Abstract
構造が改良された上密封部を有する二次バッテリー
カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造を有する電極アセンブリーを小袋形バッテリーケース中に取り付け、前記電極アセンブリーをバッテリーケースに熱的に溶接することにより製造される二次バッテリーであって、一対の絶縁性フィルムを、各電極リード線の、前記電極アセンブリーの電極タップが電気的に接続されている対向する主要表面に、前記小袋形バッテリーケースの上側の熱的に溶接された部分(上側密封部分)と接触する区域で取り付け、前記絶縁性フィルム(a)及び(b)の一方、即ち前記絶縁性フィルム(a)、が、前記絶縁性フィルム(a)の下側末端が、前記電極タップが前記電極リード線に連結されている連結区域を支持するように伸びており、前記絶縁性フィルム(a、b)間の重なり合っている長さ(L)が、前記上側密封部分の高さ(H)と等しいか、またはそれより僅かに大きい、二次バッテリーを開示する。本発明の二次バッテリーには、外部の力、例えば小さな振動及び落下、が二次バッテリーに加えられた時に、電極アセンブリーの移動による電極リード線の破断を阻止することができ、好ましくは、PCMを二次バッテリーに取り付けられるように電極リード線を容易に曲げることができるという効果がある。
Description
電極アセンブリーの電極タップを、電極リード線に溶接により接続し、絶縁性フィルム(ポリプロピレン製)を各電極リード線の対向する主要表面に、図4に示すように、非対称的構造に取り付け、電極アセンブリーをバッテリーケース中に取り付け、電極アセンブリーを電解質で含浸させ、バッテリーケースを密封してバッテリーを製造した。
絶縁性フィルムを各電極リード線の対向する主要表面に、図2に示すように、対称的構造に取り付けた以外は、例1と同じ方法でバッテリーを製造した。
例1及び比較例1によりそれぞれ製造したバッテリーを含む携帯電話に対して小振動実験を行った。これらの実験では、小振動を各10個の携帯電話に12,000サイクルまで一定して作用させ、バッテリーの電圧を検査した。電圧を検出したバッテリーの数を下記の表1に示す。小振動実験は、十分に充電したバッテリーを取り付けた携帯電話を八角形プリズムの形状で形成したドラムの中に配置し、このドラムを280 rpmで回転させた。

PCMを取り付ける目的で電極リード線を図7に示すように曲げた時の曲げ安定性を確認するために、曲げ実験を、ASTMD2176-97aの方法で、図3(「例2」)の様式で絶縁性フィルムを取り付けた10個の電極リード線及び図2(「比較例2」)の様式で絶縁性フィルムを取り付けた10個の電極リード線に対して行った。これらの実験は、各電極リード線を回転機械に取り付け、400gの張力を電極リード線に作用させ、回転機械の直角運動を左(-90度)から右(+90度)に175 rpmで繰り返し、次いで電極リード線の破損が起こるまでの曲げサイクル数を測定する条件で行った。結果を下記の表2に示す。

Claims (11)
- カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造を有する電極アセンブリーを小袋形バッテリーケース中に取り付け、前記電極アセンブリーをバッテリーケースに熱的に溶接することにより製造される二次バッテリーであって、
前記小袋形バッテリーケースの上側に熱的に溶接された部分(上側密封部分)と接触する区域において、前記電極アセンブリーの電極タップが電気的に接続されている各電極リード線の対向する主要表面に、一対の絶縁性フィルムを取り付けてなり、
前記一対の絶縁性フィルム(a、b)の中の前記絶縁性フィルム(a)が伸びて、前記絶縁性フィルム(a)の下側末端が、前記電極タップが前記電極リード線に連結されている連結区域を支持し、及び
前記一対の絶縁性フィルム(a、b)間の重なり合っている長さ(L)が、前記上側密封部分の高さ(H)と等しいか、またはそれより僅かに大きいものである、二次バッテリー。 - 前記電極アセンブリーが、積重または積重/折り曲げ型構造に構築されてなる、請求項1に記載の二次バッテリー。
- 前記バッテリーケースが、金属層及び樹脂層を包含するラミネートシートから製造された小袋形構造に構築されてなる、請求項1に記載の二次バッテリー。
- 前記上側密封部分の高さ(H)が2〜2.5 mmである、請求項1に記載の二次バッテリー。
- 保護回路モジュール(PCM)が、前記バッテリーケースの前記上側密封部分から突き出た前記電極リード線の外側末端に電気的に接続されてなり、
前記PCMを前記電極リード線に接続する際に、前記電極リード線を前記上側密封部分に向けて曲げてなり、前記PCMが前記上側密封部分に取り付けられてなる、請求項1に記載の二次バッテリー。 - 前記電極リード線が曲げられる区域(曲げ区域)が、前記上側密封部分の上に位置する区域である、請求項5に記載の二次バッテリー。
- 前記一対の絶縁性フィルム(a、b)の一方〔絶縁性フィルム(a)または絶縁性フィルム(b)〕のみが、非対称的な様式で、前記曲げ区域に対応する前記上側密封部分の上に位置する区域に取り付けられてなる、請求項6に記載の二次バッテリー。
- 前記上側密封部分の上に位置する前記区域において、前記電極リード線の曲げが、前記絶縁性フィルムが取り付けられている前記上側密封部分に向けて行われてなる、請求項7に記載の二次バッテリー。
- 前記一対の絶縁性フィルム(a、b)の少なくとも一方が、前記絶縁性フィルムの中に形成された複数の通し穴を有する、請求項1に記載の二次バッテリー。
- 前記電極リード線を曲げて前記PCMを取り付ける時に、前記曲げ区域に対応する前記上側密封部分の上に位置する前記区域において、前記通し穴が前記絶縁性フィルム中に形成されてなる、請求項9に記載の二次バッテリー。
- 前記曲げ区域に対応する前記位置で形成された複数の通し穴を有する、少なくとも一方の絶縁性フィルム(aまたはb)が、前記電極リード線に取り付けられてなる、請求項10に記載の二次バッテリー。
