- 光源のアレイと、
該光源のアレイと前記光源からの光を放出するための光出力窓との間に配置される遠隔蛍光体層及び/又は散乱層と、
を有する照明システムであって、
前記光源のアレイにおける少なくとも1つの光源は、該光源のアレイにおける他の光源とは異なる発光特性を有し、
前記遠隔蛍光体層及び/又は散乱層は前記光源のアレイから或る距離に配置され、前記遠隔蛍光体層は前記光源により放出される光の少なくとも一部を異なる色の光に変換する発光物質を有し、前記散乱層は前記光源により放出される光の少なくとも一部を散乱させる散乱構造及び/又は散乱物質を有し、前記少なくとも1つの光源の発光特性の差を少なくとも部分的に補償するために、前記発光物質は前記遠隔蛍光体層にわたり分布され、前記散乱構造及び/又は散乱物質は前記散乱層にわたり分布される照明システム。 - 請求項1に記載の照明システムにおいて、前記発光特性が、
光の強度、
光の色、
角度的発光プロファイル、
の何れかを有する照明システム。 - 請求項1又は請求項2に記載の照明システムにおいて、前記発光物質の分布が前記発光特性の差を少なくとも部分的に補償するために前記発光物質の局部的変化を有し、及び/又は前記散乱構造及び/又は散乱物質の分布が前記発光特性の差を少なくとも部分的に補償するために局部的変化を有し、前記局部的変化が、
前記遠隔蛍光体層にわたる前記発光物質の密度の変化、及び/又は前記散乱層にわたる前記散乱構造及び/又は散乱物質の密度の変化、
前記遠隔蛍光体層にわたる前記発光物質の厚さの変化、及び/又は前記散乱層にわたる前記散乱構造及び/又は散乱物質の厚さの変化、
前記遠隔蛍光体層にわたる前記発光物質内の異なる蛍光体物質及び/又は散乱物質の混合の変化であって、前記発光物質は異なる蛍光体物質及び/又は散乱物質の混合を有し、各固有の蛍光体物質が前記光源により放出される光の固有の部分を吸収すると共に固有の色の光を放出するような変化、
前記遠隔蛍光体層を経る光学経路の長さを変えるための該遠隔蛍光体層にわたる散乱及び/又は反射特性の変化、
の何れかを有する照明システム。 - 請求項1、2又は3に記載の照明システムにおいて、前記光源のアレイと前記遠隔蛍光体層及び/又は前記散乱層との組み合わせが、前記光出力窓にわたり実質的に均一な光の分布を発生させる照明システム。
- 請求項4に記載の照明システムにおいて、前記遠隔蛍光体層及び/又は前記散乱層が、前記光出力窓にわたる光の分布の均一性を最適化するために当該照明システム内で移動可能である照明システム。
- 請求項1、2又は3に記載の照明システムにおいて、該照明システムは各々が前記光源のアレイと前記光出力窓との間に配置された複数の遠隔蛍光体層を有し、各遠隔蛍光体層が前記光源により放出される光の固有の部分を吸収すると共に固有の色の光を放出する固有の発光物質を有する照明システム。
- 前記複数の遠隔蛍光体層が単一の担体材料上に設けられる請求項6に記載の照明システム。
- 請求項1ないし7の何れか一項に記載の照明システムにおいて、前記発光物質が印刷処理により前記遠隔蛍光体層にわたり前記分布を生じさせる印刷可能な発光物質であり、及び/又は前記散乱物質が印刷処理により前記散乱層にわたり前記分布を生じさせる印刷可能な散乱物質である照明システム。
- 請求項1ないし8の何れか一項に記載の照明システムにおいて、前記光源のアレイが発光ダイオードのアレイを有する照明システム。
- 請求項1ないし9の何れか一項に記載の照明システムにおいて、前記光源のアレイにおける光源が、400ナノメートルと490ナノメートルとの間の範囲内に中心波長を持つ光を放出する照明システム。
- 請求項1ないし10の何れか一項に記載の照明システムにおける前記光源のアレイから或る距離に配置される遠隔蛍光体層であって、該遠隔蛍光体層は前記光源により放出される光の少なくとも一部を異なる色の光に変換する発光物質を有し、該発光物質が前記少なくとも1つの光源の発光特性の差を補償するために前記遠隔蛍光体層にわたり分布される遠隔蛍光体層。
- 請求項1ないし10の何れか一項に記載の照明システムにおける前記光源のアレイから或る距離に配置される散乱層であって、該散乱層は前記光源により放出される光の少なくとも一部を散乱させる散乱構造及び/又は散乱物質を有し、該散乱構造及び/又は散乱物質が前記少なくとも1つの光源の発光特性の差を補償するために前記散乱層にわたり分布される散乱層。
- 請求項1ないし10の何れか一項に記載の照明システムを有する照明器具。
- 請求項1ないし10の何れか一項に記載の照明システムを有する表示装置。
- 照明システムにおける少なくとも1つの光源の発光特性を少なくとも部分的に補正する方法であって、前記照明システムは光源のアレイと、該光源のアレイと前記光源からの光を放出するための光出力窓との間に配置される遠隔蛍光体層及び/又は散乱層とを有し、前記少なくとも1つの光源は前記光源のアレイにおける他の光源とは異なる発光特性を有し、前記方法が、
前記遠隔蛍光体層及び/又は前記散乱層を設ける前に、前記照明システムの前記光出力窓にわたる発光特性の変化を決定するステップと、
前記少なくとも1つの光源の発光特性の差を補償するために要する、発光物質及び/又は散乱構造及び/又は散乱物質の分布を決定するステップと、
前記発光特性の差を少なくとも部分的に補償するための前記遠隔蛍光体層を生成するために前記決定された分布に従って前記発光物質を設け、及び/又は前記発光特性の差を少なくとも部分的に補償するための前記散乱層を生成するために前記決定された分布に従って前記散乱構造及び/又は前記散乱物資を設けるステップと、
前記照明システムに前記遠隔蛍光体層及び/又は前記散乱層を設けるステップと、
を有する方法。
