Abstract

Description
最初に図1を参照して説明すると、図1は、本発明の一実施形態によるユーザのプリファレンスに基づいて無線電話(wireless telephone)108によってメッセージを自動的に検索するためのシステム100を例示する図である。図1には無線電話が示されているが、本発明は無線電話に限定されない。本発明は、メッセージへのアクセスを可能にし、メッセージ用のストレージエリアを備えた無線デバイスや他のデバイスならば、どのデバイスとも操作可能である。システム100は、コンピューティングデバイス102と無線電話108を具備している。一実施形態では、コンピューティングデバイス102は、通信ネットワーク(例えば、イントラネット、インターネットなど)によってリンクされたコンピュータ、コンピュータサーバ、またはサーバの集まりを含んでいる。別の実施形態では、コンピューティングデバイス102は、音声メールメッセージ、短メッセージサービス(short message service - SMS)メッセージなどのテキストメッセージ、インスタントメッセージ、モバイルメッセージ、グラフィカルメッセージ(例えば、ピクチャ、アイコン、または他の図形要素)、電子メール(つまり、eメール)などを、無線サービスユーザのために処理するように構成されたメッセージングコンピュータシステムにすることができる。また、コンピューティングシステム102は、揮発性メモリ、不揮発性メモリ、または1または2以上の揮発性または不揮発性メモリの組み合わせのように、メッセージ104などのデータをストアするための記憶媒体を備えることもできる。

Claims (10)
- メッセージを検索するためのシステムであって、
少なくとも1つのプロセッサと、
前記少なくとも1つのプロセッサに、
コンピューティングデバイスにユーザに配達するためのメッセージがあることを示す通知を受信するステップと、
前記メッセージを受信して処理するための1または複数のプリファレンスを分析するステップと、
前記1または複数のプリファレンスに応じて、前記コンピューティングデバイスから前記メッセージを要求するステップであって、前記メッセージは前記メッセージの開始部分を含み、残りの部分は後の時間に要求されるものである、ステップと、
前記受信したメッセージを格納するステップと
を含む、ユーザのプリファレンスに基づいてメッセージを検索するための方法を実行させるためのプログラムを記録したメモリと
を備えたことを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記1または複数のプリファレンスの少なくとも1つにより、バッテリ電源に基づいて前記メッセージの検索を遅らせることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記1または複数のプリファレンスの少なくとも1つにより、信号強度に基づいて前記メッセージの検索を遅らせることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 無線電話のゼロ以外の無線信号強度が閾値に満たない場合、検索は延期されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記方法は、前記ユーザから受信した入力に応じて、前記プリファレンスを定義するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記メッセージは、音声メールメッセージ、テキストメッセージ、電子メールメッセージ、ビデオクリップ、およびイメージのうちの1または複数を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記方法は、前記ユーザおよびクライアント無線デバイスの間のやりとりをモニタするステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記方法は、前記ユーザおよびクライアント無線デバイスの間のやりとりに基づいて、前記1または複数のプリファレンスの少なくとも1つを生成するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つのプロセッサに、ユーザのプリファレンスに基づいてメッセージを検索するための方法を実行させるためのプログラムを記録したコンピュータ可読記録媒体であって、前記方法は、
コンピューティングデバイスにユーザに配達するためのメッセージがあることを示す通知を受信するステップであって、前記通知は前記メッセージを含まず、前記メッセージは開始部分および残りの部分を含む、ステップと、
前記受信した通知に基づいて、1または複数のルールを評価するステップと、
前記ルールの評価に応答して、前記メッセージの前記開始部分を要求し、後で、前記メッセージの前記残りの部分を要求するステップを含む、ステップと、
前記受信したメッセージを格納するステップと
