Abstract
【解決手段】パネル上の所定数の画素のTFTのゲート電圧対ドレイン電流特性(Vgs‐Id特性)を測定し、平均的な画素の特性をId=(a(Vgs−b))cというべき乗の関数で近似する(S1〜S3)。次に、全画素を測定し、各画素に固有なa‘とb’とを用いて各々Id=(a‘(Vgs−b’))cというべき乗の関数で近似する(S4,S5)。もとめたa,b,c,a‘,b’より、各画素の補正データを演算する。

[数1] I1=f(a(Vgs1−b))=f(a‘(Vgs2−b’))
すなわち、
[数2] a(Vgs1−b)=a’(Vgs2−b’)
の関係が成り立つ電圧Vgs2を入力する必要がある。
[数3] d2=(a/a’)d1+k(b’−(ab/a’))
すなわち、d1に対しゲインとしてa/a’を乗算し、オフセットとしてk(b’−(ab/a’))を加算することにより、目的の電流I1を得ることができる。
[数4] Id=WμCi(Vgs−Vth)2/2L
[数5] e(Vi)=(a(Vi−b))c−Ii
の2乗和をJとすると、Jは、

で示される。このJが最小となるようにa,b及びcを決定すればよい。

Claims (3)
- 表示の際に、入力信号と、各画素の輝度のばらつきを補正するための補正データとで演算を行い輝度ムラの補正を行う、ムラ補正機能を備えた有機EL表示装置のムラ補正データ取得方法であって、
前記補正データの採集時に、
パネル上の全ての画素のTFTのゲート電圧対ドレイン電流特性(Vgs‐Id特性)を、全ての画素に共通なcの値と、各画素に固有なaとbとを用いてId=(a(Vgs−b))cというべき乗の関数で近似し、補正データを求める有機EL表示装置の補正データ取得方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法を用いて取得したムラ補正データを記憶しておき、表示の際に入力信号と前記補正データとで演算を行い輝度ムラの補正を行う、
ムラ補正機能を備えた有機EL表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載の方法を用いてムラ補正データを取得し、取得した補正データを、表示の際に表示データと前記補正データとで演算を行い輝度ムラの補正を行う、ムラ補正機能を備えた有機EL表示装置のムラ補正データの記憶手段に記憶させる、有機EL表示装置の製造方法。
