- 膨張可能な環状修繕装置であって、椎間板空間を取り巻く環状線維質に位置する、環状欠損を修繕するのに用いられ、環状欠損は、内側環状壁と外側環状壁との間に延在する側面を有し、この装置が、

- 1又は複数の展開可能な二次固定部材は、1又は複数のアームの形態であることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の膨張可能な環状修繕装置。
- 膨張可能な環状修繕装置における内部椎間板領域は、高い従順性の材料から製造され、膨張可能な環状修繕装置における外部椎間板領域は、低い従順性の材料から製造されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の膨張可能な環状修繕装置。
- 膨張可能な環状修繕装置における内部椎間板領域は、低い従順性の材料から製造され、膨張可能な環状修繕装置における外部椎間板領域は、高い従順性の材料から製造されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の膨張可能な環状修繕装置。
- 装置がさらに、内部椎間板領域に形成された膨張可能な突起部を備え、内部椎間板のキャビティの少なくとも一部分が充填されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の膨張可能な環状修繕装置。
- 装置がさらに、1又は複数の縫合を、内部椎間板領域から外部椎間板領域へ延在させていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の膨張可能な環状修繕装置。
- 1又は複数の縫合は、中央本体を通り抜けていることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の膨張可能な環状修繕装置。
- 1又は複数の縫合は、環状線維を通り抜けていることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の膨張可能な環状修繕装置。
- 椎間板空間を取り巻く環状線維に位置する環状欠損を修繕するための方法であって、この方法には膨張可能な環状修繕装置が使用され、該装置は、外面と、拡張状態における第1の直径とを有する中央本体、第1の椎間板壁面と、拡張状態における第2の直径とを有する内部椎間板領域、及び、第2の椎間板壁面と、拡張状態における第3の直径とを有する外部椎間板領域を備え、環状欠損は内側環状壁と外側環状壁との間に延在する側面を有し、この方法が、
a) 切開を形成する段階と、
b) 切開の中にカニューレを挿入する段階であって、カニューレの遠位端が、環状欠損に隣接して位置決めされる、上記段階と、
c) 膨張可能な環状修繕装置を第1の非拡張状態にて、カニューレ及び環状欠損の少なくとも一部分に通して挿入する段階であって、内部椎間板領域が環状欠損を延通し、椎間板空間の中に入る、上記段階と、
d) 膨張可能な環状修繕装置の中に充填材料を注入する段階であって、外面は側面に接触し、第1の椎間板壁は内側環状壁に接触し、第2の椎間板壁は外側環状壁に接触し、環状欠損を密封し、移植位置における欠損に隣接した環の捕捉部分に圧縮力を適用する、上記段階と、
を備えていることを特徴とする方法。 - 方法がさらに、内部椎間板領域の第2の直径を、中央本体の第1の直径に比べて大きくなるように拡張させる段階を具備していることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 方法がさらに、外部椎間板領域の第3の直径を、中央本体の第1の直径に比べて大きくなるように拡張させる段階を具備していることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 方法がさらに、段階(c)の前に、椎間板空間に椎間板切除術を実行する段階を備えていることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記方法がさらに、
e)1又は複数の展開可能な二次固定部材を膨張させる段階、
を備えていることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。 - 前記方法がさらに、
e)室温下における流体から、体温下における弾性体へと、充填材料を固化させる段階、
を備えていることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。 - 充填材料は、サーモゲル又は相転換ポリマーであることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記方法がさらに、
e)欠損を越えて突出している膨張可能な環状修繕装置におけるあらゆる余分な長さを切断する段階であって、膨張可能な環状修繕装置が外側環状壁に対して略面一又は窪むようにする、上記段階、
を備えていることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
