- 外側翼外板(146)、内側翼外板(144)、及び内側翼外板と外側翼外板との間にはさまれたパネルコア(142)を含む少なくとも一つの翼外板パネル(74)、
桁ウェブ(82)及び桁キャップ(84、86)を有する少なくとも一つの桁(66)であって、桁キャップは、概して位置合わせされた桁キャップコア(130)を有し、かつパネルコア(142)とともに継手(78)を形成する、桁(66)、及び
翼外板パネルと桁との間の接着接合継手を備える翼型。 - 外側翼外板(146)は、継手(78)に重なり、かつ桁キャップ(84、86)と対面接触する、請求項1に記載の翼型。
- 桁(66)は、継手(78)に重なる内側表面板(162)を含む、請求項1又は2に記載の翼型。
- 外側翼外板(146)及び内側表面板(162)の各々は、繊維強化複合樹脂である、請求項3に記載の翼型。
- 桁ウェブ(82)は、桁ウェブコア(128)を含み、かつ
桁(66)は、桁キャップコアを桁ウェブコア(128)に連結するヌードル(136)を含む、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の翼型。 - ヌードル(136)は、シート成形混合物である、請求項5に記載の翼型。
- 桁(66)は、内側表面板(132)及び外側表面板(134)を含み、かつ
桁キャップコア(130)、桁ウェブコア(128)及びヌードル(136)は、内側表面板と外側表面板との間にはさまれる、請求項6に記載の翼型。 - 桁キャップコア(130)は、実質的に固体積層物であり、かつパネルコア(142)に隣接し、かつ
桁ウェブ(82)は、ハニカムコアを含む、請求項1乃至3及び5のいずれか一項に記載の翼型。 - 桁は、背中合わせに設けられ、かつ桁キャップ(84)を形成する反対側に延びるフランジ(124、126)をそれぞれ有する二つのC型部材を含み、かつ
外側外板(146)は、フランジに重なり、かつフランジと対面接触する、請求項1乃至3、5及び8のいずれか一項に記載の翼型。 - 翼型を製造する方法であって、
複合翼外板を組み立てること及び早期硬化させること、
複合桁を組み立てること及び早期硬化させること、並びに
複合翼外板を複合桁に接着接合することにより、複合翼外板を複合桁に装着することを含む、方法。
