Description
a.水分の存在下で、大気中CO2を金属塩(好ましくは、金属硫酸塩)と反応させて、金属炭酸塩を得るステップ、および
b.ステップaで得られた金属炭酸塩を、該吸収性物品に組み込むステップ
を含む。
b1.金属炭酸塩を該プラスチックフィルムまたは合成繊維に組み込むステップ、および
b2.該プラスチックフィルムまたは合成繊維を該吸収性物品に組み込むステップ
を含む。
「無機」という用語は、植物や動物由来ではなく、セルロースのような有機材料や石油のような化石燃料を含まない材料を意味する。通常、無機材料は塩である。無機材料の例として、金属炭酸塩、シアン化物、シアン酸塩、炭化物、およびチオシアン酸塩がある。
a.水分の存在下で、大気中CO2を金属塩と反応させて、金属炭酸塩を得るステップ、および

下記方程式にしたがって、CaSO4と大気中CO2から製造されたCaCO3の算定が行われる。

ポリマー顆粒の生産についてCO2当量が見積もられた。すなわち、この実施例における「ゲート」は、完成ポリマー顆粒の生産であると考えられる。
揺りかごからゲートまでおよび揺りかごから墓場までの見積もりがフィルムの生産について実施され、ここで純PE顆粒が、CaCO3で50%が満たされたPE顆粒および大気中CO2由来のCaCO3で50%が満たされた本発明のPE顆粒と比較された。工程を勘案すると、50%のフィラーが妥当であろうと推測される。
類似の見積もりを、CaCO3が満たされたポリマー繊維について実施した。値は、ポリプロピレン(PP)繊維について見積もった。データを表3に示す。工程を勘案すると、20%のフィラーが妥当であろうと推測される。純PP繊維と比較して、推計20%のkg当りのCO2当量の減少が、本発明の20%CaCO3フィラーを使用することによって得ることができる。

Claims (10)
- おむつ、生理用ナプキン、パンティライナー、または男性もしくは女性用失禁用品のような吸収性物品(10)であって、前記吸収性物品(10)は無機材料を含み、前記無機材料は大気中二酸化炭素(CO2)由来の炭素を含む吸収性物品。
- 前記炭素含有無機材料が、1×10―13以上、好ましくは3×10―13以上、更に好ましくは5×10−13以上の14C/12C比率を有する請求項1に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記無機材料は、例えばアルカリ金属(グループ1)、アルカリ土類金属(グループ2)、およびそれらの混合物の炭酸塩のような、炭酸塩である請求項1または2に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記無機材料が炭酸カルシウムである請求項3に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記吸収性物品(10)がプラスチックフィルムを含み、前記無機材料が前記プラスチックフィルム内にある請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の吸水性物品。
- 前記吸収性物品(10)が合成繊維を含み、前記無機材料が前記合成繊維内にある請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の吸水性物品。
- 吸収性物品(10)の製造方法であって、前記製造方法が以下のステップ:
a.水分の存在下で、大気中CO2を金属塩と反応させて、金属炭酸塩を得るステップ、および
b.ステップaで得られた前記金属炭酸塩を、前記吸収性物品(10)に組み込むステップ
を含む吸収性物品の製造方法。 - 前記金属塩が金属硫酸塩である請求項7に記載の製造方法。
- 前記吸収性物品(10)がプラスチックフィルムまたは合成繊維を含み、前記製造方法が下記の追加ステップ:
b1.前記金属炭酸塩を前記プラスチックフィルムまたは合成繊維に組み込むステップ、および
b2.前記プラスチックフィルムまたは合成繊維を前記吸収性物品(10)に組み込むステップ
を含む請求項7または8に記載の製造方法。 - 前記金属炭酸塩が炭酸カルシウムである請求項7から9のいずれか一項に記載の製造方法。
