Abstract
Description
以下において、本発明がDVDのような光学記録媒体を参照して説明され、かかる媒体は、波長略650nmを用いて読まれる。もちろん、本発明の概括的な概念は他のタイプの光学記録媒体にも適用され得る。
1.屈折率n=1.6を有するプラスチック基板
2.n=2.3を有する50nm厚のZnS−SiO2誘電体層
3.n=4.6+i*4.2を有する30nm厚のGeSbTe記録層
4.n=2.3を有する50nm厚のZnS−SiO2誘電体層
5.n=0.5+i*3.81を有する200nm厚のアルミニウム反射層
Claims (15)
- ランド及びグルーブからなる構造を有する記録層を備え、
前記構造は、記録されたマークが無い前記記録層の領域において強いプッシュプル信号を発生し、かつ記録されたマークが有る前記記録層の領域において小さいプッシュプル信号を発生し、
前記記録されたマークは、前記ランド及び前記グルーブからなる構造によって発生されたプッシュプル信号とは位相がずれた付加的なプッシュプル信号を発生することを特徴とする光記録媒体。 - 前記強いプッシュプル信号の正規化された絶対値が0.2より高く、前記小さいプッシュプル信号の正規化された絶対値が0.1よりも低いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光学記録媒体。
- 前記記録されたマークによって発生された付加的なプッシュプル信号は、前記ランド及び前記グルーブからなる構造によって発生されたプッシュプル信号と180±20度の位相のずれがあることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の光学記録媒体。
- 前記ランド及び前記グルーブは、同一幅を有することを特徴とする請求項1,2又は3に記載の光学記録媒体。
- 前記マークが前記ランドに記録される場合に、前記マークの幅は前記グルーブの幅の80%乃至100%内であり、前記マークが前記グルーブに記録される場合に、前記マークの幅は前記ランドの幅の80%乃至100%内であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の光学記録媒体。
- 前記グルーブの幅は前記ランドの幅とは異なり、前記グルーブの幅が前記ランドの幅より小さい場合に、前記マークの幅は前記グルーブの幅の80%乃至120%内であり、前記ランドの幅が前記グルーブの幅より小さい場合に、前記マークの幅は前記ランドの幅の80%乃至120%内であることを特徴とする請求項1,2又は3に記載の光学記録媒体。
- 前記マークと前記マーク間のスペースとによって導入される平均位相シフト量は、前記マークがランドに記録される場合には、前記ランドを基準として前記グルーブによって導入される位相シフト量とほぼ同等であり、前記マークがグルーブに記録される場合には、前記グルーブを基準として前記ランドによって導入される位相シフト量とほぼ同等であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載の光学記録媒体。
- 前記マークによって導入される位相シフト量は、前記マークがランドに記録される場合には、前記ランドを基準として前記グルーブによって導入される位相シフト量の1.5倍乃至2倍の間にあり、前記マークがグルーブに記録される場合には、前記グルーブを基準として前記ランドによって導入される位相シフト量の1.5倍乃至2倍の間にあることを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載の光学記録媒体。
- 前記記録層は、相変化層又は無機記録層であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8のいずれかに記載の光学記録媒体。
- 前記記録層は、GeSbTe層又はCu/Si二分子層であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の光学記録媒体。
- 前記強いプッシュプル信号は第1の波長で得られ、前記小さいプッシュプル信号は第2の波長で得られることを特徴とする請求項1乃至10のいずれかに記載の光学記録媒体。
- 前記第1の波長は略405nmであり、前記第2の波長は略650nmであることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の光学記録媒体。
- ランド及びグルーブからなる構造を有する記録層を備えた光記録媒体であって、
前記ランドと前記グルーブとの間の相対的な位相シフト量が、前記記録層に記録された、前記マーク及びスペースとからなるシーケンスから生じる位相シフト量とほぼ同等であることを特徴とする光記録媒体。 - 請求項1乃至13のいずれかに記載の光記録媒体に記録する記録方法であって、前記記録層の非記録領域内にマークを書くことによって、前記光学記録媒体をファイナライズ処理するステップを含むことを特徴とする記録方法。
- 請求項1乃至13のいずれかに記載の光記録媒体に書込みを行う書き込み装置であって、前記記録層の非記録領域内にマークを書くことによって、前記光学記録媒体をファイナライズ処理するように構成されたことを特徴とする書き込み装置。
