Mn薄片、Si薄片及びFe2P粉末の15gの、化学量論量Mn1.2F0.8P0.4Si0.6の混合物が、遊星ボールミル内で4のBPR(粉末に対するボールの質量比)で10時間擦り砕かれた。擦り砕くことにより得られた粉末は、円筒形に圧縮され、200mバールのアルゴンガス下でアンプルに封入された。この後、1100℃、2時間の焼成工程、及び850℃、20時間の加熱工程が続いて行われた。試料は、炉が冷えてから取り除かれた。
このように調製された試料の磁気特性は、Quantum Design MPMSXL SQUID 磁力計により測定された。
Claims (9)
- 一般式 (MnxFe1-x)2+zP1-ySiy で表されることを特徴とする磁気熱量材料。
ここで、 0.55≦x<1
0.4≦y<0.8
−0.1≦z≦0.1
である。 - 0.57≦x≦0.8であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の磁気熱量材料。
- 0.45≦y≦0.7であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の磁気熱量材料。
- −0.05≦z≦0.05であることを特徴とする請求項1から3の何れか1項に記載の磁気熱量材料。
- Fe2P型の六方晶構造を有することを特徴とする請求項1から4の何れか1項に記載の磁気熱量材料。
- 材料の出発要素又は出発合金の固相変換又は液相変換を行い、任意に冷却を行い、それから圧縮し、不活性ガス下で焼成及び加熱処理を行い、引き続いて室温まで冷却を行うことにより、又は、出発要素又は出発合金の溶融物の溶融紡糸により請求項1から5に何れか1項に記載の磁気熱量材料を調製する方法。
- 以下の工程:
a)磁気熱量材料に相当する化学量論量の化学要素及び/又は合金を、固相及び/又は液相に変換する工程、
b)任意に工程a)からの反応生成物を固体に変換する工程、
c)工程a)又はb)からの固体を焼成及び/又は加熱処理する工程、
d)工程c)からの焼成した及び/又は加熱処理した固体を、少なくとも100k/sの冷却速度で急冷する工程。
を含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。 - クーラー、熱交換器又は発電機における請求項1から5の何れか1項に記載の磁気熱量材料の使用法。
- 冷蔵庫における請求項8に一致する使用法。
