1)例えば、給餌効率を高めるため及びケトーシスプロセスの出現を避けるために、高濃度の(穀草類)規定食を給餌されている反すう動物、特に反すう動物が、a)集中システム下の肥育動物である場合;b)濃度供給が高い割合に達する際、乳の分泌のピークにおいて高い生産性の泌乳メスである場合;又はc)摂取能力が制限されている、複数頭の仔を有する出産間近のヒツジ又はヤギである場合、
2)突然の規定食の変化を受けやすい反すう動物、特に変化が、a)牧草(高い食物繊維)から高濃度の食料である場合;又はb)低可消化デンプン(モロコシ又はトウモロコシ)から高い消化率のもの(小麦又は大麦)である場合。
子牛における100及び300ppmの用量の混合物の効果
Theodorou M Kら、Animal Feed Science and Technology、48(3)、185〜197頁、Aug 1994年によって提案されたプロトコルに基づいて、発酵動態を分析した。使用した接種材料は、商業的な集中肥育作業からの子牛の第一胃液であった。本発明の混合物(20重量%のナリンギン、40重量%のダイダイ抽出物及び40重量%の海泡石)を接種材料及び通常の割合(濃縮物:藁が80:20)で穀草類の藁で補足された商業的子牛食餌(600mg)でインキュベートした。混合物の用量を、800mlの接種材料希釈物を有する密封したボトルに2つのバッチ(子牛2頭)で3回インキュベートした。
1−ガス生成
先に記載したインビトロ条件において、培地中の混合物の含有物は、VFA産生又は全VFA産生のいずれの動態にも効果がなかった。実験的処置が、酢酸60%、プロピオン酸29%及び酪酸9%の平均割合を示した、最も重要なVFAのモル割合に影響を与えることもなかった。
表1は、分光光度法(260nm)によって得られた全DNA濃度を示し、培養培地中のDNA濃度が混合物の内容物によっていかに変化しなかったかが分かり得る。しかし、より特殊な手順であるリアルタイムPCRによって細菌性DNAの量を測定すると、混合物の内容物が、細菌性DNAの有意な増加をもたらし、細菌の成長の増加を示すことを明らかにした。混合物の存在由来の微生物の成長における有意な差異の存在は、前記差異がガス(CO2+NH3)生成又はより多いVFA放出において見い出されずに、混合物が、微生物の合成効率にプラス効果をもたらすことを示す。
商業的な集中肥育状態で投与される濃飼料から接種材料で研究混合物を補足すると、第一胃発酵プロセスに有意な変化が生じる。
Claims (15)
- 反すう動物の第一胃発酵の改善において、10重量%から25重量%のナリンギン、10重量%から65重量%のダイダイ抽出物及び100重量%までの十分な量の海泡石を含む混合物の使用。
- 混合物が、15重量%から25重量%のナリンギン、20重量%から60重量%のダイダイ抽出物及び100重量%までの十分な量の海泡石を含む、請求項1に記載の使用。
- 混合物が、20重量%のナリンギン、40重量%のダイダイ抽出物及び40重量%の海泡石を含む、請求項2に記載の使用。
- ダイダイ抽出物が、31.5から71.5重量%の全フラボノイドを含む、請求項1から3までのいずれか一項に記載の使用。
- ダイダイ抽出物が、44から55重量%の全フラボノイドを含む、請求項1から3までのいずれか一項に記載の使用。
- 全フラボノイドが、(a)17.5から35.1重量%のナリンギン、(b)7.7から16.9重量%のネオヘスペリジン及び(c)2.1から6.5重量%のポンシリンを含む、請求項4又は5に記載の使用。
- 全フラボノイドが(a)25から27重量%のナリンギン、(b)11から13重量%のネオヘスペリジン及び(c)3から5重量%のポンシリンを含む、請求項4又は5に記載の使用。
- 前記改善が、濃飼料を投与される反すう動物における微生物発酵プロセスを調節する、請求項1から7までのいずれか一項に記載の使用。
- 前記改善が、第一胃アシドーシスを引き起こす細菌の成長を制限することを含む、請求項1から7までのいずれか一項に記載の使用。
- 第一胃アシドーシスを引き起こす細菌が、ウシレンサ球菌(Streptococcus bovis)である、請求項9に記載の使用。
- 前記改善が、反すう動物の集中肥育における生産力を最適化する、請求項1から7までのいずれか一項に記載の使用。
- 反すう動物が子牛である、請求項11に記載の使用。
- 10から2000ppmの重量濃度で固体形態で給餌するために前記混合物を添加することを含む、請求項1から8までのいずれか一項に記載の使用。
- 50から1000ppmの重量濃度で固体形態で給餌するために前記混合物を添加することを含む、請求項1から8までのいずれか一項に記載の使用。
- 100から300ppmの重量濃度で固体形態で給餌するために前記混合物を添加することを含む、請求項1から8までのいずれか一項に記載の使用。
