Abstract

Claims (20)
- 高輝度放電(HID)ランプの瞬時始動用の回路であって、
前記HIDランプに点灯電圧を供給する手段であって、25キロボルト未満の振幅と、約20ヘルツ以上の周波数とを有する絶縁破壊電圧パルスを供給する手段を含む点灯電圧供給手段を有する回路。 - 前記供給手段の前記周波数は100ヘルツを上回る、請求項1に記載の回路。
- 前記供給手段の前記周波数は約150ヘルツである、請求項1に記載の回路。
- 前記供給手段の前記振幅は約10キロボルトである、請求項3に記載の回路。
- 前記供給手段の前記振幅は約15キロボルト未満である、請求項1に記載の回路。
- 前記供給手段の前記振幅は約13キロボルトである、請求項5に記載の回路。
- 前記供給手段の前記周波数は約20ヘルツである、請求項6に記載の回路。
- 前記供給手段の前記振幅は約10キロボルトである、請求項1に記載の回路。
- 前記供給手段の前記周波数は約150ヘルツである、請求項8に記載の回路。
- 前記供給手段の前記振幅は約8キロボルトである、請求項1に記載の回路。

- 高輝度放電(HID)ランプを再点灯する方法であって、
20キロボルト未満の振幅を有する低電圧パルスを、前記HIDランプに供給するステップと、
約20ヘルツ〜約500ヘルツの範囲の周波数において、前記低電圧パルスを反復させるステップとを有する方法。 - 前記供給ステップは約8キロボルトの振幅におけるものであり、前記周波数は約500ヘルツである、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記供給手段のパルス幅は約200ナノ秒であり、前記パルスの間の期間は約2ミリ秒である、請求項18に記載の方法。
