Abstract
【解決手段】投写型表示装置1は、6個のLEDからなるLEDアレイ40R,40G,40Bを所定の各色ごとに備えた光源を有する照明光学系2と、各LEDアレイ40R,40G,40Bの点灯を制御する光源制御部30と、インテグレータ素子10と、DMD13とを備え、光源制御部30は、各LEDアレイ40R,40G,40Bの5個のLEDによってインテグレータ素子10の入射面に形成される各々の光源像41R,41G,41Bの形状が一致するように、各LEDアレイ40R,40G,40Bの点灯を制御する。

Description
本発明の実施の形態1について、図面を用いて以下に説明する。図1は、本発明の実施の形態1に係る投写型表示装置1の構成図である。
次に、実施の形態2に係る投写型表示装置1について説明する。図4は、実施の形態2に係る投写型表示装置1の照明光学系2の構成図であり、図5は、実施の形態2に係る投写型表示装置1のインテグレータ素子10の入射面に形成される光源像41R,41G,41Bの一例を示す斜視図である。なお、実施の形態2において、実施の形態1で説明したものと同様構成要素については同一符号を付して説明は省略する。
次に、実施の形態3に係る投写型表示装置1について説明する。図6は、実施の形態3に係る投写型表示装置1の照明光学系2Aの構成図であり、図7は、実施の形態3に係る投写型表示装置1のインテグレータ素子10の入射面に形成される光源像41R,41G,41Bの一例を示す斜視図である。なお、実施の形態3において、実施の形態1,2で説明したものと同様構成要素については同一符号を付して説明は省略する。
Claims (3)
- m個(mは2以上の整数)のLEDからなるLEDアレイを所定の各色ごとに備えた光源を有し、前記LEDアレイから出射される各々の光束を1つの光路の照明光に合成する照明光学系と、
各前記LEDアレイの点灯を制御する光源制御部と、
前記照明光学系から出射される照明光の照度分布を均一化させるインテグレータ素子と、
前記インテグレータ素子から出射される照明光を映像光に変調する画像表示素子とを備え、
前記光源制御部は、各前記LEDアレイのn個(n<mの整数)のLEDによって前記インテグレータ素子の入射面に形成される各々の光源像の形状が一致するように、各前記LEDアレイの点灯を制御する、投写型表示装置。 - 前記光源制御部は、LEDの故障を検出し、故障した前記LEDが形成する光源像の位置と同じ位置に形成する他の前記LEDアレイのLEDを点灯させないように制御する、請求項1記載の投写型表示装置。
- 前記光源制御部は、前記インテグレータ素子の入射面に形成される各々の光源像の形状バランスをとるため、一の前記LEDアレイにおいて不点灯のLEDが複数ある場合、それらが偏在しないように各前記LEDアレイの点灯を制御する、請求項1記載の投写型表示装置。
