Claims (26)

The additive composition for fuels, wherein the additive composition contains at least 100 ppm of the organic compound (ii).

(I) a metal compound selected from iron compounds, manganese compounds, calcium compounds, cerium compounds and mixtures thereof;
(Ii) an organic compound selected from bicyclic monoterpenes, substituted bicyclic monoterpenes, adamantane, propylene carbonate and mixtures thereof; and
(Iii) Fuel selected from biofuel, diesel, marine fuel, heating kerosene, middle distillate oil and heavy oil.

A method of combusting a fuel composition in a combustion system with exhaust, comprising the step of combusting the fuel composition so as to reduce soot and ash in the exhaust.
