Abstract
Description
本出願は、米国仮特許出願第61/075466号(2008年6月25日付出願)、同第61/094256号(2008年9月4日付出願)、及び同第61/116419号(2008年11月20日付出願)の利益を主張する。前記仮出願それぞれの開示は、そのまま本明細書に参照により組み込まれる。
本発明は、多世帯住宅(MDU)用途における水平ケーブル配線用ドロップアクセスロケーションのシステム及びその敷設方法を目的とする。
Claims (25)
- ドロップロケーションへの通信アクセスのためのシステムであって、
貫通して形成された穴を伴う導管部分を有し、1つ以上の通信線と、ダクトを概して平らな表面に取り付けるための取り付け部分と、を包含する、ダクトと、
ベース及びカバーを含むアクセスボックスと、を備え、前記アクセスボックスが、前記ベースに形成された取り付けセクションと、前記ベース及び前記カバーのうち少なくとも1つに形成されたたるみ格納セクションと、前記ベースに配置された通信線カップリングデバイス取り付けエリアと、を含み、前記取り付けセクションが、前記ダクトの外形にかぶさって、それ自体から張り出すように構成され、前記たるみ格納セクションが、前記導管部分からアクセスされる通信線を前記カップリングデバイス取り付けエリアに送り、そのアクセスされた通信線の余分量を格納するための1つ以上のガイドを備え、前記通信線カップリングデバイス取り付けエリアが、前記アクセスされた通信線をドロップケーブルに接続するカップリング、アダプタ、及びスプライスのうち少なくとも1つを受け取るように構成される、システム。 - 前記カップリングデバイス取り付けエリアが、融着スプライス、機械的スプライス、カップリング、及びアダプタのうち少なくとも1つを受け取るように構成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記ダクトが可撓性材料で形成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記1つ以上の通信線が、複数のほぐれた光ファイバ及び1つのファイバリボンケーブルのうち1つを備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記1つ以上の通信線が、同軸ケーブル、通信銅線、及び電線のうち少なくとも1つを備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記アクセスされた通信線が光ファイバを備え、前記光ファイバが現場終端可能な光ファイバコネクタに終端され、前記カップリングデバイス取り付けエリアが、2つの光ファイバコネクタを受け取り接続するように構成されたアダプタを備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記たるみ格納セクションが、前記アクセスされた光ファイバがその最低曲げ半径を超えることを防ぐための1つ以上の曲げ半径制御構造を含む、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記ドロップケーブルが、コネクタで予め接続準備されたファイバピグテールを備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記ダクト取り付け部分がツバを備え、前記ツバが、その少なくとも1面に配置された接着剤裏張りを更に含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記ドロップケーブルが、多世帯住宅(MDU)の個々の住戸に連結される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記システムが、MDU、MTU、ホテル、病院、学校、及びアパートのうち1つの廊下に取り付けられる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記アクセスボックスが、その取り外し可能なカバーで覆われたときに、約0.63cm〜約3.8cm(0.25インチ〜約1.5インチ)の深さを有する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記取り付けセクションが、更に、前記取り付けられたダクトと前記取り外し可能なカバーとの間に配置された張り出したブリッジ支持体を含み、前記張り出したブリッジ支持体が前記取り付けセクションに強度を付加し、露出されているアクセスされた通信線を覆う、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記ダクトが、テレコミュニケーションサービスの分離を提供するように構成された複数の長手方向スリットを備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記ダクトが、前記導管部分に配置された1つ以上の通信線へのアクセスを可能にするために前記導管部分に形成されたスリットを備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記1つ以上の通信線が、更に、電力線を備え、前記電力線が、中断されることのないDC電力及びAC電力のうち少なくとも1つを前記ドロップロケーションで個々の住戸に位置づけられた光ネットワークターミナルに供給する、請求項5に記載のシステム。
- 前記ダクトが、更に、追加的サービス及び修理のいずれかを提供するための追加的通信線の挿入を可能にするために前記導管部分の穴に配置された内管を備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記ダクトが、低プロファイルの接着剤で裏張りされたリボンファイバテープを備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 建物の廊下のドロップロケーションへの通信アクセスを敷設するためのシステムであって、
貫通して形成された穴を伴う導管部分を有し、1つ以上の通信線と、ダクトを概して平らな表面に取り付けるための取り付け部分と、を包含するダクトであり、少なくともそのツバ部分に配置された接着剤を含む、ダクトと、
格納構造から前記ダクトを連続的に受け取るためのダクトアプリケータツールと、を備え、前記アプリケータツールは、概して平面のフレームを有し、この平面のフレームは少なくとも1つのダクトチャネルを支え、このダクトチャネルはダクトを受け取り、概して平らな表面に前記ダクトが適用される際に前記ダクトに押圧を付加する支持面を提供する、システムにおいて、前記アプリケータツールは、前記フレームの少なくとも一端に配置可能な1つ以上のダクトガイドを含み、前記1つ以上のダクトガイドは、前記ダクトをその格納構造から前記少なくとも1つのダクトチャネルに導く、システム。 - 前記ダクトアプリケータツールが、適切な押圧が前記ダクトアプリケータツールに付加されたことを敷設者に示す目安を提供するために前記平面のフレームに連結された圧力機構を含む、請求項19に記載のシステム。
- 前記ダクトアプリケータツールが、前記ダクトが前記概して平らな表面に連続的に適用されるにつれて接着剤で裏張りされたダクトからライナーを連続的に取り外すためにライナー取り外し構造を含む、請求項19に記載のシステム。
- 前記ダクトアプリケータツールが、参照面に対する前記ツールの位置を維持するために前記参照面に前記フレームを連結する位置調整機構を更に備える、請求項19に記載のシステム。
- 既存のMDU、MTU、又は他の同様の住宅又は商用建物の廊下に通信線を提供するための方法であって、
前記建物の廊下にダクトを敷設する工程において、前記ダクトが、前記ダクトの導管部分内に配置されたほぐれた状態でパックされた複数のバッファ光ファイバ及び1つのリボンファイバケーブルのうち1つを含む、敷設する工程と、
少なくとも1つの光ファイバに、第1のファイバドロップロケーションにて前記ダクトからアクセスする工程と、
第1のドロップアクセスボックスを第1のドロップロケーションに敷設する工程において、前記第1のドロップアクセスボックスがベース及びカバーを含み、前記アクセスボックスが、前記ベースに形成された取り付けセクションと、前記ベースに形成されたたるみ格納セクションと、前記ベースに配置された通信線カップリングデバイス取り付けエリアと、を含み、前記アクセスボックスが張り出すやり方で前記ダクト上に取り付けられて前記アクセスされたファイバを覆う、敷設する工程と、
前記アクセスされたファイバを終端する工程と、
前記終端した、アクセスされたファイバをカップリングに連結し、前記カップリングを前記通信線カップリングデバイス取り付けエリアに取り付ける工程と、
前記アクセスされたファイバからのファイバたるみを、前記ドロップアクセスボックスのたるみ格納セクションを通して送り格納する工程と、を含む、方法。 - 請求項23の方法が、更に、
前記第1のドロップロケーションで前記建物の個々の住戸にアクセスする工程において、前記第1のドロップロケーションで廊下の壁に貫通穴を開ける、アクセスする工程と、
前記貫通穴のロケーションを通して前記個々の住戸にドロップケーブルを供給する工程と、
前記ドロップケーブルを前記アクセスされたファイバに通信線カップリングを介して接続する工程と、を含む、請求項23に記載の方法。 - 前記ダクトが、建物の廊下の壁に、住戸の入り口の上の予め選択された高さに接着剤で取り付けられる、請求項23に記載の方法。
