Abstract
【解決手段】画像読取装置は、原稿の主走査方向に沿って配置されて、該原稿を照明する複数の点光源201を有する照明光源と、該照明光源によって照明された原稿の画像を読み取る読取手段とを備える。複数の点光源201は複数のブロック101a,101b…に分けられ、ブロック毎に点光源を点灯させる駆動回路104a,104b…のうちの任意の駆動回路が故障した際に、故障した駆動回路以外のブロックの光量を補正する。

Claims (4)
- 原稿の主走査方向に沿って複数の発光部が一列に配列された発光部列を複数列有し、前記原稿を照明する照明手段と、
該照明手段によって照明された原稿の画像を読み取る読取手段と、
前記照明手段の少なくとも1つの発光部が発光しないことを検知する検知手段と、
前記検知手段により前記照明手段の少なくとも1つの発光部が発光しないことが検知されたことに応じて、発光しない発光部に対向する発光部の光量を、前記検知手段により前記照明手段の少なくとも1つの発光部が発光しないことが検知されなかった場合の発光部の光量よりも大きくする制御を行う制御手段、を備える
ことを特徴とする原稿読取装置。 - 前記発光部は複数の発光ダイオードからなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の原稿読取装置。
- 前記制御手段は、前記読取手段によるシェーディング補正板の読み取りレベルに基づいて前記検知手段により検知される発光しない発光部を特定する、
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の原稿読取装置。 - 前記照明手段は、2つの発光部列が対向して主走査方向に平行して設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の原稿読取装置。
