Description

The present invention relates to a vehicle body rear structure of a vehicle, and more particularly to a structure in which strength and rigidity of a joint portion between a rear pillar and a rear header of a back door opening are increased together with a rear fender.

Conventionally, in a one-box type vehicle such as a van or a wagon, a back door opening is generally formed at the rear of the vehicle body, and a pair of left and right side edges, an upper edge, and a lower edge of the back door opening. Are formed by a pair of left and right rear pillars, a rear header, and a rear end member. Both ends of the rear header in the vehicle width direction are coupled to the upper ends of the pair of rear pillars, and the rear end members of the pair of rear pillars are coupled to the lower ends. Both ends in the vehicle width direction are joined.

In addition, a pair of left and right roof side rails, a rear fender, and a rear tire house are provided at the rear of the vehicle body. A rear suspension is connected to the rear suspension tower, and a load is input from the rear suspension. Is transmitted from the rear tire house to the rear fender, the back door opening and the like.

By the way, in a vehicle having a back door opening, it is important to increase the rigidity of the back door opening in order to increase the torsional rigidity of the vehicle body and improve the handling stability. The pair of rear pillars, the rear header, and the rear end member are configured such that their closed cross-sectional structures are connected in series in a substantially annular shape, and many rear pillars or the like are provided with reinforcements.

Here, as in Patent Document 1, the rear pillar is disposed in a rearwardly downwardly inclined manner between the rear side door opening and the rear window opening, and is directly connected to the rear tire house. The pillar reinforcement of the rear pillar is a rear pillar. And the inner member of the pillar reinforcement to form a closed cross-sectional structure, the upper end of the pillar reinforcement is connected to the roof panel, and the lower end of the pillar reinforcement is the outer tire housing. Structures coupled to members are known.

In a vehicle having a back door opening, in order to increase the rigidity of the back door opening, the pair of rear pillars, the rear header, and the rear end member of the back door opening are connected in a series of substantially closed cross-sectional structures. Although some rear pillars have reinforcements, this alone can sufficiently increase the rigidity of the back door opening, that is, the torsional rigidity of the vehicle body, and sufficiently improve the steering stability. It can be difficult.

In particular, stress concentration due to the load from the rear suspension input to the back door opening occurs at the joint between the rear pillar and the rear header, and thus it is necessary to reinforce firmly in order to solve the above problem.

Also, in a vehicle having a back door opening, the lower end of the rear pillar is located behind the rear tire house and is not directly coupled to the rear tire house, but is connected to the rear tire house via a rear fender. In order to sufficiently improve the steering stability, it is also important to sufficiently increase the rigidity of the rear fender.

In the structure of Patent Document 1, since the rear pillar is disposed in a downwardly inclined manner between the rear side door opening and the rear window opening and is directly connected to the rear tire house, a vehicle having a back door opening is provided. Unlike the rear vehicle body structure, the rear fender of a vehicle having a back door opening cannot be sufficiently enhanced in rigidity.

The object of the present invention is to increase the rigidity of the rear door and to strengthen the joint between the rear pillar and the rear header of the back door opening, thereby increasing its strength and rigidity. The torsional rigidity of the vehicle can be improved, and the vehicle body rear structure can be improved.

The rear body structure of the vehicle according to claim 1 is a rear pillar having a pair of closed cross-sectional structures forming left and right side edges of a back door opening of the vehicle, and both ends in the vehicle width direction are coupled to the upper end portions of the rear pillars. And a rear header having a closed cross-sectional structure that forms an upper edge of the back door opening, and a vertical direction along the outer surface of the inner member of the rear fender coupled to the inner member of the rear pillar. A tire house reinforcing member that is connected to an inner member of the rear fender and an outer member of the rear tire house to form a closed cross-sectional structure in cooperation with the inner member of the rear fender, Pillar reinforcement that forms a closed cross-section structure in cooperation with the inner member of the rear fender above the tire house reinforcing member A, characterized in that said tire house reinforcement member and the rear headers are connected through a series of closed cross the pillar reinforcement.

In this vehicle body rear structure, the inner member of the rear fender is coupled to the inner member of the rear pillar, and the tire house reinforcing member is disposed so as to extend in the vertical direction along the outer surface of the inner member of the rear fender. The inner member and the outer member of the rear tire house are coupled to form a closed cross-sectional structure in cooperation with the inner member of the rear fender, and the pillar reinforcement of the rear pillar is disposed above the tire house reinforcing member. A closed cross-section structure is formed in cooperation with the member, and the tire house reinforcing member and the rear header are connected by a pillar reinforcement through a series of closed cross-section structures.

The load from the rear suspension is input to the rear fender and the back door opening, and stress concentration due to the load from the rear suspension input to the back door opening occurs at the joint between the rear pillar and the rear header. The reinforcement member and the rear header are connected by a pillar reinforcement through a series of closed cross-sectional structures, so that the load from the rear suspension can be reliably received and effective at the joint between the rear pillar and the rear header. In addition to being transmitted, the rigidity of the rear fender is increased, the strength and rigidity of the joint portion between the rear pillar and the rear header is increased, and the rigidity of the back door opening is increased.

The following configurations can be adopted as the dependent claims. The upper part of the pillar reinforcement forms a closed sectional structure in cooperation with the inner member of the rear fender, and the upper part of the pillar reinforcement is coupled to the rear header, the roof side rail, and the tire house reinforcing member ( Claim 2). The rear header includes an upper member and a lower member, and a hinge reinforcement to which a back door hinge is attached, and these members cooperate to form at least a part of a closed cross-sectional structure of the rear header (claim). 3). A rain bulge that bulges toward the upper member of the rear header is provided at an outer end portion of the hinge reinforcement in the vehicle width direction.

According to the vehicle body rear structure of the vehicle according to claim 1, the rear fender inner member and the rear tire house are arranged so as to extend vertically along the outer surface of the inner member of the rear fender coupled to the inner member of the rear pillar. A tire house reinforcing member coupled to the outer member of the rear fender to form a closed cross-sectional structure in cooperation with the inner member of the rear fender, and the rear pillar cooperates with the inner member of the rear fender above the tire house reinforcing member. A pillar reinforcement that forms a closed cross-section structure is connected, and the tire house reinforcing member and the rear header are connected via a series of closed cross-section structures by the pillar reinforcement.

In other words, the load from the rear suspension is input to the rear fender and the back door opening, and the stress concentration due to the load from the rear suspension input to the back door opening occurs at the joint between the rear pillar and the rear header. The tire house reinforcement member further utilizes a pillar reinforcement to connect the tire house reinforcement member and the rear header through a series of closed cross-sectional structures by the pillar reinforcement, thereby reducing the load from the rear suspension. It can be securely received and transmitted to the joint between the rear pillar and the rear header, and the rigidity of the rear fender is increased, and the strength and rigidity of the joint between the rear pillar and the rear header is increased, thereby improving the rigidity of the back door opening. In other words, it is possible to increase the torsional rigidity of the vehicle body and improve steering stability. That.

According to the vehicle body rear part structure of the vehicle according to claim 2, since the upper part of the pillar reinforcement forms a closed cross-section structure in cooperation with the inner member of the rear fender, the upper part of the pillar reinforcement is used, An effect similar to that of the first aspect can be achieved.

According to the vehicle body rear part structure of the vehicle according to claim 3, the rear header has an upper member and a lower member, and a hinge reinforcement to which the back door hinge is attached, and these members cooperate to close the rear header. Since at least a part of the cross-sectional structure is formed, a hinge reinforcement with high strength and rigidity is used, so this hinge reinforcement is used to reliably increase the rigidity of the rear header and the rear pillar. The strength and rigidity of the joint between the rear header and the rear header can be reliably increased.

According to the vehicle body rear part structure of the vehicle according to the fourth aspect of the present invention, since the rain bulge portion is provided at the outer end portion of the hinge reinforcement in the vehicle width direction so as to approach the upper member of the rear header. The rigidity of the force can be reliably increased, and the rain ridge can be securely coupled to the upper member of the rear header, so that the strength and rigidity of the joint between the rear pillar and the rear header can be further increased.

In the vehicle body rear structure of the present invention, the pair of left and right side edges and the upper edge of the back door opening are respectively a rear pillar having a pair of left and right closed cross sections and a rear header having a closed cross section. The upper end of the pair of rear pillars is joined to both ends of the rear header in the vehicle width direction, and the tire house reinforcing member is vertically moved along the outer surface of the inner member of the rear fender joined to the inner member of the rear pillar. The rear pillar is connected to the inner member of the rear fender and the outer member of the rear tire house to form a closed sectional structure in cooperation with the inner member of the rear fender. A pillar reinforcement that forms a closed cross-sectional structure in cooperation with an inner member of the rear fender, and a tire house reinforcing member, a rear header, It is connected through a series of closed cross the pillar reinforcement.

Here, the vehicle body rear structure 1 includes a pair of left and right tire house reinforcing members 13. The tire house reinforcing member 13 is disposed so as to extend in the vertical direction along the outer surface of the inner member 8a of the rear fender 8 coupled to the inner member 20 of the rear pillar 3, and the inner member 8a of the rear fender 8 and the rear tire house. The outer member 55 is connected to the inner member 8a of the rear fender 8 to form a closed cross-sectional structure.

The tire house reinforcing member 13 is formed in a U-shaped cross section, the flange 13a at the inner end in the vehicle width direction is coupled to the outer surface of the inner member 8a of the rear fender 8, and the flange 13b at the lower end is the outer member of the rear tire house 9. The upper part of the pillar rain 22 forms a closed cross-sectional structure in cooperation with the inner member 8a of the rear fender 8, and is coupled to the rear header 4, the roof side rail 6, and the tire house reinforcing member 13.

The rear header 4 includes an upper member 34 and a lower member 31 and a hinge rain 32 to which a back door hinge is attached. These members 31, 32, and 34 cooperate to form at least one of the closed sectional structure of the rear header 4. A rain raised portion 84 is formed at the outer end portion of the hinge rain 32 in the vehicle width direction so as to rise so as to approach the upper member 34 of the rear header 4. Here, the hinge rain 32 at the outer end portion of the rear header 4 in the vehicle width direction and the front portion and the rear portion of the upper portion of the pillar rain 22 cooperate to form two closed cross-sectional structures.

The effect of the vehicle body rear portion structure 1 described above will be described.

In the joint portion 60 between the rear pillar 3 and the rear end member 5, stress concentration occurs due to the load from the rear suspension input to the back door opening 2, but the closed cross-sectional space 61 of the joint portion 60 is doubled. In addition, since the joint portions 60 and 63 are provided in both the pillar rain 22 and the inner member 40 of the rear end member 5 in the joint portion 60, the joint portion 60 is very strongly reinforced to increase its strength and rigidity. The joints 62 and 63 can be formed using the lower end of the pillar rain 22 and the outer end of the inner member 40 of the rear end member 5 in the vehicle width direction. An increase in vehicle weight can be suppressed. Further, by providing the joint portions 62 and 63 on both of the inner members of the rear end member 5 of the pillar rain 22, the pillar rain 22 and the inner member 40 of the rear end member 5 can be smoothly connected.

The inner member 20 of the rear pillar 3 and the outer member 41 of the rear end member 5 at the coupling portion 60 wrap in the vehicle width direction, and the nodes 62 and 63 are positioned in the closed cross-sectional space 61 including the wrap portion. Therefore, in this connecting portion 60, the connection between the inner members 20 and 40 of the rear pillar 3 and the rear end member 5 and the connection between the pillar rain 22 and the outer member 41 of the rear end member 5 are smoothly performed. The inner member 20 and the outer member 41 of the rear end member 5 can reliably form a closed section space 61, and the nodes 62 and 63 can be arranged so as to reliably partition the closed section space 61.

Since the node portions 62 and 63 are formed in an inclined shape that moves rearward in the vehicle width direction outward direction, the positions of the inner side end portion and the outer side end portion of the node portions 62 and 63 in the vehicle width direction in the coupling portion 60 are set. By shifting, it is possible to avoid concentration of weak parts in strength, and the strength and rigidity of the joint 60 between the rear pillar 3 and the rear end member 5 can be reliably increased.

As a modification, the node 62 or 63 is provided only on one of the pillar rain 22 and the inner member 40 of the rear end member 5, and the other node 63 or 62 of the pillar rain 22 and the inner member 40 of the rear end member 5 is omitted. May be. When the node portion 62 is provided only in the pillar rain 22, the node portion 62 may be formed in an inclined shape that moves forward in the vehicle width direction outward.

Next, the load from the rear suspension is intensively input from the suspension tower reinforcing member 12 to the joint portion 70 of the rear pillar 3 with the suspension tower reinforcement member 12, but the closed cross-section space 71 in the vicinity of the joint portion 70 is partitioned. As described above, since the node portion 72 is provided in the pillar rain 22 which forms a part of the closed cross-sectional structure of the rear pillar 3, the vicinity of the coupling portion 70 is strongly reinforced to increase its strength and rigidity. The rear pillar 3 that is provided can reliably receive an input load from the suspension tower reinforcing member 12 and can be reliably transmitted to other members such as the rear header 4. Further, the joint 72 is formed using the pillar rain 22. Therefore, increase in the number of parts and vehicle weight can be suppressed.

The pillar rain 22 is composed of a pillar rain upper 22a and a pillar rain lower 22b that are arranged and coupled vertically, and the node 72 is formed at the lower end of the pillar rain upper 22a. Therefore, the lower end of the pillar rain upper 22a is utilized. The joint 72 can be easily formed. The joint 72 is easily provided in the middle of the pillar rain 22 in the longitudinal direction, and the closed section space 71 in the vicinity of the joint 70 with the suspension tower reinforcing member 12 of the rear pillar 3 is provided. The rear pillar 3 can effectively transmit a particularly upward input load from the suspension tower reinforcing member 12 to the rear header 4.

Since the upper part of the pillar rain 22 is coupled to the rear header 4 and the roof side rail 6, the input load from the suspension tower reinforcing member 12 is coupled to the rear pillar 3 to the rear header 4 and the roof side rail 6 with high strength and rigidity. Can be transmitted reliably.

In this case, a hinge rain 32 to which a back door hinge is attached is formed by forming a part of the closed sectional structure of the rear header 4, and the upper portion of the pillar rain 22 is coupled to the hinge rain 32, so that the hinge rain having high strength and rigidity is high. 32, the coupling strength of the pillar rain 22 to the hinge rain 32 can be increased, and the input load from the suspension tower reinforcing member 12 can be effectively transmitted to the rear header 4 and reliably received.

As a modification, instead of forming the node 72 at the lower end of the pillar rain upper 22a, a node may be formed at the upper end of the pillar rain lower 22b. The joint 72 may be coupled to the outer member 21 of the rear pillar 3. A node member may be formed by separately fixing a node member in the middle of the pillar rain upper 22a or the pillar rain lower 22b in the length direction. In this case, the pillar rain 22 may be formed by integrally forming the pillar rain upper 22a and the pillar rain lower 22b.

Next, stress concentration due to the load from the rear suspension input to the back door opening 2 occurs at the joint 80 between the rear pillar 3 and the rear header 4, but the rear header 4 is at both ends in the vehicle width direction. The hinge rain 32 has a pair of hinge rains 32 to which the back door hinges are respectively attached. Since the upper end portion of the inner member 30 of the rear pillar 3 joined to the roof side rail 6 is joined to the hinge rain 32, the hinge rain 32 has a strength. Since a material having high rigidity is applied, the strength and rigidity of the coupling portion 80 can be increased, and the support rigidity of the hinge rain 32 (back door) can be increased to reliably reduce vibration noise.

An inner raised portion 81 having a hat-shaped cross section is provided at the inner end portion in the vehicle width direction of the upper end portion of the inner member 20 of the rear pillar 3, and the hinge rain 32 is coupled to the inner raised portion 81, so that the upper end of the inner member 20 of the rear pillar 3 is In addition to increasing the rigidity of the portion, the inner member 20 of the rear pillar 3 and the hinge rain 32 can be securely connected to each other, and the inner node 81a can be formed by the inner raised portion 81. Therefore, the strength and rigidity of the connecting portion 80 are increased. be able to.

Since the raised portions 82 and 83 having a hat-like cross section formed on the pillar rain 22 and the hinge rain 32 respectively positioned outside the inner member 20 of the rear pillar 3 are overlapped and continuously coupled, the pillar rain 22 and the hinge rain are combined. 32, the rigidity of the coupling part 80 between the rear pillar 3 and the rear header 4 is more reliably increased, and the support rigidity of the hinge rain 32 is reliably increased. Further, since the inner ridge 81 is overlapped and coupled to the ridge 82 of the hinge rain 32 extending inward in the vehicle width direction from the coupling portion of both the ridges 82 and 83, the ridge of the hinge rain 32 is coupled. Using the portion 82, the upper end portion of the inner member 20 of the rear pillar 3 can be reliably coupled to the hinge rain 32.

Since the rain rain portion 84 is provided in the hinge rain 32 so as to be positioned in front of the inner bump portion 81 and so as to approach the upper member 34 of the rear header 4, the rigidity of the hinge rain 32 is further enhanced. The rain raised portion 84 can be coupled to the upper member 34 of the rear header 4, and the strength and rigidity of the coupling portion 80 between the rear pillar 3 and the rear header 4 can be further increased.

Since the inner node portion 81a formed by the inner raised portion 81 and the rain node portion 84a formed by the rain raised portion 84 are configured to be positioned substantially front and rear, the inner raised portion 81 and the rain raised portion 84 are formed. The joints 80 of the rear pillar 3 and the rear header 4 can be reliably increased by the joint portions 81a and 84a.

Next, the inner member 8a of the rear fender 8 coupled to the inner member 20 of the rear pillar 3 is disposed so as to extend vertically along the outer surface of the inner member 8a of the rear fender 8, and the inner member 8a of the rear fender 8 and the outer member of the rear tire house 9 are disposed. 55, a tire house reinforcing member 13 that forms a closed cross-section structure in cooperation with the inner member 8a of the rear fender 8 is provided. The rear pillar 3 has an inner member of the rear fender 8 above the tire house reinforcing member 13. A pillar rain 22 that forms a closed cross-sectional structure in cooperation with 8a is provided, and the tire house reinforcing member 13 and the rear header 4 are connected by the pillar rain 22 through a series of closed cross-sectional structures.

That is, the load from the rear suspension is input to the rear fender 8 and the back door opening 2, and the joint 80 between the rear pillar 3 and the rear header 4 is caused by the load from the rear suspension input to the back door opening 2. Although stress concentration occurs, the tire house reinforcing member 13 and the pillar rain 22 are used to connect the tire house reinforcing member 13 and the rear header 4 via the pillar rain 22 through a series of closed cross-sectional structures. The load from the rear suspension can be reliably received and effectively transmitted to the joint 80 between the rear pillar 3 and the rear header 4, and the rigidity of the rear fender 8 can be increased, and the joint 80 between the rear pillar 3 and the rear header 4. Strength and rigidity can be increased.

Since the upper front portion of the pillar rain 22 forms a closed cross-sectional structure in cooperation with the inner member 8a of the rear fender 8, the above effect can be achieved by using the pillar rain 22.

The rear header 4 includes an upper member 34 and a lower member 31 and a hinge rain 32 to which a back door hinge is attached. These members 31, 32, and 34 cooperate to form at least one of the closed sectional structure of the rear header 4. Because the hinge rain 32 is made of a material having high strength and rigidity, the hinge rain 32 is used to reliably increase the rigidity of the rear header 4, and the rear pillar 3 and the rear header 4 The strength and rigidity of the joint 80 can be reliably increased.

In addition, since the rain ridge 81 that protrudes toward the upper member 34 of the rear header 4 is provided at the outer end portion of the hinge rain 32 in the vehicle width direction, the strength and rigidity of the hinge rain 32 are reliably increased. Thus, the rain protruding portion 81 can be securely coupled to the upper member 34 of the rear header 4, and the rigidity of the rear fender 8 is further increased, and the strength and rigidity of the coupling portion 80 between the rear pillar 3 and the rear header 4 is further increased. Can do.

Here, the load from the rear suspension is applied to the first path including the front portion of the upper portion of the tire house reinforcing member 13 and the pillar rain 22 and the portion other than the front portion of the upper portion of the suspension tower reinforcing member 12 and the pillar rain 22. Since it can be dispersed and effectively transmitted to the joint 80 between the rear pillar 3 and the rear header 4 by the second path including, the increase of the plate thickness of each member (sustower reinforcing member 12, tire house reinforcing member 13, etc.) is increased. Thus, the rigidity of the rear fender 8 can be increased, and further, the strength and rigidity of the joint 80 between the rear pillar 3 and the rear header 4 can be increased.

As a modification, the front portion of the upper portion of the pillar rain 22 may be omitted, and a portion corresponding to the upper portion of the pillar rain 22 may be formed by extending the tire house reinforcing member 13 upward.

Thus, according to the vehicle body rear structure 1 of the present invention, the rigidity of the back door opening 2 (rear pillar 3, rear header 4, rear end member 5) and the rigidity of the rear fender 8 are greatly increased, and the torsional rigidity of the vehicle body is increased. Can be sufficiently increased, and the steering stability can be sufficiently improved.

In addition, various modifications other than those disclosed above can be added without departing from the spirit of the present invention, and the present invention can be applied to a vehicle body such as various automobiles having a back door opening.
