Abstract
【解決手段】織物柔軟剤成分と担体成分を融解混合することによって、90℃超に融点を示す織物柔軟材組成物を提供する。織物柔軟剤成分:担体成分の重量比は、約1:19〜約19:1でありうる。織物柔軟剤組成物を製造するための方法及び当該織物柔軟剤成分を使用し、洗濯物が乾燥機中に供されている間に織物を軟化せしめる。

乾燥機中で使用するため並びに静電気防止及び柔軟化特性を供する17の織物柔軟剤組成物を表1に示している。組成物を100℃超に融点を示す固体として提供している。
表1における組成物17は、黄ばみをつけることはないと考えられる織物柔軟剤成分を使用する。この織物柔軟剤成分は、商用名Varisoft 110〜75%として入手可能であり、そして75%のメチルビス(水素化タローアミドエチル)−2−ヒドロキシエチルアンモニウムメチルスルフェート、及び25%のイソプロパノールを含む。織物柔軟剤組成物17を溶融混合及び投じる間、イソプロパノールの全てではないが、大部分が流される。20サイクル試験を組成物17で繰り返した。15ポンドの乾燥テリータオルをこの試験で使用し、そしてWI及びYI読み込みを20サイクルの前後で行った。この処方物の平均の重量減少は、0.976g/サイクルであった。この計算では、1サイクルあたりおよそ54.5ppmの活性織物柔軟剤成分である。
更なる織物柔軟剤組成物を表6にて同定している。組成物23は、商用名Varisoft DS-110の下で入手可能であり、そして70%のメチルビス(水素化タローアミドエチル)−2−ヒドロキシエチルアンモニウムメチルスルフェート、及び30%のアルコールエトキシレートを含む黄ばみをつけない織物柔軟剤成分を含む。この織物柔軟化第四アンモニウム化合物を、アルコールエトキシレートの媒質中で製造した。
以下の実験を、本発明の織物柔軟剤組成物の静電気防止特性を評価するために行った。静電気防止特性を、Keithley Instrumentの電気メーターモデル610Cを使用しカラム単位における電気的補充を測定ことによって測定した。電気的補充を、31ガロンのサイズを有する第二シリンダーとその内に備えられている20ガロンのサイズを有する第一シリンダー間で測定した。テリー地のタオルを乾燥機から取り出して同時に20ガロンシリンダー内に置き、そして2つのシリンダー間での電気的補充を測定した。
本発明の他の組成物を、同じ活性非黄ばみ織物柔軟剤第四アンモニウム成分をアルコールエトキシレートに代わりステアリルアルコールの媒質中で製造したこと以外、組成物23と同じ組成によって表している。この組成物には組成物23に類似する、望ましい(高)融解温度、分配及び柔軟化特性を供した。
本発明の他の第四アンモニウム組成物を、同じ活性非黄ばみ織物柔軟剤第四アンモニウム成分をアルコールエトキシレートに代わりベヘニルアルコールの媒質中で製造したこと以外、組成物23と同じ組成によって表している。この組成物にも組成物23に類似する、望ましい(高)融解温度、分散、及び柔軟化特性を供した。
Claims (53)
- 織物柔軟剤組成物であって:
(a)織物柔軟剤成分;と
(b)担体成分、
の融解混合の結果物を含んで成り、
当該織物柔軟剤成分:当該担体成分の重量比が、約1:19〜19:1であり、そして当該織物柔軟剤組成物は90℃より上に融点を示す、織物柔軟剤組成物。 - 前記織物柔軟剤成分が、第四アンモニウム化合物を少なくとも1つ含んで成る、請求項1に記載の織物柔軟剤組成物。
- 前記織物柔軟剤成分が第四アンモニウム化合物を少なくとも1つ含んで成り、それはアルキル化された第四アンモニウム化合物、環式(ring)又は環状(cyclic)第四アンモニウム化合物、芳香族第四アンモニウム化合物、ジ第四(diquanternary)アンモニウム化合物、アルコキシル化された第四アンモニウム化合物、アミドアミン第四アンモニウム化合物、エステル第四アンモニウム化合物、及びそれらの混合物のうち少なくとも1つから選択される請求項1に記載の織物柔軟剤組成物。

- 前記織物柔軟剤成分がN−タローペンタメチルプロパンジアンモニウムジクロリドを含んで成る、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記織物柔軟剤成分が、メチルジアルコキシアルキル第四アンモニウム化合物、トリアルコキシアルキル第四アンモニウム化合物、トリアルコキシメチル第四アンモニウム化合物、ジメチルアルコキシアルキル第四アンモニウム化合物、及びトリメチルアルコキシ第四アンモニウム化合物のうち少なくとも1つを含んで成り、ここで、当該アルキル基は、約6〜約24個の炭素原子を含み、そして当該アルコキシ基は、約1〜約50の繰り返し単位を含み、そして各繰り返しアルコキシ基は約2〜約3個の炭素原子を含む、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記織物柔軟剤成分が、ジアミドアミン第四アンモニウム化合物を含んで成る、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記織物柔軟剤成分が、メチル−ビス(タローアミドエチル)ヒドロキシアンモニウムメチルスルフェート、メチルビス(オレイルアミドエチル)−2−ヒドロキシエチルアンモニウムメトールスルフェート、及びメチルビス(水素化タローアミドエチル)−2−ヒドロキシエチルアンモニウムメチルスルフェートのうち少なくとも1つを含んで成る、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記担体成分が、エチレンビスアミド、第一アルキルアミド、アルカノールアミド、ポリアミド、炭素原子を12個以上含むアルコール、炭素原子を12個以上含むアルコキシル化されたアルコール、炭素原子を約12個以上含むカルボン酸、それらの誘導体、及びそれらの混合物を含んで成る、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記担体成分が、エチレンビスステアラミド、エチレンビスオレアミド、及びエチレンビスベヘンアミドのうち少なくとも1つを含んで成る、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記担体成分がステアリルアルコール及びベヘニルアルコールのうち少なくとも1つを含んで成る、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記織物柔軟剤成分:担体成分の重量比が約1:10〜約10:1である、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記織物柔軟剤成分:担体成分の重量比が約3:7〜約9:1である、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物が更に可塑剤及び香料のうち少なくとも1つを含んで成る、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記融解混合する段階が、100℃以上の温度で混合することを含んで成る、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記融解混合する段階が、約120℃〜約170℃の範囲の温度で混合することを含んで成る、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 更に:
(a)織物柔軟剤組成物を約5g以上のサイズを有する形状に成形する、
段階を更に含んで成る、請求項24に記載の方法。 - 前記形状が塊(block)及び細長い形状(strip)のうちの1つである、請求項48に記載の方法。
- 織物柔軟剤組成物を使用するための方法であって、当該方法は:
(a)織物柔軟剤組成物を乾燥機内部の壁に接着せしめ、ここで当該織物柔軟剤組成物は、織物柔軟剤成分と担体成分を、当該織物柔軟剤成分:当該担体成分の重量比で約1:19〜約19:1の比において混合せしめ、融点を90℃より上で示す織物柔軟剤組成物を提供する融解混合の結果物を含んで成り;そして
(b)洗濯物を当該乾燥機中、当該織物柔軟剤組成物の存在下で乾燥する、
段階を含んで成る方法。 - 前記織物柔軟剤組成物が各乾燥サイクルに渡り1ポンドの洗濯物あたり約0.01g〜約1.0gを失う、請求項50に記載の方法。
- 前記乾燥機が回転式乾燥機を含んで成る、請求項50に記載の方法。
- 前記織物柔軟剤組成物が約5g以上のサイズを有する、請求項50に記載の方法。
