2−NP: 2−ニトロフェノール
4−NP: 4−ニトロフェノール
2,4−DNP: 2,4−ジニトロフェノール
2,6−DNP: 2,6−ジニトロフェノール
2,4,6−TNP:2,4,6−トリニトロフェノール、一般名:ピクリン酸
強アルカリ性である芳香族ニトロ化合物の製造からの廃水4Lを、実験用攪拌容器にいれ、200℃まで徐々に加熱した。全圧力が20barになるまで酸素をさらに加えた。3時間後、廃水を冷却して、芳香族ニトロ化合物の濃度を測定した。表1に示すように、予備還元なしの湿式酸化は、ニトロフェノールの62%の分解の達成をするのみであった。
強アルカリ性である芳香族ニトロ化合物の製造からの廃水1Lを、中和および酸性化するために、ビーカー中で硫酸と混合した。固体芳香族ニトロヒドロキシ化合物からなる白色沈殿が生成した。これらの固体が爆発危険性を示し得ることは無視できないため、安全上の理由から湿式酸化を行わなかった。
芳香族ニトロ化合物の製造からの廃水4.5Lを、亜硫酸ナトリウム270gと混合し、実験用攪拌容器に入れて、70℃で1時間維持した。このようにして処理した廃水4Lを、次いで、硫酸67mLおよび鉄(II)硫酸塩七水和物6gと混合した。その後、温度を徐々に200℃まで上げ、全圧20barまで酸素を添加した。3時間後、廃水を冷却して、芳香族ニトロ化合物の濃度を測定した。表2に示すように、全てのニトロフェノールが、検出限界以下まで取り除かれた。しかしながら、このような処理は還元剤の高い価格のために経済的ではない。
芳香族ニトロ化合物の製造からの廃水4または5Lを、それぞれ、鉄片200gまたは亜炭粉末200gと混合し、200℃で3時間維持した。その後、廃水を冷却して、芳香族ニトロ化合物の濃度を測定した。続く湿式酸化は行わなかった。表3に示すように、予備還元によるニトロフェノール分解の割合は、鉄片では64%であり、亜炭では86%であった。
芳香族ニトロ化合物の製造からの廃水5Lを、亜炭粉末200gと混合し、200℃で3時間維持した。次いで、このようにして処理した廃水4Lを、硫酸51mLと鉄(II)硫酸塩七水和物6gと混合した。その後、温度を徐々に200℃まで上げ、全圧20barまで酸素を添加した。3時間後、廃水を冷却して、ニトロフェノールの濃度を測定した。表4に示すように、全てのニトロフェノールが検出限界以下まで取り除かれた。
Claims (6)
- 芳香族ニトロ化合物および/または芳香族ニトロヒドロキシ化合物を含有する廃水を処理するための方法であって、第1段階において、廃水を、廃水中で塩を形成しない有機還元剤と混合し還元性条件下で処理し、次いで、第2段階において、第1段階で得られた廃水を、酸性化し、酸化剤を用いて酸化することを特徴とする方法。
- 使用する有機還元剤が、廃水中で塩を形成しない有機還元剤であり、泥炭、亜炭および/または無煙炭であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 酸素を酸化剤として使用することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第2段階を反応容器中で行い、その中に酸を直接入れて、酸化を行うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第1段階をアルカリ性条件下で操作することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 芳香族ニトロ化合物および/または芳香族ニトロヒドロキシ化合物を含有する廃水がニトロベンゼンまたはジニトロトルエンの製造に由来することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
