Abstract
【解決手段】フィルタ20は,金網を幅方向に延びる稜線7と溝6から成る波板状帯体3に成形し,それを螺旋状に巻き上げた又は積層した柱状体4の担体1に構成されている。担体1の柱状体4には,一端面9から他端面10へと重なった帯体8間の溝6に沿ってハニカム通路5の屈折路16及び/又は平行路17が多数形成される。排気ガス通路19内の上流側の担体1AにはNOX 還元触媒が担持され,下流側の担体1Bには酸化触媒又はNOX 触媒が担持されている。

Description
前記担体が前記ケース内の排気ガス流れ方向に少なくとも2個直列に配設され,前記担体の上流には還元剤を前記排気ガス通路に供給する還元剤供給手段が設けられ,前記担体が金網を波板状に折り曲げて成形した波板状帯体を筒状に巻き上げて形成された柱状体から構成され,前記波板状帯体が前記柱状体の軸方向に対してジグザグな傾き状又はストレート状に平行に延びる多数の稜線と該稜線間の溝とを備えており,前記柱状体には前記溝に沿って多数のハニカム通路が形成されていることを特徴とする排気ガス浄化装置に関する。

Claims (5)
- 排気ガス通路を形成するケース内に配設された担体を備えたフィルタに排気ガスを通して前記排気ガス中の粒子状物質,スート,NOX ,HC等の有害物質を燃焼や酸化・還元によって消失させて前記排気ガスを浄化する排気ガス浄化装置において, 前記担体は前記ケース内の排気ガス流れ方向に少なくとも2個直列に配設され,前記担体の上流には還元剤を前記排気ガス通路に供給する還元剤供給手段が設けられ,前記担体は金網を波板状に折り曲げて成形した波板状帯体を筒状に巻き上げて形成された柱状体から構成され,前記波板状帯体は前記柱状体の軸方向に対してジグザグな傾き状又はストレート状に平行に延びる多数の稜線と該稜線間の溝とを備えており,前記柱状体は前記溝に沿って多数のハニカム通路が形成されていることを特徴とする排気ガス浄化装置。
- 前記フィルタにおける上流側の前記柱状体を構成する前記担体にはNOX 還元触媒が担持されており,下流側の前記柱状体を構成する前記担体には酸化触媒又はNOX 触媒が担持されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の排気ガス浄化装置。
- 前記フィルタにおける上流側の前記柱状体を構成する前記担体に担持された前記触媒として少なくとも銀を用い,下流側の前記柱状体を構成する前記担体に担持された前記触媒として少なくとも白金を用いていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の排気ガス浄化装置。
- 前記フィルタにおける下流側の前記柱状体を構成する前記担体は,前記稜線が前記柱状体の軸方向に傾き状に延びて前記排気ガス中の前記粒子状物質を捕集して焼却することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の排気ガス浄化装置。
- 前記柱状体は,前記稜線の傾き方向が互いに異なる状態に前記波板状帯体を重ね合わせて巻き上げるか,又は前記波板状帯体と前記金網を平らに成形した平板状帯体とを重ね合わせて巻き上げて形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の排気ガス浄化装置。
