【解決手段】 (A)鉱油および合成油の中から選らばれる少なくとも1種を基油とし、(B)水を組成物全量基準で0.1〜10質量%と、(C)ザルコシン型化合物、ノニオン系界面活性剤、スルホン酸塩、エステル、アミン、カルボン酸、脂肪酸アミン塩、カルボン酸塩、パラフィンワックス、酸化ワックス塩及びホウ素化合物からなる群から選ばれる1種以上の特定のさび止め添加剤を含有してなる、40℃における動粘度が20〜100mm2/sであるさび止め油組成物。

また、ワックスなどの重質成分が配合されたさび止め油の場合、粘度上昇による持ち出し量の増加、脱脂性の悪化、スプレー塗布の際の噴霧性の悪化などの問題があるため、ザルコシン型化合物を配合しワックスなどの重質成分を配合せずとも、さび止め性を維持する方法も提案されている。(例えば、特許文献2を参照。)
また、従来の金属加工工程において、洗浄工程とさび止め工程の二つの工程を一元化して、洗浄性とさび止め性を兼ね備えた洗浄兼さび止め剤組成物が提案されているが(特許文献3を参照)、長時間に亘るさび止め性能が十分とは言えない。
上記のとおり、従来の技術では、様々な金属加工後の部品や素手による組み付けをした金属部品にさび発生因子が付着している場合、未だ長期間に亘って優れたさび止め性能を有するさび止め油がなく、より長期間に亘ってさび止め性能を維持するさび止め油の開発が要望されている。
また、前記のさび止め添加剤のうち、スルホン酸塩がアミンスルホネートであり、エステルが多価アルコールの部分エステルであるさび止め油組成物に関する。
また、スルホン酸塩及び/又はカルボン酸塩が、カルシウム塩であるさび止め油組成物に関する。
また、塩基価が1〜25mgKOH/gであるさび止め油組成物に関する。
また、JIS K 2246「さび止め油」で規定されている中性塩水噴霧試験においてさび発生度がA級(さび発生度が0%)を維持する時間が10時間以上であるさび止め油組成物に関する。
鉱油としては、具体的には、原油を常圧蒸留及び減圧蒸留して得られた潤滑油留分に対して、溶剤脱れき、溶剤抽出、水素化分解、溶剤脱ろう、接触脱ろう、水素化精製、硫酸洗浄、白土処理の1種もしくは2種以上の精製手段を適宜組み合わせて適用して得られるパラフィン系又はナフテン系の鉱油等が挙げられる。
本発明の組成物において、水の含有量は、組成物全量基準で下限値0.1質量%、上限値10質量%の範囲で含有する。水の含有量の下限値は、さび発生の抑制性の点から、0.1質量%以上であり、0.2質量%以上が好ましく、0.5質量%以上が最も好ましい。また、含有量の上限値は、さび発生の抑制性の点及び水の耐分離安定性を示す点から、10質量%以下であり、9質量%以下がより好ましい。
水の配合方法は特に限定しないが、例えば(1)界面活性剤と水を予め混合し、その混合液を基油に配合する方法。(2)ホモジナイザーなどの攪拌装置を用いて、水を強制的に配合・分散させる方法。(3)スチームを基油中に吹き込み、水を強制的に配合・分散させる方法、及び(4)本発明のさび止め油組成物を金属製部材に塗布後に大気中の水分を自然に吸収させる方法などが、例示できる。

一般式(1)〜(3)中、R1は炭素数6〜30のアルキル基又は炭素数6〜30のアルケニル基を表す。基油への溶解性などの点から、炭素数6以上のアルキル基又はアルケニル基であることが必要であり、炭素数7以上であることが好ましく、炭素数8以上であることがより好ましい。また、貯蔵安定性などの点から、炭素数30以下のアルキル基又はアルケニル基であることが必要であり、炭素数24以下であることが好ましく、炭素数20以下であることがより好ましい。このようなアルキル基及びアルケニル基としては、具体的には例えば、ヘキシル基、ヘプチル基、オクチル基、ノニル基、デシル基、ウンデシル基、ドデシル基、トリデシル基、テトラデシル基、ペンタデシル基、ヘキサデシル基、ヘプタデシル基、オクタデシル基、ノナデシル基、イコシル基等のアルキル基(これらアルキル基は直鎖状でも分枝状でも良い);ヘキセニル基、ヘプテニル基、オクテニル基、ノネニル基、デセニル基、ウンデセニル基、ドデセニル基、トリデセニル基、テトラデセニル基、ペンタデセニル基、ヘキサデセニル基、ヘプタデセニル基、オクタデセニル基、ノナデセニル基、イコセニル基等のアルケニル基(これらアルケニル基は直鎖状でも分枝状でも良く、また二重結合の位置も任意である)等が挙げられる。
原子または炭素数1〜20のアルキル基であることがより好ましく、水素原子または炭素数1〜10のアルキル基であることがさらにより好ましい。
ポリオキシアルキレングリコールとしては、エチレンオキシド、プロピレンオキシド、ブチレンオキシド等のアルキレンオキシドを単独重合あるいは共重合したものが用いられる。なお、ポリオキシアルキレングリコールにおいて、構造の異なったアルキレンオキシドが共重合している場合、オキシアルキレン基の重合形式に特に制限はなく、ランダム共重合していても、ブロック共重合していても良い。
また、ポリオキシアルキレンアルキルエーテルとしては、上記ポリオキシアルキレングリコールのアルキルエーテル等が挙げられる。この場合、本願のさび止め剤組成物の液安定性(二層分離等)の点から、ポリオキシアルキレングリコールはエチレンオキサイド及び/又はプロピレンオキサイドの重合物であることが好ましい。また、同様の理由により、平均重合度は2〜15が好ましく、2〜10がより好ましく、2〜7であることがさらにより好ましい。また、同様の理由によりアルキルエーテルのアルキル基の炭素数は、1〜24であることが好ましく、2〜24であることがより好ましく、2〜20であることがさらにより好ましく、2〜18であることが最も好ましい。
また、ポリオキシアルキレンアリールエーテルとしては、上記ポリオキシアルキレングリコールのフェニルエーテル、アルキルフェニルエーテル等が挙げられる。この場合、さび止め剤組成物の液安定性(二層分離等)の点から、ポリオキシアルキレングリコールはエチレンオキサイド及び/又はプロピレンオキサイドの重合物であることが好ましい。また、同様の理由により、平均重合度は2〜15が好ましく、2〜10がより好ましく、2〜7であることがさらにより好ましい。また、同様の理由によりアルキルフェニルエーテルのアルキル基の炭素数は、1〜24であることが好ましく、4〜24であることがより好ましく、6〜22であることがさらにより好ましく、8〜20であることが最も好ましい。
また、ポリオキシアルキレンアルキルアミンとしては、アルキルアミンのポリアルキレンオキサイド付加物が挙げられ、
この場合、さび止め剤組成物のさび止め性の点から、ポリアルキレンオキサイドはエチレンオキサイド及び/又はプロピレンオキサイドの重合物であることが好ましい。また、同様の理由により、ポリアルキレンオキサイドの平均重合度は1〜15が好ましく、1〜10がより好ましく、2〜7であることがさらにより好ましい。中でも、モノアルキルアミン、ジアルキルアミン、アルキル−モノシクロアルキルアミン及びジシクロアルキルアミンのポリアルキレンオキサイド付加物が好ましく、モノシクロヘキシルアミンのポリオキシアルキレンオキサイド付加物が特に好ましい。
スルホン酸塩を構成するアルカリ金属としては、ナトリウム、カリウム等が挙げられる。また、アルカリ土類金属としては、マグネシウム、カルシウム、バリウム等が挙げられる。中でも、アルカリ金属およびアルカリ土類金属としては、ナトリウム、カリウム、カルシウム及びバリウムが好ましく、カルシウムが特に好ましい。

前記好適なジアルキルベンゼンスルホン酸である、ベンゼン環に結合する2つのアルキル基がそれぞれ直鎖アルキル基または側鎖メチル基を1個有する分岐鎖状アルキル基であり、且つ2つのアルキル基の総炭素数が14〜30のものが、モノアルキルベンゼンスルホン酸の場合は後述するようにアルキル基の炭素数が15以上であれば好適に使用できるが、アルキル基の炭素数が15未満のモノアルキルベンゼンスルホン酸を用いると組成物の貯蔵安定性が低下する傾向にある。また、3個以上のアルキル基を有するアルキルベンゼンスルホン酸を用いた場合にも組成物の貯蔵安定性が低下する傾向にある。
多価アルコールの部分エステルとは、多価アルコール中の水酸基の少なくとも1個以上がエステル化されておらず水酸基のままで残っているエステルであり、その原料である多価アルコールとしては任意のものが使用可能であるが、分子中の水酸基の数は好ましくは2〜10、より好ましくは3〜6であり、且つ炭素数が2〜20、より好ましくは3〜10である多価アルコールが好適に使用される。これらの多価アルコールの中でも、グリセリン、トリメチロールエタン、トリメチロールプロパン、ペンタエリスリトールおよびソルビタンからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種の多価アルコールを用いることが好ましく、ペンタエリスリトールを用いることがより好ましい。
ヒドロキシカルボン酸の炭素数は、さび止め性と貯蔵安定性との両立の点から、2〜40が好ましく、6〜30がより好ましく、8〜24がさらに好ましい。ヒドロキシカルボン酸が有するカルボン酸基の個数は特に制限されず、当該ヒドロキシカルボン酸一塩基酸または多塩基酸のいずれでもよいが、一塩基酸が好ましい。ヒドロキシカルボン酸が有する水酸基の個数は特に制限されないが、安定性の点から、1〜4が好ましく、1〜3がより好ましく、1〜2が更に好ましく、1が特に好ましい。
ヒドロキシカルボン酸における水酸基の結合位置は任意であるが、カルボン酸基の結合炭素原子に水酸基が結合したカルボン酸(α-ヒドロキシ酸)、またはカルボン酸基の結合炭素原子から見て主鎖の他端の炭素原子に水酸基が結合したカルボン酸(ω-ヒドロキシ酸)であることが好ましい。
水酸基を有さない飽和カルボン酸の炭素数は、さび止め性と貯蔵安定性との両立の点から、2〜40が好ましく、6〜30がより好ましく、8〜24が更に好ましい。水酸基を有さない飽和カルボン酸におけるカルボン酸基の個数は特に制限されず、一塩基酸または多塩基酸のいずれでもよいが、一塩基酸が好ましい。水酸基を有さない飽和カルボン酸の中でも、酸化安定性および耐ステイン性の点から、ラウリン酸、ステアリン酸等の炭素数10〜16の直鎖飽和カルボン酸が特に好ましい。
上記部分エステルが、構成カルボン酸に占める不飽和カルボン酸の割合が5〜95質量%である部分エステルである場合、当該部分エステルのヨウ素価は、5〜75が好ましく、10〜60がより好ましく、20〜45が更に好ましい。部分エステルのヨウ素価が5未満であると、さび止め性および貯蔵安定性が低下する傾向にある。また、部分エステルのヨウ素価が75を超えると、大気暴露性および基油に対する溶解性が低下する傾向にある。本発明でいう「ヨウ素価」とは、JIS K 0070「化学製品の酸価、ケン化価、ヨウ素価、水酸基価および不ケン化物価」の指示薬滴定法により測定したヨウ素価を意味する。
(i)多価アルコールとヒドロキシカルボン酸との、またはヒドロキシカルボン酸と水酸基を有さない飽和カルボン酸との混合物との部分エステルと、多価アルコールと水酸基を有さない不飽和カルボン酸との、または水酸基を有さない不飽和カルボン酸と水酸基を有さない飽和カルボン酸との混合物との部分エステルとを、両者の混合物におけるカルボン酸組成が上記条件を満たすように混合する方法。
(ii)得られる部分エステルのカルボン酸組成が上記条件を満たすように、水酸基を有するカルボン酸と水酸基を有さない不飽和カルボン酸とを混合し、あるいは水酸基を有さない飽和カルボン酸を更に混合し、当該カルボン酸混合物と多価アルコールとの部分エステル化反応を行う方法。
(iii)ヒドロキシカルボン酸と水酸基を有さない不飽和カルボン酸との混合物との、あるいはこれらのカルボン酸と水酸基を有さない飽和カルボン酸との混合物との部分エステルに、カルボン酸組成が上記条件を満たすように、多価アルコールとヒドロキシカルボン酸との、もしくはヒドロキシカルボン酸と水酸基を有さない飽和カルボン酸との混合物との部分エステル、または多価アルコールと水酸基を有さない不飽和カルボン酸との、もしくは水酸基を有さない不飽和カルボン酸と水酸基を有さない飽和カルボン酸との混合物との部分エステルを混合する方法。
ポリオキシアルキレングリコールとしては、例えば、エチレンオキサイド、プロピレンオキサイド、ブチレンオキサイドを単独重合または共重合させたものが挙げられる。ポリオキシアルキレングリコールにおいて、構造の異なるアルキレンオキサイドが共重合している場合、オキシアルキレン基の重合形式は特に制限されず、ランダム共重合、ブロック共重合のいずれでもよい。また、ポリオキシアルキレングリコールの重合度は特に制限されないが、2〜10が好ましく、2〜8がより好ましく、2〜6が更に好ましい。
上記アミンの中でも、モノアミンは耐ステイン性が良好であるという点で好ましく、モノアミンの中でもアルキルアミン、アルキル基およびアルケニル基を有するモノアミン、アルキル基およびシクロアルキル基を有するモノアミン、シクロアルキルアミンならびにアルキルシクロアルキルアミンがより好ましい。また、耐ステイン性が良好であるという点から、アミン分子中の合計炭素数3以上のアミンが好ましく、合計炭素数5以上のアミンがより好ましい。
このような脂肪酸としては、例えば、ヘキサン酸、ヘプタン酸、オクタン酸、ノナン酸、デカン酸、ウンデカン酸、ドデカン酸、トリデカン酸、テトラデカン酸、ペンタデカン酸、ヘキサデカン酸、ヘプタデカン酸、オクタデカン酸、ノナデカン酸、イコサン酸、ヘンイコサン酸、ドコサン酸、トリコサン酸、テトラコサン酸等の飽和脂肪酸;ヘキセン酸、ヘプテン酸、オクテン酸、ノネン酸、デセン酸、ウンデセン酸、ドデセン酸、トリデセン酸、テトラデセン酸、ペンタデセン酸、ヘキサデセン酸、ヘプタデセン酸、オクタデセン酸、ノナデセン酸、イコセン酸、ヘンイコセン酸、ドコセン酸、トリコセン酸、テトラコセン酸等の不飽和脂肪酸;またはこれらの混合物が挙げられ、これら脂肪酸の全ての置換異性体も挙げられる。
ヒドロキシ脂肪酸としては、好ましくは炭素数6〜24のヒドロキシ脂肪酸が用いられる。また、ヒドロキシ脂肪酸が有するヒドロキシ基の個数は1個でも複数個でもよいが、1〜3個のヒドロキシ基を有するものが好ましく用いられる。このようなヒドロキシ脂肪酸としては、例えば、リシノール酸が挙げられる。
ナフテン酸とは、石油中のカルボン酸類であって、ナフテン環に−COOH基が結合したものをいう。樹脂酸とは、天然樹脂中に遊離した状態またはエステルとして存在する有機酸をいう。酸化ワックスとは、ワックスを酸化して得られるものである。原料として用いられるワックスは特に制限されないが、具体的には、石油留分の精製の際に得られるパラフィンワックス、マイクロクリスタリンワックス、ペトラタムや合成により得られるポリオレフィンワックス等が挙げられる。
ラノリン脂肪酸とは、羊の毛に付着するろう状物質を、加水分解等の精製をして得られるカルボン酸である。
これらのカルボン酸の中でも、さび止め性、脱脂性および貯蔵安定性の点から、ジカルボン酸が好ましく、ダイマー酸がより好ましく、オレイン酸のダイマー酸がより好ましい。
酸化ワックス塩がアルカリ金属塩である場合、原料として使用されるアルカリ金属としては、ナトリウム、カリウム等が挙げられる。酸化ワックス塩がアルカリ土類金属塩である場合、原料として使用されるアルカリ土類金属としては、マグネシウム、カルシウム、バリウム等が挙げられる。酸化ワックス塩が重金属塩である場合、原料として使用される重金属としては、亜鉛、鉛等が挙げられる。中でもカルシウム塩が好ましい。なお、人体や生体系に対する安全性の点から、酸化ワックス塩はバリウム塩および重金属塩でないことが好ましい。
本発明の組成物に用いる(C)成分のさび止め剤としては、水が共存する条件下でより優れたさび止め性を発揮するという点から、スルホン酸塩またはエステルが好ましく、さらにスルホン酸塩とエステルを併用することがより好ましい。
上記さび止め剤以外に、高級脂肪族アルコール等に代表されるアルコール類;リン酸モノエステル、リン酸ジエステル、亜リン酸エステル、リン酸、亜リン酸のアミン塩等に代表されるリン酸誘導体類、亜リン酸誘導体類等をさび止め剤として含有させることもできる。
本発明の組成物において、(C)成分のうちさび止め剤としてカルボン酸を用いる場合の含有量は特に制限されないが、さび止め性の点から、組成物全量基準として、好ましくは0.01質量%以上、より好ましくは0.03質量%以上、更に好ましくは0.05質量%以上である。
カルボン酸の含有量が前記下限値未満であると、その添加によるさび止め性向上効果が不十分となる恐れがある。また、カルボン酸の含有量は、組成物全量を基準として、好ましくは2質量%以下、より好ましくは1.5質量%以下、更に好ましくは1質量%以下である。カルボン酸の含有量が前記上限値を超えると、基油に対する溶解性が不十分となり、貯蔵安定性が低下する恐れがある。
上記さび止め剤の塩素濃度は、本発明の組成物の特性を損なわない限りにおいて特に制限されないが、好ましくは200質量ppm以下、より好ましくは100質量ppm以下、さらに好ましくは50ppm以下、特に好ましくは25質量ppm以下である。
なお、本発明における元素の含有量とは、以下の方法によって測定される値をいう。すなわち、バリウム、亜鉛および鉛の含有量とは、ASTM D 5185-95 "Standard Test Method for Determination of Additive Elements, Wear Metals, and Contaminants in Used Lubricating Oils and Determination of Selected Elements in Base Oils by Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry(ICP-AES)";塩素の含有量とは、"IPPROPOSED METHOD AK/81Determination of chlorine Microcoulometry oxidative method"にそれぞれ準拠して測定される組成物全量を基準とした含有量(質量ppm)を意味する。上記測定方法における各元素の検出限界は通常1質量ppmである。
被処理体である金属製部材は特に制限されず、具体的には、自動車ボディや電気製品ボディとなる冷延鋼板、熱延鋼板、高張力鋼板、亜鉛めっき鋼板等の表面処理鋼板、ブリキ用原板、アルミニウム合金板、マグネシウム合金板等の金属製板材、更には転がり軸受、テーパー転がり軸受、ニードル軸受等の軸受部品、建築用鋼材、精密部品等が挙げられる。
このような金属製部材に対する従来のさび止め油としては、金属製部材の加工工程等の過程で用いられる中間さび止め油、出荷時のさび止めのために用いられる出荷さび止め油、プレス加工に供する前の異物除去または金属板製造メーカーにおいて出荷に先立つ異物除去のための洗浄工程で用いられる洗浄さび止め油などがあるが、本発明の洗浄兼さび止め油組成物はこれらすべての用途に使用することができる。
本発明の組成物を用いて洗浄を行う際には、リンガーロール等による金属製部材の表面処理を併せて行い、金属製部材の表面の付着油量を調節することが好ましい。
このような工程において再使用される本発明の組成物の性能は、前工程油の混入等により低下することが懸念される。したがって、本発明の組成物を再使用する際には、使用油に対して定期的に動粘度や密度の測定、銅板腐食試験、さび止め性試験等を行ってその性状を管理し、必要に応じて更油、ドレイン廃棄、タンク清掃、浄油操作等を行うことが好ましい。
「実施例1〜9及び比較例1〜7」
表1の実施例1〜9に示す組成を有する各種の本発明に係るさび止め油組成物、及び表2に示す比較例1〜7に示すさび止め油組成物をそれぞれ調製した。各組成物の調製に用いた成分は、以下のとおりである。
A1:40℃における動粘度が1.5mm2/sの鉱油

JIS K 2283に準拠して測定した。
<さび止め性試験―1(湿潤試験)>
JIS K 2246−2007「さび止め油」、6.34「湿潤試験方法」に準拠して評価した。さび発生度がA級(さび発生度が0%)を維持するまでの時間(h)を測定して評価した。
<さび止め性試験―2(中性塩水噴霧試験)>
JIS K2246−2007「さび止め油」、6.35「中性塩水噴霧試験」に準拠して評価した。さびが発生するまでの時間(h)を測定して評価し、評価は1時間ごとに行った。
<さび止め性試験―3(さび止め性試験)>
下記のステップで試験を実施した。
(1)清浄にした試験片(湿潤試験方法と同じもの)について、JIS K 2246−2007の6.31「指紋除去性試験」を準拠し、人工指紋液をプリントする。
(2)指紋をプリントした試験片を試料油中に浸漬塗布し、24h油切りする。
(3)湿潤試験と同じ要領で試験片を吊った状態とし、50℃、相対湿度95%に調整した高湿恒温槽内で2週間保持する。
上記の工程を終了後、さび発生の有無を評価した。さびが発生した場合を「有」、さびが発生しない場合を「無」とした。
<さび止め性試験―4(除去性)>
JIS K 2246−2007の6.31「指紋除去性試験」を実施し、次の評価基準を用いた。
評価基準は、◎さび無し、○僅かなさびあり、○〜△僅かであるがやや多い、△ややさび有り、×さび有り、とした。なお、◎から○〜△までを、合格とした。
<分離安定性>
さび止め油組成物を調製後、25℃に調整した恒温槽中に24h保持し、水の分離の有無を評価した。水が分離しない場合を、「無」、水が分離した場合を「有」とした。
<吸湿試験>
200mlのガラス容器に試料油を10g入れ、30℃,80%RHに調整した恒温槽に16h放置したときの水分量を測定した。
水分の測定方法:JIS K2275 カールフィッシャー式(水分気化装置を用いる)
Claims (5)
- (A)鉱油および合成油の中から選らばれる少なくとも1種を基油とし、
(B)水を組成物全量基準で0.1〜10質量%と、
(C)ザルコシン型化合物、ノニオン系界面活性剤、スルホン酸塩、エステル、アミン、カルボン酸、脂肪酸アミン塩、カルボン酸塩、パラフィンワックス、酸化ワックス塩及びホウ素化合物からなる群から選ばれる1種以上の特定のさび止め添加剤を含有してなる、40℃における動粘度が20〜100mm2/sであるさび止め油組成物。 - 請求項1に記載のさび止め添加剤のうち、スルホン酸塩がアミンスルホネートであり、エステルが多価アルコールの部分エステルである、請求項1に記載のさび止め油組成物。
- スルホン酸塩及び/又はカルボン酸塩が、カルシウム塩である、請求項1に記載のさび止め油組成物。
- 塩基価が1〜25mgKOH/gである、請求項1〜請求項3に記載のさび止め油組成物。
- JIS K 2246「さび止め油」で規定されている中性塩水噴霧試験においてさび発生度がA級(さび発生度が0%)を維持する時間が10時間以上である、請求項1〜請求項4に記載のさび止め油組成物。
