Abstract
Description
一以上の実施の態様においては、熱可塑性ポリマーはその特徴として、グラフトされる前に、重量平均分子量(Mw)が100 kg/モルから2,000 kg/モル、及び他の実施の態様において300 kg/モルから600 kg/モルであることがある。また、その数平均分子量(Mn)が80 kg/モルから800 kg/モル、及び他の実施の態様においては90 kg/モルから200 kg/モルであることもある。分子量は時差屈折率検出器を持ち、ポリスチレン標準を用いて較正されたWaters 150 ゲル浸透クロマトグラフィー(GPC)を用いてサイズ排除クロマトグラフィー(SEC)を用いて決定しても良い。
フマル酸 ジアミド、フマル酸―N−モノブチルアミド、フマル酸―N,N−ジブチルアミド、マレイミド、N−ブチルマレイミド、N−フェニルマレイミド、アクリル酸ナトリウム、メタクリル酸ナトリウム、アクリル酸カリ、及びメタクリル酸カリを含む。
110℃から250℃、他の実施の態様においては155℃から170℃、他の実施の態様においては160℃から165℃であっても良い。これらのガラス転移温度(Tg)は-10から10℃、他の実施の態様においては-3 から5℃、他の実施の態様においては0から2°C.であっても良い。一以上の実施の態様においては結晶化温度(Tc)は、任意選択的に少なくとも75℃、他の実施の態様においては少なくとも95℃,他の実施の態様においては少なくとも100℃, 及び他の実施の態様においては少なくとも105℃であっても良く、ある実施の態様においては105から115℃の範囲であっても良い。
サンプル1−9
9の熱可塑性加硫ゴムが生成され、アルミニウムに対する接着を含め各々水による老化前及び老化後にその種々の特性が試験された。各熱可塑性加硫ゴムは2軸押出機内で生成された。非官能性熱可塑性ポリオレフィン、低結晶化ポリオレフィン、官能性熱可塑性樹脂及び官能性炭化水素樹脂がEPDM、粘土及び酸化亜鉛と共に、押出機の始めの部分に近い所にあるロス・イン・ウエイト(loss-in-weight)ベルトフィーダーを用いて押出機に導入された。メルトブレンドが進むにつれ、水素化ケイ素が添加され、それに続いてプラチナ触媒が添加された。押出は溶融温度が180℃から220℃まで上がる様に設定された。押出機の一つの通気孔が少量の揮発性物質を除去し、押出組成物に気孔が生ずるのを防ぐため吸排気口として使用された。組成物は、水中ペレッタイザーを用いて最終的に球状ペレットにされた。
上のサンプルと同様な方法で、3つの追加の熱可塑性加硫ゴムが生成され、試験された。その特徴的な成分は、種々の試験の結果と共に表IIに示す。サンプル11及び12は3重量部の触媒システムを含んでいることは注目すべきである。
5つの追加の熱可塑性加硫ゴムサンプルがブラベンダーミキサーにより180°C 及び150 rpmで生成された。成分は、次の点を除いて上のサンプルで使用されたものと同様であった。すなわち、サンプル13及び14は官能性粘着付与樹脂を使用し、サンプル15及び16は非官能性粘着付与樹脂を使用し、サンプル17は粘着付与樹脂を含んでいなかった。サンプルで用いられた粘着付与樹脂の量は、接着性試験の結果と共に表IIIに示す。
Claims (19)
- 熱可塑性加硫ゴムであって、動的硬化されたゴム、官能性熱可塑性ポリマー及び官能性粘着付与樹脂を含む、前記熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記官能性熱可塑性ポリマーがマレイン酸ポリプロピレンポリマー(maleated propylene polymer)を含み、前記官能性粘着付与樹脂がマレイン酸炭化水素樹脂(maleated hydrocarbon resin)を含む、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記ゴムがケイ素含有触媒を用いて動的硬化される、請求項1又は2に記載の熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記官能性熱可塑性コポリマーが極性基を含む、請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記官能性熱可塑性ポリマーの極性基がカルボニル基を含む、請求項4に記載の熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記官能性熱可塑性ポリマーが、ASTM D-1238 230℃及び2.1 kg負荷で測定された、メルトフローレートが20から2,000 dg/分であるプロピレン ベースのポリマーである、請求項5に記載の前記熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記官能性熱可塑性ポリマーが重量で少なくとも0.2%の官能化部分を持つ、請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記官能化粘着付与樹脂がグラフトされた粘着付与樹脂である、請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記グラフトされた粘着付与樹脂が極性基を含む、請求項8に記載の熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記グラフトされた粘着付与樹脂の極性基がカルボニル基を含む、請求項9に記載の熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記グラフトされた粘着付与樹脂がグラフトされた合成炭化水素原料、グラフトされた合成オリゴマー、グラフトされた天然樹脂又はこれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項10に記載の熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記グラフトされた粘着付与樹脂が、粘着付与樹脂をグラフトモノマーと組み合わせ、接触させ又は反応させることにより生成される、請求項11に記載の熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記グラフトされた粘着付与樹脂が、グラフトモノマーを炭化水素樹脂と0.1:1から1:1のモル比で結合させることにより生成される、請求項11に記載の熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記グラフトされた粘着付与樹脂が、グラフトモノマーを炭化水素樹脂と0.2:1から5:1のモル比で結合させることにより生成される、請求項11に記載の熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記熱可塑性加硫ゴムが更に非官能性熱可塑性ポリマーを含む、請求項1乃至14のいずれか1項に記載の熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記非官能性熱可塑性ポリマーが、結晶質又は半結晶質熱可塑性ポリマー、又は低結晶化度熱可塑性ポリマー又はこれらの混合物を含む、請求項15に記載の熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記非官能性熱可塑性ポリマーが、非官能性熱可塑性ポリマーの結晶化度が25%未満、23℃でASTM-D 790Aにより測定される及び曲げ弾性率が150Mpa未満であることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の熱可塑性加硫ゴム。
- 前記熱可塑性加硫ゴムが前記極性基材に接着する請求項1乃至14のいずれか1項に記載の商品。
- 握ることの可能な消費者用商品として使用される請求項18に記載の商品。
