Abstract
【解決手段】ダウンドロー法によってガラスフィルム2を成形すると共に、その成形したガラスフィルム2を保護シート3に重ねてロール状に巻き取るガラスロール1の製造方法であって、前記保護シート3に、前記ガラスフィルム2よりも大きな巻き取り方向の張力を付与しながら、前記ガラスフィルム2と前記保護シート3とを巻き取ることでガラスロール1を製造する。

Claims (8)
- ダウンドロー法によってガラスフィルムを成形すると共に、その成形したガラスフィルムを保護シートに重ねてロール状に巻き取るガラスロールの製造方法であって、
前記保護シートに、前記ガラスフィルムよりも大きな巻き取り方向の張力を付与しながら、前記ガラスフィルムと前記保護シートとを巻き取ることを特徴とするガラスロールの製造方法。 - ロール状にガラスフィルムを巻き取るまでの段階で、前記ガラスフィルムの幅方向両端部に形成される耳部をレーザー切断することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のガラスロールの製造方法。
- 前記保護シートが最外層にある状態に維持されるように、前記ガラスフィルムの外周側に前記保護シートを重ねながら、前記ガラスフィルムと前記保護シートとを巻き取ることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のガラスロールの製造方法。
- 前記ダウンドロー法が、オーバーフローダウンドロー法である請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のガラスロールの製造方法。
- ダウンドロー法によって成形されたガラスフィルムを、保護シートに重ねてロール状に巻き取ったガラスロールであって、
前記保護シートは、前記ガラスロールよりも大きな巻き取り方向の張力が付与されていることを特徴とするガラスロール。 - 前記ガラスフィルムの厚みが、1μm以上200μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のガラスロール。
- 前記ガラスフィルムの幅方向の両端面の算術平均粗さRaが、0.1μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項5又は6に記載のガラスロール。
- 前記保護シートが、前記ガラスフィルムの幅方向両側から食み出していることを特徴とする請求項5〜7のいずれかに記載のガラスロール。
