Abstract

ホットメルト接着剤は室温で固体であるが、加熱すると液体または流体状態に溶融する。ホットメルト接着剤は、この液体または流体状態のある間に基体に塗布される。冷却すると、接着剤はその固体形態に復帰する。接着剤の冷却して形成される硬質相(単数または複数)は、最終の接着剤にあらゆる凝集力(強度、強靱性、クリープおよび耐熱性)を与える。また、溶融形態で塗布された「反応性」または架橋可能なホットメルト接着剤は、冷却されて固化し、その後化学架橋反応によって硬化される。従来の液体硬化接着剤と比較して、ホットメルト硬化性接着剤の利点は、冷却したとき、硬化する前に「グリーン強度(green strength)」を付与する能力である。非硬化ホットメルト接着剤と比較して、ホットメルト硬化性接着剤の利点としては、改善された耐熱性および耐化学性が挙げられる。

(II)一般構造:
L−(Y)Q

(III)上記構造中、PおよびQが、それぞれ、前記ジエンおよびジエノファイルの1種の最高官能価であり、かつ少なくとも1つのPおよびQは、2.1より大きい値を有すること
を含む。別の実施形態では、少なくとも1つのPまたはQは、3.0未満の値を有する。さらなる実施形態では、PおよびQの加算は5.0に等しいか、5.0より大きい値を有する。
すべての%は、特に明記しない限り接着剤組成物の重量%である。

(III)上記構造中、PおよびQが、最高官能価であり、前記ジエンおよびジエノファイルの平均官能価でなく、少なくとも1つのPまたはQは、2.1より大きい値を有すること
を含む。1つの態様では、少なくとも1つのPまたはQは、3.0未満である。さらなる実施形態では、PおよびQの和は、5.0に等しい値または5.0より大きい値を有する。
試料を表1に示すように調製した。MFF(単数または複数)およびMFM(単数または複数)を共にブレンドし、120〜160℃の範囲の固定温度で15〜30分間加熱した。
表3に明記されているように、酸化防止剤を試料1に120℃で添加し、融解粘度および熱安定性を共に評価した。高い温度で保持した後、時間の関数として粘度を測定し、PF−375B;Henkel Corporationによって供給された湿気硬化ポリウレタンホットメルトと比較した。
可逆性を立証するために、試料1+2%のIrgastab UV−10を再製造し、様々な条件に曝し、対応する融解粘度を測定した。条件および融解粘度を表4にまとめた。
Claims (20)
- a)少なくとも1種の多官能ジエンモノマー/プレポリマー;
L−(X)P
[式中、
i)Lは、(ポリ)ウレタン、(ポリ)尿素、(ポリ)エステル、(ポリ)カーボネート、(ポリ)アミド、(ポリ)イミド、(ポリ)スチレン、(ポリ)エーテル、(ポリ)(メタ)アクリレート、(ポリ)オレフィン、(ポリ)シロキサン、無水マレイン酸のコポリマーを含めた上記のコポリマー、およびそれらの混合物からなる群より選択され、
ii)Xは、非環式1,3−ジエン、シクロペンタジエン、シクロヘキサジエン、フラン、フルベン、ピロール、ナフタレンおよびアントラセンの1種以上を含有するジエンであり、および
iii)Pは、0より大きい]と、
b)少なくとも1種の多官能ジエノファイルモノマー/プレポリマー;
L−(Y)Q
[式中、
i)Lは、(ポリ)ウレタン、(ポリ)尿素、(ポリ)エステル、(ポリ)カーボネート、(ポリ)アミド、(ポリ)イミド、(ポリ)スチレン、(ポリ)エーテル、(ポリ)(メタ)アクリレート、(ポリ)オレフィン、(ポリ)シロキサン、無水マレイン酸のコポリマーを含めた上記のコポリマー、またはそれらの混合物からなる群より選択され、
ii)Yは、マレイミド、イソマレイミド、シトラコンイミド、イタコンイミド、マレエート、フマレート、アクリレート、メタクリレート、シアノアクリレート、ベンゾキノン、ベンゾキノンオキシム、ベンゾキノンイミン、ナフタキノン、アルキリデンマロネートおよび電子吸引性基を含有するアルキン、ならびにそれらの混合物、の1種以上を含むジエノファイルであり、および
iii)Qは、0より大きい]と
を含み、かつ上記式で、少なくとも1つのPまたはQは、2.1より大きい値を有する、熱可逆的ホットメルト接着剤。 - PまたはQの少なくとも1つが3.0未満の値を有する、請求項1に記載の熱可逆的ホットメルト接着剤。
- 前記Pおよび前記Qの合計が、5.0に等しいか、5.0より大きい値を有する、請求項2に記載の熱可逆的ホットメルト接着剤。
- さらに熱可塑性ポリマーを含む、請求項1に記載の接着剤。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリマーが、酸、無水物またはヒドロキシル基を含む、請求項8に記載の接着剤。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリマーが、ポリ(メタ)アクリレートである、請求項8に記載の接着剤。
- さらに、粘着付与剤、硬化触媒、接着促進剤、酸化防止剤、および/またはフィラーを含む、請求項1に記載の接着剤。
- a)少なくとも1種の多官能ジエンモノマー/プレポリマー;
L−(X)P
および少なくとも1種の多官能ジエノファイルモノマー/プレポリマー;
L−(Y)Q
を混合するステップであって、上記構造中、
i)Lは、(ポリ)ウレタン、(ポリ)尿素、(ポリ)エステル、(ポリ)カーボネート、(ポリ)アミド、(ポリ)イミド、(ポリ)スチレン、(ポリ)エーテル、(ポリ)(メタ)アクリレート、(ポリ)オレフィン、(ポリ)シロキサン、無水マレイン酸のコポリマーを含めた上記のコポリマー、およびそれらの混合物、からなる群より選択され、
ii)Xは、非環式1,3−ジエン、シクロペンタジエン、シクロヘキサジエン、フラン、フルベン、ピロール、ナフタレンおよびアントラセンの1種以上を含有するジエンであり、
iii)Yは、マレイミド、イソマレイミド、シトラコンイミド、イタコンイミド、マレエート、フマレート、アクリレート、メタクリレート、シアノアクリレート、ベンゾキノン、ベンゾキノンオキシム、ベンゾキノンイミン、ナフタキノン、アルキリデンマロネート、電子吸引性基を含有するアルキン、およびそれらの混合物、の1種以上を含むジエノファイルであり、および
iv)少なくとも1つのPまたはQは、2.1より大きい値を有する、ステップと、
b)前記混合物を前記ジエン/ジエノファイル結合解離温度より上の温度で加熱するステップと
を含む、熱可逆的ホットメルト接着剤を調製する方法。 - さらに、
c)前記混合物を前記ジエン/ジエノファイル結合解離温度より下の温度で冷却するステップと、
d)前記混合物を前記ジエン/ジエノファイル結合解離温度より下の温度で保存および/または出荷するステップと
を含む、請求項12に記載の方法。 - 請求項1に記載の熱可逆的ホットメルト接着剤組成物を前記ジエン/ジエノファイル結合解離温度より上の温度で加熱して、非架橋付加物を形成するステップと、前記非架橋付加物を第1の基体上に塗布するステップと、第2の基体を前記第1の基体に塗布された前記付加物と接触させるステップと、前記塗布された付加物を冷却して、それによって前記付加物を硬化して前記第2の基体に前記第1の基体を接合するステップと、を含む、基体を共に接合する方法。
- 少なくとも1種の基体が、紙、プラスチック、木材、布地、発泡体、ガラス、金属、複合体またはセラミックである、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 書籍、包装フィルム、剛性パネル、家具、窓、履物、自動車前照灯、自動車トリムまたは衣料品のための接合された布地/織物である、請求項1に記載の接着剤を用いて製造された物品。
- a)少なくとも1種の多官能ジエンモノマー/プレポリマー;
L−(X)P
[式中、
i)Lは、(ポリ)ウレタン、(ポリ)尿素、(ポリ)エステル、(ポリ)カーボネート、(ポリ)アミド、(ポリ)イミド、(ポリ)スチレン、(ポリ)エーテル、(ポリ)(メタ)アクリレート、(ポリ)オレフィン、(ポリ)シロキサン、無水マレイン酸のコポリマーを含めた上記のコポリマー、およびそれらの混合物、からなる群より選択され、
ii)Xは、非環式1,3−ジエン、シクロペンタジエン、シクロヘキサジエン、フラン、フルベン、ピロール、ナフタレンおよびアントラセンの1種以上を含有するジエンであり、
iii)Pは、0より大きい]と、
b)少なくとも1つの多官能ジエノファイルモノマー/プレポリマー;
L−(Y)Q
[式中、
i)Lは、(ポリ)ウレタン、(ポリ)尿素、(ポリ)エステル、(ポリ)カーボネート、(ポリ)アミド、(ポリ)イミド、(ポリ)スチレン、(ポリ)エーテル、(ポリ)(メタ)アクリレート、(ポリ)オレフィン、(ポリ)シロキサン、無水マレイン酸のコポリマーを含めた上記のコポリマー、およびそれらの混合物からなる群より選択され、
ii)Yは、マレイミド、イソマレイミド、シトラコンイミド、イタコンイミド、マレエート、フマレート、アクリレート、メタクリレート、シアノアクリレート、ベンゾキノン、ベンゾキノンオキシム、ベンゾキノンイミン、ナフタキノン、アルキリデンマロネート、電子吸引性基を含有するアルキン、およびそれらの混合物、の1種以上を含むジエノファイルであり、および
iii)Qは、0より大きい]と、
c)任意に、溶媒と
を含み、少なくとも1つのPまたはQは、2.1より大きい値を有する、熱可逆的プライマー層組成物。 - 請求項17に記載の組成物を前記ジエン/ジエノファイル結合解離温度より上の温度で加熱して非架橋付加物を形成するステップと、プライマー被膜として前記非架橋付加物を基体上に塗布するステップと、前記付加物を冷却して、それによって前記付加物を架橋プライマー層へと硬化するステップと、を含む、熱可逆的プライマー層を塗布するための方法。
- 少なくとも前記基体が、紙、プラスチック、木材、布地、発泡体、ガラス、金属、複合体またはセラミックである、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 製造品が、書籍、包装フィルム、剛性パネル、家具、窓、履物、自動車前照灯、自動車トリムまたは衣料品のための接合された布地/織物である、請求項17に記載のプライマー層組成物を用いる前記製造品。
