Abstract
Description
結合溶液は、結合剤100mlをHeucophos ZPAと混合することによって調製した。この結合溶液に関して得られたpHは、3.1であった。
コーティング組成物は、結合溶液100mlを、アルミニウム粉体(5μm)70gと混合することによって調製した。
1.混合コーティングの、室温でのポットライフ/安定性。
2.酸化腐食耐性。1種のコーティング、0.8〜1.0ミルの厚さ(20〜25μm)のものを備えた3×4インチのパネルを、工業規格の酸化腐食試験に従い評価した。パネルをビーズ研磨し、700°F(371℃)で23時間熱処理し、次いで1075°F(579℃)で4時間熱処理し、スクライブし、ASTM B117により5%塩噴霧中に400時間置いた。
3.熱サイクル塩噴霧。2種のコーティング、2回硬化し1.5ミル(38μm)の厚さのものを有する4×4インチのパネルを、10回の熱/塩噴霧サイクルに供したものについて評価したが、このとき、1サイクルは、850°F(454℃)で7.5時間及び5%塩噴霧中に15.5時間であった。コーティングしたパネルをグリット研磨し、スクライブした後に、試験を行った。
1010軟鋼パネルを、0.030インチ(0.75mm)の厚さのシート素材に切断し、固有のIDコードを有する各パネルに打ち抜くことによって作製した。これらのパネルを650°F(343℃)で熱的に脱脂し、次いで100メッシュのアルミナグリットを用い、60psiでグリットブラストした。650°F(343℃)で1時間処理することからなる酸化ステップを、コーティング付着の前に行った。
ポットライフ/安定性
表Iは、各コーティングに関してポットライフ/安定性を観察した結果を示す。比較例3は、非常に短いポットライフを有しており、基材と反応した兆候を示した。これは、浸出性腐食防止剤が存在しない場合、安定性に悪影響があることを実証している。
本発明の教示により全てが形成されている、例1から9によりコーティングされたパネルは、スクライブ及びこの分野(スクライブから離れたコーティング領域)における最小犠牲(白色)腐食製品で赤錆を示さなかった。腐食防止剤なしで配合された比較例3のコーティングは、例1から9のコーティングよりも、スクライブ及びこの分野のかなり著しい犠牲腐食で赤錆を示した。この挙動は、浸出性腐食防止剤が、硬化したコーティングの耐腐食性並びに上記にて論じた混合コーティングのポットライフを改善することを実証している。著しい赤錆は、比較例2でコーティングされたパネルのスクライブで観察され、浸出性腐食防止剤の腐食利益が、コーティング中のその他のイオン、例えばマンガン酸塩及び硫酸塩によって失われ得ることを実証している。
比較例2のパネルは、この分野及びスクライブにおいて、試験に突入して早くも4サイクルで赤錆を示した。5サイクル後、このコーティングは、特にパネルの離面で大きく層剥離し始めた。その他全ての試験片は、スクライブ中にいくらかの赤錆を有したが、上記分野には錆はなく、犠牲挙動(変色及び白色腐食製品)のいくらかの兆候を示した。例4のパネルは、その他のパネルよりも、スクライブ及び上縁で多くの腐食があった。例1、2、3、5、6、7、8と比較例1、3、及び4のコーティングは、この試験で同様の性能を有すると判断された。
Claims (23)
- リン酸、マグネシウムイオン源、及び浸出性腐食防止剤から本質的になり、約2から約4.5のpHを有する水性結合溶液。
- ホウ酸イオン源をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の結合溶液。
- 前記ホウ酸イオン源が、酸化ホウ素及びホウ酸からなる群から選択される、請求項2に記載の結合溶液。
- 前記マグネシウムイオン源が、酸化マグネシウム、炭酸マグネシウム、及びこれらの組合せからなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の結合溶液。
- 前記浸出性腐食防止剤が、オルトリン酸アルミニウム亜鉛、トリポリリン酸アルミニウム亜鉛、トリポリリン酸アルミニウム、ポリリン酸アルミニウム亜鉛、ポリリン酸アルミニウムストロンチウム、変性ポリリン酸アルミニウムストロンチウム、変性ポリリン酸カルシウム亜鉛、リン酸モリブデン酸亜鉛、及びこれらの組合せからなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の結合溶液。
- クロム酸、モリブデン酸、及びバナジウムイオンを実質的に含まない、請求項1に記載の結合溶液。
- 約2.5から約3.5のpHを有する、請求項1に記載の結合溶液。
- 請求項1に記載の結合溶液及び金属粒子を含む、水性リン酸コーティング組成物。
- 少なくとも1時間、金属粒子との反応に対して安定である、請求項8に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 少なくとも4時間安定である、請求項9に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記金属粒子が、アルミニウム粉体、アルミニウムフレーク、又はこれらの組合せを含む、請求項8に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 請求項8に記載のコーティング組成物を部品の表面に付着させるステップと、前記部品を熱に曝してコーティングを硬化するステップとを含む、鉄類合金表面を有する部品をコーティングする方法。
- 請求項8に記載の硬化済みコーティング組成物でコーティングされた金属表面を有する、コーティングされた部品。
- 保護トップコートをさらに含む、請求項13に記載のコーティングされた部品。
