Abstract

Claims (15)
- 長手方向軸を有するコアアセンブリと、
流体処理パックが、供給側表面および反対側の透過側表面を有する流体処理媒体と、前記流体処理媒体の供給側表面に沿って延びる供給側領域と、前記流体処理媒体の透過側表面に沿って延びる透過側領域とを含み、前記流体処理パックが、前記コアアセンブリの周りに螺旋状に巻き付けられ、前記供給側領域の複数の螺旋巻層、前記透過側領域の複数の螺旋巻層、および前記流体処理媒体の複数の螺旋巻層を含み、前記流体処理媒体の各螺旋巻層が、前記供給側領域の螺旋巻層と、前記透過側領域の螺旋巻層との間に配置され、前記螺旋状に巻き付けられた流体処理パックが複数の軸方向に隣接するセクションを有し、1つのセクションの前記供給側領域が隣接するセクションの前記供給側領域と流体的に導通し、前記1つのセクションの前記透過側領域が前記隣接するセクションの前記透過側領域から流体的に隔離され、前記螺旋状に巻き付けられた流体処理パックの各セクションが、前記供給側領域の前記複数の螺旋巻層、前記流体処理媒体の前記複数の螺旋巻層、および前記透過側領域の前記複数の螺旋巻層を通ってほぼ放射方向に延びる透過ポートを有し、各透過ポートが、前記透過側領域の螺旋巻層と流体的に導通すると共に、前記供給側領域の螺旋巻層から流体的に隔離される、流体処理パックと、
前記螺旋状に巻き付けられた流体処理パックの少なくとも1つのセクションの前記透過側領域に流体的に結合されて、そのセクションの透過側領域の流動パラメータを制御する、1つまたは、それ以上の制御機構と、
を備える流体処理装置。 - 1つまたは、それ以上の制御機構が複数の制御機構を含み、各制御機構が、あるセクションの透過側領域に流体的に結合されて、前記セクションの透過側領域の流動パラメータを制御する、請求項1に記載の流体処理装置。
- 前記供給側領域が、スペーサと、前記スペーサによって画成されて実質的に構造を有さないフロースペースと、を含む、請求項1または2に記載の流体処理装置。
- 前記供給側領域側の、前記流体処理媒体に前記供給側表面に沿って延びる多孔性シート材料を備える、請求項1または2に記載の流体処理装置。
- 前記透過側領域側の、前記流体処理媒体に前記透過側表面に沿って延びる多孔性シート材料を備える、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の流体処理装置。
- 前記螺旋状に巻き付けられた流体処理パックの前記透過ポートが、前記コアアセンブリの1つまたは、それ以上の通路と流体的に導通する、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の流体処理装置。
- 各制御機構が、前記コアアセンブリに物理的に結合されている、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の流体処理装置。
- 複数の制御機構が、前記螺旋状に巻き付けられた流体処理パックの各セクションの透過流体流速を与え、当該透過流体流束が、前記螺旋状に巻き付けられた流体処理パックのセクションのすべての透過流体流束の平均の約5倍程度である、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の流体処理装置。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の流体処理装置とハウジングとを備える流体処理アセンブリであって、前記流体処理装置が前記ハウジングに配置され、前記ハウジングが、前記供給側領域の前記複数の螺旋巻層に供給流体を供給するために前記流体処理装置の前記供給側領域に流体的に結合された供給流体入口と、前記供給側領域の前記複数の螺旋巻層から滞留流体を放出するために前記流体処理装置の前記供給側領域に流体的に結合された環流流体出口とを含む、流体処理アセンブリ。
- 流体処理方法であって、
供給流体を、供給側領域の螺旋状の螺旋巻層を通して軸方向に、且つ、前記流体処理媒体の螺旋状の螺旋巻層に沿って流すステップであって、供給流体を流体処理媒体の供給側表面に沿って導く工程を含むステップと、
前記供給流体の一部分を、前記流体処理媒体を通して、且つ、前記透過側領域の螺旋状の螺旋巻層に沿って流すステップであって、前記流体処理媒体の透過側表面からの透過流体を、互いに流体的に隔離された透過側領域の隣接する軸方向セクション内に導く工程を含むステップと、
各軸方向セクションの前記透過側領域の螺旋巻層からの透過流体を、前記軸方向セクションにおいて前記供給側領域の螺旋巻層、前記流体処理媒体の螺旋巻層、および前記透過側領域の螺旋巻層を通って延びる透過ポート内に流すステップと、
透過ポートからの透過流体を、前記透過ポートに流体的に結合された制御機構を通して流すステップであって、対応する前記軸方向セクションの前記透過側領域の流動パラメータを制御する工程を含むステップとを
備える方法。 - 透過ポートからの透過流体を流すステップが、各透過ポートからの透過流体を、前記透過ポートに流体的に結合された制御機構を通して流し、対応するセクションの前記透過側領域の流動パラメータを制御する工程を含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 各透過ポートからの透過流体を、前記透過ポートに結合された制御機構を通して流すステップが、セクション間の流動パラメータの所定の関係を確立することを含む、請求項10または11に記載の方法。
- 供給流体を供給側領域の螺旋状の螺旋巻層を通して軸方向に流すステップが、供給流体ついて、多孔性シート素材を通して透過領域端面方向に流す工程を含む、請求項10〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 供給流体を供給側領域の螺旋状の螺旋巻層を通して軸方向に流すステップについて、供給流体が実質的に構造体を有さないフロースペースを通して流す工程を含む、請求項10〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 供給流体の一部分を透過側領域の螺旋状の螺旋巻層に沿って軸方向に流すステップについて、透過流体について多孔性シート素材を通して透過領域端面方向に導く工程を含む、請求項10〜14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
