Claims (17)
- 光に対する透過率及び反射率が電気的に制御される能動型半透過素子と、
前記能動型半透過素子によって反射及び/または透過された光を変調して画像を形成するディスプレイパネルとを含むディスプレイ装置。 - 前記能動型半透過素子は、前記能動型半透過素子に電圧が印加されていないときに、光を反射させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記能動型半透過素子は、前記能動型半透過素子に第1電圧が印加されるとき、光を透過させることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記能動型半透過素子は、前記能動型半透過素子に第2電圧が印加されるとき、光を透過及び反射させることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記ディスプレイパネルは、液晶層の透過率を調節して光を変調することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記液晶層は、高分子分散型液晶にブラック染料を混合してなることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記ディスプレイパネルは、帯電粒子の電気泳動を利用して光を変調することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記ディスプレイパネルは、電気湿潤物質を利用して光を変調することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記ディスプレイパネルは、電気変色素子を利用して光を変調することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記能動型半透過素子は、高分子分散型液晶からなることを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記能動型半透過素子は、前記高分子分散型液晶にナノ構造物質を挿入して形成されたことを特徴とする請求項10に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記ナノ構造物質は白色紙を含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記ナノ構造物質は、散乱性物質に複数のナノ気孔が形成されることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記散乱性物質は、Al2O3またはBaSO4であることを特徴とする請求項13に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記ナノ構造物質は、チューブ型またはワイヤ形態のナノ粒子であることを特徴とする請求項11のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記ナノ粒子は、TiO2、ZnO、BaTiO3、PbTiO3、Pb(Zr,Ti)O3、Al2O3、SiO2、BaO、SrTiO3、ZnS、BaSO4のうち選択されたいずれか一つからなることを特徴とする請求項15に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- バックライトユニットをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜16のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイ装置。
