Abstract
Description
即ち、発光ガラス基体を作製するステップと、このステップにおいて、前記発光ガラス基体は下記化学式(2)に記載の複合酸化物を含有する。
前記発光ガラス基体の表面に金属層を形成するステップと、
前記発光ガラス基体及び金属層を真空で焼戻し処理することにより、前記金属層に金属微細構造を形成させ、冷却した後、所要の発光ガラス素子を形成するステップとを備える発光ガラス素子の製造方法である。
即ち、上述した製造方法に基づいて製造された発光ガラス素子を得るステップと、
金属層に対して陰極線を発射し、陰極線の励起により金属層と発光ガラス基体との間に表面プラズモンが形成されることによって、発光ガラス基体を発光させるステップと、を備える発光ガラス素子の発光方法である。
該発光ガラス基体13にはプラセオジムの酸化物が含まれ、該プラセオジムの酸化物は、このような構成の発光ガラスにおいて、十分にその発光効果が発揮できる。該発光ガラス基体13はさらに良好な透光性能を有する。

Claims (10)
- 前記アルカリ金属元素は、ナトリウム(Na)、カリウム(K)もしくはリチウム(Li)から選択された少なくとも一種であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の発光ガラス素子。
- 前記金属層の金属は、金、銀、アルミニウム、銅、チタニウム、鉄、ニッケル、コバルト、クロミウム、白金、パラジウム、マグネシウムもしくは亜鉛から選択された少なくとも一種であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の発光ガラス素子。
- 前記金属層の金属は、金、銀もしくはアルミニウムから選択された少なくとも一種であることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の発光ガラス素子。
- 前記金属層の厚さは、0.5ナノメータ〜200ナノメータであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の発光ガラス素子。
- 前記発光ガラス基体を作製するステップは、それぞれ対応するモル数のアルカリ金属塩、SiO2、Y2O3及びPr6O11の各原料を準備し、1200°C〜1500°Cの温度で混合・溶融し、冷却してから、還元雰囲気に置かれ、600°C〜1100°Cの温度で焼戻し、発光ガラス基体を得ることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の発光ガラス素子の製造方法。
- 前記金属層は、金属スパッタリング或いは蒸着により発光ガラス基体の表面に形成されるものであることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の発光ガラス素子の製造方法。
- 真空での前記焼戻し処理は、50°C〜650°Cの温度で行い、焼戻し時間が5分間〜5時間であることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の発光ガラス素子の製造方法。
- 発光ガラス素子の発光方法であって、
前記請求項6乃至請求項9のいずれか1項に記載の発光ガラス素子の製造方法に基づいて製造される前記発光ガラス素子を得るステップと、
前記金属層に対して陰極線を発射し、前記陰極線の励起により前記金属層と前記発光ガラス基体との間に表面プラズモンが形成されることによって、前記発光ガラス基体を発光させるステップと、を備えることを特徴とする、発光ガラス素子の発光方法。
