Description
Claims (15)
- 液状の燃料に含まれる水、特にディーゼル燃料から水、を分離して導出する方法であって、
燃料は、内燃機関の供給に用いられる導管システム(3、9、13)内で燃料給送ポンプ(12)によって給送され、
水がフィルタ装置(5)において分離され、前記フィルタ装置は、分離された水を集めるための収集室(27)を有し、かつ、燃料給送ポンプ(12)の吸込み側(11)の前段に接続されており、その吸込み作用が収集室(27)からの水の流出に拮抗作用し、かつ、予め定められた量の水が集積されると、給送ポンプ(12)の吸込み作用が阻止されて、収集室(27)の流出開口部(37)に設けられた排出弁が、水を導出するために開放される、前記方法において、
水の流出に拮抗作用する吸込み作用が、排出手段(43;53)によって阻止され、前記排出手段によって、排出期間にわたって、かつ、燃料給送ポンプ(12)の連続的な駆動の間、収集室(27)の流出開口部(37)に、水の流出を可能にする圧力勾配を形成可能である、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 水の予め定められた量の集積とその流出を認識する水センサ装置(29)によって、排出手段(43;53)を作動させる信号が発生される、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 排出手段(43;53)が、電子制御装置(31)を有しており、前記電子制御装置が、排出期間を決定し、かつ、決定された排出期間の間、排出手段(43;53)を作動させ、かつ排出弁を制御するための制御信号を発生させるために、水センサ装置(29)の信号を処理する、
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。 - 排出手段が、排出ポンプ(43)を有しており、前記排出ポンプの吸込み側(41)が、収集室(27)の流出開口部(37)と接続可能であって、排出手段が作動された場合に、前記排出ポンプが流出開口部(37)に、水の流出を可能にする圧力勾配を発生させる、
ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の方法。 - 排出手段が、そのオイル側(51)に燃料ポンプ(12)によって燃料がチャージされる、水空の圧力貯蔵器(53)と弁装置(55、57)とを有しており、
前記弁装置が電子制御装置(31)によって、圧力貯蔵器(53)によってフィルタ装置(5)内に圧力が構築され、その圧力が流出開口部(37)に、水の流出に必要な圧力勾配を発生させるように、操作可能である、
ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の方法。 - 電子制御装置(31)が、分離された水の温度を認識する温度センサ(33)の信号に従って、凍結防止として設けられた発熱素子(35)のための発熱制御信号を発生させる、ことを特徴とする請求項4または5に記載の方法。
- 請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の方法を実施する装置であって、
水分離器(7)を備えたフィルタ装置(5)を有し、前記フィルタ装置の入口(6)が燃料タンク(1)と、その出口(8)が内燃機関の燃料供給導管システム内の燃料給送ポンプ(12)の吸込み側(11)と接続されており、フィルタ装置(5)が、分離された水を集めるための収集室(27)を有しており、前記水が収集室(27)の流出開口部(37)を通して排出可能である、ものであって、
圧力制御装置(43;53)を有する排出手段が設けられており、前記圧力制御装置によって、排出期間にわたって流出開口部(37)に圧力勾配が形成可能であって、前記圧力勾配が、フィルタ装置(5)に存在する、作動する燃料給送ポンプ(12)の吸込み作用に抗して、水の流出を可能にする、
ことを特徴とする装置。 - 予め定められた量の水の集積を認識する水センサ装置(29)と、センサ装置のセンサ信号を処理する電子制御装置(31)が設けられており、
前記電子制御装置が、排出手段のため、およびその圧力制御装置(43;53)に属する弁装置の制御のための制御信号を発生させる、
ことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の装置。 - 圧力制御装置が、排出ポンプ(43)を有しており、その吸込み側(41)が、水の流出を可能にする圧力勾配を発生させるために、流出開口部(37)と接続可能である、ことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の装置。
- 圧力制御装置が、水および空気の圧力貯蔵器、特にダイアフラム貯蔵器(53)を有しており、そのオイル側(51)が燃料給送ポンプ(12)の圧力側と接続されており、かつ電子制御装置によって制御可能な、弁装置の弁(55)を介してフィルタ装置(5)の入口(6)と接続可能である、
ことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の装置。 - 弁(55)が、3/2ルート弁であって、前記ルート弁を介してフィルタ装置(5)の入口(6)が交互に圧力貯蔵器(53)または燃料タンク(1)と接続可能である、ことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の装置。
- 本装置が、水分離器(7)を有する既存のフィルタ装置(5)に取り付け可能な、後付けシステムとして形成されている、ことを特徴とする請求項7から11のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- フィルタケーシングが底側の水出口(63)を有しているスピン−オン−フィルタ部材の形式のフィルタ装置(5)において、後付けシステムがカップの底(61)に取り付け可能なボディ(71)を有し、前記ボディ(71)がカップの水出口(63)を包囲する中空室(69)を有しており、前記中空室(69)がフィルタ装置(5)に付属する収集室(27)の構成部分を形成し、かつ、収集室(27)から水を流出させるための流出開口部(37)を有している、
ことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の装置。 - ボディ(71)がカップの水出口(63)と螺合された中空ボルト(65)によってカップに固定されており、前記中空ボルトが収集室(27)として用いられる中空室(69)への水通路を形成するための孔(67)を有している、ことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の装置。
- ボディ(71)内に、中空室(69)内にある水のレベル高さを認識するための水センサ装置(29)、電子制御装置(31)、選択的なそれに対応づけられた弁、および、選択的な排出ポンプ(43)が内蔵されており、
前記排出ポンプの吸込み側(41)が、選択的に、逆止め弁(39)を介して、ボディ(71)の中空室(69)と接続されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の装置。
