Abstract
【解決手段】 複数の基地局と少なくとも1つの移動局を含む無線通信システムにおける移動局は、前記基地局から通知されたDRX cycleの異なる2つのDRX設定のうち、DRX cycleが短いDRX設定を使用中に、予め定められた期間データ受信を行わない場合、DRX cycleが長いDRX設定の使用を開始する。

Description
本発明は、無線通信システムに関し、特に、ソース基地局からターゲット基地局への基地局間ハンドオーバーを行う無線通信システムの移動局と通信制御方法に関する。
2. AS configuration (RLC(Radio Link Control) Window Sizeなど)
現在、LTEの基地局間HO制御とDRX制御をいかに組み合わせるかに関して検討がはじまったばかりである。このため、その制御の組み合わせ等において、移動局等の省電力化の向上等に関する具体的な方策等の検討はなされていないというのが実情である。
現在(HO要求が生じた時点)のDRX(Discontinuous Reception)レベル、
現在のDRXレベルに滞在した時間、
ソース基地局が管理している間の平均DRXレベル、
ソース基地局が管理している間の最大DRXレベル、
ソース基地局が管理している間の最小DRXレベル、
HO準備期間の送信バッファサイズ、及び、
ソース基地局にスケジューリングされた時間/ソース基地局で、RRC_Connectedの状態にいた時間、
のうち少なくとも1つを含む。
・移動局が、ソース基地局にメジャメントレポート(Measurement Report)を送信し、
・ソース基地局が、メジャメントレポートをみて、どの基地局をターゲット基地局候補とするかを決定し、ソースとターゲットの基地局間でハンドオーバーの可否の情報交換を行う、
という一連の動作が行われるHO準備期間における、移動局のDRX制御について検討してみる。
DRXレベルが、
100%のときを「Active」、
20%のときを、「DRX」
と呼ぶことにする。なお、図12において、DRXレベルが0%の状態のアイドル(Idle)は、RRC_Idle(LTE_Idle)状態である。
各セルに滞在する時間は、12km/2km=6分(図12のX+Y=6分)であり、
HO回数は4回
であるため、
30分間では、5(=4+1)セルにまたがり、各セルにおいて、5(=6−1)分間ずつ、DRXに滞在する(すなわち、図12において、X=1分、Y=5分)。

UPE(User Plane Entity)から到着したパケット量;
ターゲット基地局(102)の持つ内部的な情報;
のうち、少なくとも、ドーマンシ・コンテキスト(Dormancy Context)を用いて、移動局(101)のDRX制御を行い、適切なDRX動作に移す信号(Early DRX Control Signaling)を送信する。
(A)現在のDRXレベル;
(B)現在のDRXレベルに滞在した時間;
(C)ソースセルでの平均DRXレベル;
(D)ソースセルでの最大DRXレベル;
(E)ソースセルでの最小DRXレベル;
(F)HO準備期間の送信バッファサイズ;
(G)ソースセルでスケジューリングされた時間/ソースセルでRRC_Connectedにいた時間;
等を用いることができる。
図6、図7は、本発明の第1の実施例を説明するための図である。第1の実施例として、ドーマンシ・コンテキスト(DORMANCY CONTEXT)として、現在のDRXサイクルを用いて、以下の式(12)(上式(1)と同じ)によりターゲットセルにおけるHO完了期間における移動局のDRXレベルを決定する場合の例を示す。
100%のときを「Active」、
60%のときを「Short DRX」、
20%のときを「Long DRX」、
0%のときを「Idle」
と呼ぶ。なお、前述したように、DRXレベルが100%以下、例えば90%のときを「Active」と定義してもよい。例えば「Short DRX」による制御では、DRXサイクルにおける非受信期間の割合が、「Long DRX」の非受信期間の割合よりも短く設定される。
図8、図9は本発明の第2の実施例を説明するための図である。本発明の第2の実施例として、ドーマンシ・コンテキスト(DORMANCY CONTEXT)に現在のDRXレベルLOLDと現在のDRXレベルに滞在した時間Tを用いて、式(13)、(14)(上式(2)、(3)と同一)により、ターゲットセルにおけるHO完了期間における移動局のDRXレベルを決定する場合の例を示す。
100%のときを「Active」、

0%のときを「Idle」

・基地局がLNEWを決定し、移動局へLNEWを通知する方法と、
・基地局が移動局へ、DL、TU、TDを通知し、基地局と移動局のそれぞれでLNEWを決定する方法
のいずれを用いてもよい。

Claims (2)
- 複数の基地局と少なくとも1つの移動局を含む無線通信システムにおける移動局であって、
前記基地局から通知されたDRX cycleの異なる2つのDRX設定のうち、DRX cycleが短いDRX設定を使用中に、予め定められた期間データ受信を行わない場合、DRX cycleが長いDRX設定の使用を開始する移動局。 - 複数の基地局と少なくとも1つの移動局を含む無線通信システムの移動局における通信制御方法であって、
前記基地局から通知されたDRX cycleの異なる2つのDRX設定のうち、DRX cycleが短いDRX設定を使用中に、予め定められた期間データ受信を行わない場合、DRX cycleが長いDRX設定の使用を開始する通信制御方法。
