Abstract
【解決手段】情報信号を重畳した可視光を照明投光する送信器1と、送信器1から照明投光された可視光を受光し、可視光に重畳された情報信号を取り出す受信器5とを備える。送信器1は、信号を変調して送信情報信号を生成する変調回路と、投光素子3を駆動して送信情報信号を可視光に重畳させ、青色光成分を含む白色光を可視照明光として照射する灯具2とを備える。受信器5は、送信器1の灯具2から照射された青色光成分を含む白色光を受光する受光器6と、受光器6から出力された受光信号から受信情報信号を生成する受信回路7とを備える。受光器の受光素子23として、青色光を高感度に且つ高速応答性をもって受光する青色光用フォトダイオードが使用される。

Claims (4)
- 情報信号を重畳した可視光を照明投光する送信器と、
該送信器から照明投光された可視光を受光し、可視光に重畳された情報信号を取り出す受信器と、
を備えた可視光通信装置において、
該送信器は、信号を変調して送信情報信号を生成する変調回路と、投光素子を駆動して該送信情報信号を可視光に重畳させ、青色光成分を含む白色光を可視照明光として照射する灯具と、を備える一方、
該受信器は、該送信器の灯具から照射された青色光成分を含む白色光を受光する受光器と、受光器から出力された受光信号から受信情報信号を生成する受信回路と、を備え、
該受光器の受光素子として、青色光を最も高感度に受光し受光信号を出力する青色光用フォトダイオードを使用することを特徴とする可視光通信装置。 - 前記変調回路は、信号をPWM変調するPWM変調回路であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の可視光通信装置。
- 前記送信器の灯具は、青色光成分を含む白色光を照明投光する白色発光ダイオードと、該白色発光ダイオードの電源電流を直接抵抗器に流すように、白色発光ダイオードのカソードとグランド間に抵抗器を接続して白色発光ダイオードを駆動する第2駆動回路と、を備え、
該第2駆動回路の入力側には第1駆動回路を接続し、該第1駆動回路にはPWM変調された被変調信号を増幅する増幅回路を設け、該第1駆動回路から出力される送信信号を第2駆動回路の抵抗器の両端に印加することを特徴とする請求項2記載の可視光通信装置。 - 前記受信器の受信回路は、受光信号を増幅した後、波形整形して矩形波信号とし、該矩形波信号をローパスフィルターに通してアナログの受信情報信号を出力することを特徴とする請求項2記載の可視光通信装置。
