A.粉末の製造
実施例1:4.1kg/hのTiCl4と0.05kg/hのSiCl4を気化させる。この蒸気を、公知の構造のバーナーの混合室において2.0m3(STP)/hの水素及び9.1m3(STP)/hの乾燥空気と一緒にした窒素を用いて混合し、この反応混合物に点火した後に、中心管を介して水冷された火炎管へ供給し、そこで燃焼させる。

- ケイ素チタン混合酸化物粉末において、以下の特徴:
− 5〜300m2/gのBET表面積、
− 混合酸化物粉末の全量に対して、0.1質量%以上0.5質量%未満のシリカ含有率、
− 混合酸化物粉末の全量に対して、99.0質量%以上の二酸化チタン含有率、
− 混合酸化物粉末の全量に対して、99.5質量%以上のシリカと二酸化チタンの割合の合計、
− 相互成長したルチル相とアナターゼ相を含む一次粒子の二酸化チタン分、
− 非晶質一次粒子のシリカ分を有することを特徴とする、ケイ素チタン混合酸化物粉末。 - 前記BET表面積が30〜120m2/gであることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のケイ素/チタン混合酸化物粉末。
- 前記ルチル/アナターゼの比が30:70〜5:95であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2記載のケイ素チタン混合酸化物粉末。
- 請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載のケイ素チタン混合酸化物粉末の製造方法において、それぞれの場合において混合酸化物粉末の全量に対して0.1質量%以上0.5質量%未満のシリカと99.0質量%以上の二酸化チタンの割合に相当する、それぞれの場合において被酸化性の及び/又は加水分解性の1種以上のチタン化合物及びケイ素化合物の蒸気を、別個に又は一緒に混合室に移送し、次いで高温領域の反応空間において酸素及び/又は水蒸気を用いて反応させ、この反応混合物を反応後に冷却し、且つ粉状の固体を気体物質から分離させることを特徴とする、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載のケイ素チタン混合酸化物粉末の製造方法。
- 前記高温領域が酸素含有ガス(一次空気)と水素含有燃焼ガスとの反応によって形成された火炎であることを特徴とする、請求項4記載の方法。
- 前記高温領域が900〜1600Kの温度となるように前記火炎の組成を選択することを特徴とする、請求項5記載の方法。
- 前記チタン化合物が四塩化チタンであることを特徴とする、請求項5又は6記載の方法。
- 前記ケイ素化合物が四塩化ケイ素であることを特徴とする、請求項5から7までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記チタン化合物及び前記ケイ素化合物を200℃以下の温度で気化し、この蒸気を水素含有燃焼ガス及び空気又は酸素富化空気と混合し、この混合物に点火して反応空間中で燃焼させることを特徴とする、請求項5から8までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載のケイ素チタン混合酸化物粉末を含有する分散液。
- 請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載のケイ素チタン混合酸化物粉末を皮膜又は皮膜成分として含む被覆された基材。
- 請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載のケイ素チタン混合酸化物粉末の光触媒としての使用。
- 請求項13記載の分散液の光触媒としての使用。
- 請求項14記載の被覆された基材の光触媒としての使用。
