Abstract

Description
本願は、米国特許法119条(e)に基づき、2008年1月22日に出願の米国仮特許出願第61/011,806号の利益を主張するものであり、また、2005年4月20日に出願の米国特許出願第11/110,525号の一部継続出願であり、これらの特許は共に参照によりその全体を本明細書に援用するものとする。
従来の鋸ブレードは通常、鋼コア(例えば単層および二重層コア、ならびにエポキシ、にかわ、コルク、樹脂、銅、または軟鉄などの異なる材料の中間層または「挟み込まれた」層を含むサンドイッチ型コア)を含む。前記のように、そのような既存のブレードは、ブレードの周縁部から内側に延びる切欠きの形態のガレットを有する。これらのガレットは、カッタ間に空間を形成するように配置されることが多く、切断を手助けし、切断作業中および製造工程時の応力を軽減する。従来のブレードによれば、ガレットは通常、クラックが生じやすい領域に円形形状を含む。
図1a〜1eは、本発明の実施形態による楕円形ガレットを用いて構成された丸鋸ブレードを示している。見て分かるように、丸鋸ブレード10は、一連の楕円形ガレット16によって分離された周縁切断要素12を有する。
Claims (6)
- 第1の平面側および第2の平面側、中心軸穴、ならびに外縁部を有する円形コアと、
前記コアの前記外縁部にある複数の切断要素と、
前記コアの前記外縁部から半径方向内側に延びる1つまたは複数のガレットを含み、
前記ガレットは、鋸ブレードの周縁部から半径方向内側に延び、ガレットの構造の首部分から始まるスリットを含む形状を有し、
前記スリットは、約45°で広がり、基本的に、ガレット構造の外形をたどり、円形の終点で終端し、
前記複数の切断要素は、金属結合剤に保持された超砥粒を含む砥粒含有セグメントを含み、
前記超砥粒は、ダイヤモンドおよび立方窒化ホウ素の混合物を含み、前記金属結合は、鉄、銅、およびスズからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つを含み、
前記コアは、前記第1および第2の平面側間に配置された音波減衰材料の中間層を有するサンドイッチ型コアである、
丸鋸ブレード。 - 前記円形コアを貫通する複数の孔を有する、請求項1に記載の丸鋸ブレード。
- 前記円形コアは、非金属材料からなる、請求項1または2に記載の丸鋸ブレード。
- 前記円形コアは、鋼からなる、請求項1または2に記載の丸鋸ブレード。
- 前記切断要素は切断歯をさらに含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の丸鋸ブレード。
- ブレード直径に対する前記砥粒含有セグメントの比は0.2以上である、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の丸鋸ブレード。
