Claims (19)
- i(iは、1、5、9、…)フレーム及びi+2フレーム期間の間、j(jは、1、3、5、7、…)番目走査線に走査信号を順次供給する第1段階と、i+1フレーム及びi+3フレーム期間の間、j+1番目走査線に走査信号を順次供給する第2段階と、を含み、
前記iフレーム及びi+2フレーム期間の間、画素が非発光状態に設定されることを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記画素は、水平ラインごとに形成された発光制御線のうちいずれか1つと接続され、前記発光制御線に発光制御信号が供給される時、非発光状態に設定されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記j番目走査線に走査信号が供給される時、j番目発光制御線及びj+1番目発光制御線に発光制御信号が供給されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記j+1番目走査線に走査信号が供給される時、j番目発光制御線及びj+1番目発光制御線への発光制御信号の供給が中断されることを特徴とする請求項2または3に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- パネルの上部及び下部にそれぞれ形成された2つ以上の発光制御線に供給される発光制御信号は、前記上部及び下部以外の領域に形成された発光制御線に供給される発光制御信号よりも広い幅に設定されることを特徴とする請求項2〜4のいずれか1項に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記パネルの中心部から前記パネルの上部及び下部へ行くほど前記発光制御信号の幅が広くなるように設定されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記パネルの上部及び下部に位置された画素に供給されるデータのビットを変更する段階をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項5または6に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記発光制御信号が広い幅に設定されることにより損失される輝度が補償されるように、前記データのビットが変更されることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記iフレーム及びi+1フレーム期間の間に供給される走査信号に対応して左側データ信号が供給され、前記i+2フレーム及びi+3フレーム期間の間に供給される走査信号に対応して右側データ信号が供給されることを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 走査線及びデータ線の交差部に位置される画素と、
i(iは、1、5、9、…)フレーム及びi+2フレーム期間の間、j(jは、1、3、5、7、…)番目走査線に走査信号を順次供給し、i+1フレーム及びi+3フレーム期間の間、j+1番目走査線に走査信号を順次供給する走査駆動部と、
前記走査信号と同期するように前記データ線にデータ信号を供給するデータ駆動部と、を備え、
前記走査駆動部は、前記iフレーム及びi+2フレーム期間の間、前記画素が非発光状態に設定されるように発光制御線に発光制御信号を供給することを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記走査駆動部は、前記j番目走査線に走査信号が供給される時、j番目発光制御線及びj+1番目発光制御線に発光制御信号を供給することを特徴とする請求項10に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記走査駆動部は、前記j+1番目走査線に走査信号が供給される時、j番目発光制御線及びj+1番目発光制御線への発光制御信号の供給を中断することを特徴とする請求項10または11に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記走査駆動部は、パネルの上部及び下部にそれぞれ形成された2つ以上の発光制御線に供給される発光制御信号を、前記上部及び下部以外の領域に形成された発光制御線に供給される発光制御信号よりも広い幅で供給することを特徴とする請求項10〜12のいずれか1項に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記パネルの中心部から前記パネルの上部及び下部へ行くほど前記発光制御信号の幅が広くなるように設定されることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記パネルの上部及び下部に位置された画素に供給されるデータのビットを変更して前記データ駆動部に供給するデータ変換部をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項13または14に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記データ変換部は、前記発光制御信号が広い幅に設定されることにより損失される輝度が補償されるように、前記データのビットを変更することを特徴とする請求項15に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記データ駆動部は、前記iフレーム及びi+1フレーム期間の間に供給される走査信号に対応して左側データ信号を供給し、前記i+2フレーム及びi+3フレーム期間の間に供給される走査信号に対応して右側データ信号を供給することを特徴とする請求項10〜16のいずれか1項に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- j番目発光制御線及びj+1番目発光制御線は、電気的に接続されることを特徴とする請求項10〜17のいずれか1項に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記画素のそれぞれは、
有機発光ダイオードと、
前記有機発光ダイオードに供給される電流量を制御する画素回路と、
前記有機発光ダイオードと前記画素回路との間に接続され、前記発光制御線に発光制御信号が供給される時にターンオフされ、前記発光制御線に発光制御信号が供給されない時にターンオンされる制御トランジスタと、
を備えることを特徴とする請求項10〜18のいずれか1項に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
