Description
平均細孔径5μm、外径10mm、内径7mm、長さ40mmのアルミナ多孔質の基材の外表面に、細孔径1μmのアルミナ質の厚さ100μmの多孔質層である第一多孔質膜、細孔径0.1μmのアルミナ質の厚さ20μmの多孔質層である第二多孔質膜を形成して支持体(多孔質基材)とした。
ポリイミドの前駆体であるポリアミド酸(三井化学(株)製、AURUM(商品名))を、N,N−ジメチルアセトアミドで希釈し、ポリアミド酸含有量が1質量%であるポリアミド酸溶液(I)を得た。前述の(1)の支持体を一定速度でポリアミド酸溶液(I)に吊り下げて浸漬後、再び一定速度で引きあげてポリアミド酸を塗付し、大気雰囲気下にて、90℃で30分間、300℃で1時間の熱処理を行ない、窒素雰囲気700−800℃で6時間熱処理して、無機分離膜の支持体としての炭素質膜を得た。炭素質膜の膜厚は0.6μmであった。
前述の(2)の炭素質膜の支持体上に、種々の無機分離膜(分離層)を形成した後、再生可能か否かを確認するため、大気雰囲気中、500−1000℃で熱処理して炭素質膜と無機分離膜を除去した後、再度、炭素質膜を形成し、その上に無機分離膜を形成した。再生前後の膜(分離層)性能で再生可能か否かを評価した。

比較例1は、前述の(1)の支持体に、前述の(2)の方法で炭素質膜を形成した。比較例2は、比較例1において、ポリアミド酸溶液の濃度を10質量%にして厚膜にした。すなわち比較例1〜2は、分離層が炭素質膜である。比較例3は、支持体に、テトラエトキシオルトシラン(TEOS)を加水分解して得られたシリカゾルを5回成膜して得た。尚、焼成温度は窒素雰囲気中で400℃とした。比較例4は、成膜回数を15回とした。すなわち、比較例3〜4は、分離層がシリカ膜である。実施例2は、比較例1の炭素質膜を支持体とし、その上に比較例3,4と同じシリカゾルを3回成膜し、窒素雰囲気中で400℃で焼成した。実施例2は、炭素質膜上にシリカ膜が形成されている。
分離層の水/エタノール分離性能(分離係数(α)と水透過速度(Flux))の評価は、エタノールと水が90:10質量比で混合された混合液の浸透気化装置により行った。分離層を水/エタノール混合液からなる供給液を入れたビーカーに浸し固定した。混合液の供給側圧力を大気圧、透過側圧力を真空ポンプにて0.01Torrとした。評価開始から所定時間が経過した後、透過側に備えられた冷却トラップに析出した透過液からなる固体を溶かし、その質量から水透過速度(Flux[kg/h・m2])を求めた。また、透過液をTCDガスクロマトグラフに導入し、透過液の濃度を求めた。
分離層の分離性能の指標として、下記数式(3)で表される水/エタノール分離係数α(水/エタノール)、及び、下記数式(4)で表される水透過速度(Flux[kg/h・m2])を用いた。なお、分離係数αとは、供給側液組成比に対する透過側液組成比の比と定義される。下記数式(3)中、Perm(水)、Perm(エタノール)は、各々、膜を透過した水、エタノールの体積濃度[vol%]である。また、Feed(水)、Feed(エタノール)は、各々、供給液の水、エタノールの体積濃度[vol%]である。

Claims (5)
- セラミック多孔質体からなる多孔質基材と、
該多孔質基材上に形成された炭素質膜と、
該炭素質膜上に形成された無機分離膜と、を含むセラミックフィルタ。 - 前記無機分離膜は、シリカ膜、チタニア膜、ジルコニア膜、及びゼオライト膜のいずれかである請求項1に記載のセラミックフィルタ。
- 前記無機分離膜は、シリカ膜である請求項1に記載の脱水用セラミックフィルタ。
- 前記炭素質膜の膜厚は、0.1〜2μmである請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のセラミックフィルタ。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のセラミックフィルタを熱処理することにより、前記多孔質基材上の前記炭素質膜及び前記無機分離膜を除去し、その後、前記多孔質基材上に新たに炭素質膜、該炭素質膜上に無機分離膜を形成するセラミックフィルタの再生方法。
