して上方に突出し後縁を有する上側翼状要素と、上側翼状要素に対して取り付けられて後縁と根部翼弦とを有する下側翼状要素と、を備え、下側翼状要素の根部翼弦は上側翼状要素と重なり、下側翼状要素は重複部から下方に突出し、上側翼状要素は下側翼状要素より大きく、下側翼状要素の後縁は重複部において上側翼状要素の後縁と近接しており、上側翼状要素と下側翼状要素とが重複部においてなす角度は160°以下である。また、翼端装置を有する翼、翼端装置を有する翼を有する航空機、翼に翼端装置を取付ける方法又は交換して取付ける方法、現有の翼端装置を改修する方法、翼端装置を備える翼を操作する方法である。

Claims (25)
- 翼面を規定する翼の外側端部に取付けられる翼端装置であって、
前記翼面に対して上方に突出し且つ後縁を有する上側翼状要素と、
前記上側翼状要素に対して取り付けられ且つ根部翼弦と後縁とを有する下側翼状要素と、
を備え、
前記下側翼状要素の根部翼弦は、上側翼状要素と重なり、
前記下側翼状要素は重複部から下方に突出し、
前記上側翼状要素は前記下側翼状要素より大きく、前記下側翼状要素の後縁は重複部において前記上側翼状要素の後縁に近接しており、
前記上側翼状要素と前記下側翼要素とが重複部においてなす角度は160°以下である、
ことを特徴とする翼端装置。 - 前記下側翼状要素が前記上側翼状要素の平面領域の約25%より小さい要素平面領域を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の翼端装置。
- 前記翼面と前記下側翼状要素とがなす角度が少なくとも110°であることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の翼端装置。
- 前記上側翼状要素と前記下側翼状要素とが重複部においてなす角度が少なくとも80°であることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の翼端装置。
- 前記下側翼状要素が実質的に平面形状であることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の翼端装置。
- 前記下側翼状要素が実質的に非平面形状であることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の翼端装置。
- 前記下側翼状要素が翼のねじれを有することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の翼端装置。
- 前記下側翼状要素が後退角を有することを特徴とする請求項1から請求項7のいずれか1項に記載の翼端装置。
- 前記上側翼状要素が実質的な平面的部位を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の翼端装置。
- 前記上側翼状要素が実質的に平面的形状であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の翼端装置。
- 前記上側翼状要素が更に、前記翼の外側端部を前記上側翼状要素の実質的な平面的部位に滑らかに融合するように適合された弧状の遷移部を含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の翼端装置。
- 前記上側翼状要素が更に、前記翼の外側端部を前記上側翼状要素の実質的な平面部位に滑らかに融合するように適合された非平面形状の湾曲した翼端伸張部を含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の翼端装置。
- 前記上側翼状要素が実質的に非平面形状の湾曲した翼端伸張部であることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の翼端装置。
- 前記上側翼状要素が後退角を有することを特徴とする請求項1から請求項13のいずれか1項に記載の翼端装置。
- 前記下側翼状要素と前記上側翼状要素との重複部が前記翼の外側端部にあることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項14のいずれか1項に記載の翼端装置。
- 前記下側翼状要素と前記上側翼状要素との重複部が翼の外側端部の外側にあることを特徴とする、請求項1から請求項15のいずれか1項に記載の翼端装置。
- 外側端部と、当該外側端部に取付けられた請求項1から請求項16のいずれか1項に記載の翼端装置と、を有する翼。
- 請求項17に記載の翼を有する航空機。
- 前記航空機が地上にあって、前記翼が燃料を一杯に積載することによって下方に撓んでいる場合に、前記下側翼状要素の先端部は前記上側翼状要素の先端部よりさらに翼幅方向の外側には伸張しないことを特徴とする請求項18に記載の航空機。
- 前記航空機が地上にあって、前記翼が燃料を一杯に積載することによって下方に撓んでいる場合に、前記下側翼状要素の先端部の翼幅方向の位置は、前記上側翼状要素の先端部の翼幅方向の位置に実質的に等しいことを特徴とする請求項19に記載の航空機。
- 地上の形状における翼幅が、空港適合性ゲート制限に実質的に等しいことを特徴とする請求項19又は請求項20に記載の航空機。
- 前記航空機が飛行中に、前記下側翼状要素の先端部が、前記翼の形状の空力弾性的変形によって、翼幅方向に前記上側翼状要素の先端部よりさらに外側に伸張することを特徴とする請求項19〜請求項21のいずれか1項に記載の航空機。
- 翼端装置を翼に取付ける方法、又は交換取付けする方法であって、翼の外側端部に請求項1から請求項17のいずれか1項に記載の翼端装置を取付けるステップを含むことを特徴とする方法。
- 翼の外側端部に取付けられた、または取付けるための翼端装置を改修する方法であって、前記翼は翼面を規定し、現有の翼端装置は、前記翼面に対して上方に突出し後縁を有する上側翼状要素を備え、前記方法は、
前記上側翼状要素より小さく且つ根部翼弦と後縁とを有する下側翼状要素を提供するステップと、
前記下側翼状要素を前記上側翼状要素に、前記下側翼状要素の根部翼弦が前記上側翼状要素と重なって且つ前記下側翼状要素は重複部から下方に突出するように、また前記下側翼状要素の後縁は、重複部において前記上側翼状要素の後縁と近接し、また前記上側翼状要素と前記下側翼状要素とが重複部においてなす角度は160°以下であるように取り付けるステップ、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 翼の外側端部に取付けられた翼端装置を有する翼を操作する方法であって、前記翼は翼面を規定し、前記翼端装置は、
前記翼面に対して上方に突出し且つ後縁を有する上側翼状要素と、
前記上側翼状要素に対して取付けられ且つ根部翼弦と後縁とを有する下側翼状要素と、
を備え、
前記下側翼状要素の根部翼弦は前記上側翼状要素と重なり、前記下側翼状要素は重複部から下方に突出し、
前記上側翼状要素は前記下側翼状要素より大きく、前記下側翼状要素の後縁は重複部において前記上側翼状要素の後縁に近接しており、
前記上側翼状要素と前記下側翼状要素とが重複部においてなす角度は160°以下であって、
前記方法は、前記翼を空力荷重に曝し、前記翼の形状が空力弾性的変形を受けて、前記翼の曲がりが翼根部を中心とする翼端装置の回転を引き起し、その結果前記下側翼状要素の先端部が前記上側翼状要素の先端部より翼幅方向外側に伸張するような状態になるステップを含むことを特徴とする方法。
