Abstract
外科手術に使用されるモノポーラハンドピースおよびバイポーラハンドピースに必要なパワー、周波数及び手術モード波形の電子外科手術電流を、簡単かつ確実に供給する電子外科手術機器、及びその電子外科手術電流による患者処置方法を提供する。
【解決手段】
電子外科手術機器10は、3つの異なるキャリア周波数、及び4つの電子外科手術モード変調波形を合成した高品質RFエネルギーキャリアを発生して、モノポーラハンドピース26又はバイポーラハンドピース28へ供給可能に構成されている。好適な実施の形態では、第1キャリア周波数は、約3.8〜4.0MHzレンジであり、第2キャリア周波数は、約1.7〜2.0MHzレンジであり、第3キャリア周波数は、約400〜600kHzレンジである。

Claims (11)
- 電子外科手術電流を異なるキャリア周波数かつ異なる電子外科手術モードで選択的に提供して、モノポーラハンドピース及びバイポーラハンドピースを動作させる電子外科手術機器において、
(a)機器コンソールを備え、このコンソール内には
(b)第1周波数、第1周波数とは異なる第2周波数、及び前記第1周波数及び前記第2周波数とは異なる第3周波数のキャリアを発生するRFパワー発生回路と、
(c)前記コンソールに設けられ、前記モノポーラハンドピースを受ける第1電気コネクタと、
(d)前記コンソールに設けられ、前記バイポーラハンドピースを受ける第2電気コネクタと、
(e)変調回路手段であって、
(i)前記キャリアの1つと合成されると、細胞組織のCUT手術を可能にする第1変調波形を発生し、
(ii)前記キャリアの1つと合成されると、細胞組織のCUT/COAG手術を可能にする第2変調波形を発生し、
(iii)前記キャリアの1つと合成されると、細胞組織のHEMO手術を可能にする第3変調波形を発生し、
(iv)前記キャリアの1つと合成されると、FULGURATE手術を可能にする第4変調波形を発生する変調回路手段と、
(f)前記第1周波数のキャリアを、それぞれ前記第1、第2、第3及び第4変調波形と合成して、第1、第2、第3及び第4電子外科手術モード電流を形成し、前記第1電気コネクタ、又は前記第2電気コネクタへ選択的に供給する第1手段と、
(g)前記第2周波数のキャリアを、それぞれ前記第1、第2、第3及び第4変調波形と合成して、前記第2周波数の第5、第6、第7及び第8電子外科手術モード電流を形成し、前記第1電気コネクタ、又は前記第2電気コネクタへ選択的に供給する第2手段と、
(h)前記第3周波数のキャリアを、それぞれ前記第1、第2、第3及び第4変調波形と合成して、前記第3周波数の第9、第10、第11及び第12電子外科手術モード電流を形成し、前記第1電気コネクタ、又は前記第2電気コネクタへ選択的に供給する第3手段とを備え、
前記第1電気コネクタに接続された前記モノポーラハンドピースは、前記3つの異なるキャリア周波数の4つの異なる電子外科手術モード電流で選択的に動作することができ、かつ前記第2電気コネクタに接続された前記バイポーラハンドピースは、前記3つの異なるキャリア周波数の4つの異なる電子外科手術モード電流で、選択的に動作することができるようになっていることを特徴とする電子外科手術機器。 - 前記コンソールに接続され、前記RFパワー発生回路のON/OFF機能を有するフットスイッチを、更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電子外科手術機器。
- 前記第1キャリア周波数は、前記第2及び第3キャリア周波数よりも高いことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の電子外科手術機器。
- 前記第1及び第2周波数は、MHzレンジであり、前記第3周波数は、kHzレンジであることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の電子外科手術機器。
- 前記第1周波数は、約3.8〜4.0MHzレンジであり、前記第2周波数は約1.7〜2.0MHzレンジであり、前記第3周波数は、約400〜600kHzレンジであることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の電子外科手術機器。
- 前記第1周波数は、約4.0MHzであり、前記第2周波数は、約1.7MHzであり、前記第3周波数は、約500kHzであることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の電子外科手術機器。
- 前記モノポーラハンドピースは、前記RFパワー発生回路をON/OFF制御する3個の指スイッチを備えていることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の電子外科手術機器。
- 前記機器コンソールは、前記キャリア周波数を選択する第1スイッチ部、前記モードを選択する第2スイッチ部、及び選択された電子外科手術電流を前記第1又は第2電気コネクタのいずれに供給するかを制御する第3スイッチ部を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の電子外科手術機器。
- 前記第1電気コネクタに接続されたモノポーラハンドピース、前記第2電気コネクタに接続されたバイポーラハンドピース、及び前記コンソールに接続されるフットスイッチを更に備えることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の電子外科手術機器。
- モノポーラハンドピース及びバイポーラハンドピースを有する請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の電子外科手術機器からの電子外科手術電流により、患者を処置する方法において、
(a)前記電子外科手術機器は、第1キャリア周波数と選択的に合成された第1、第2、第3又は第4モードの電子外科手術電流を選択的に発生するように動作させるステップ、又は
(b)前記電子外科手術機器は、第2キャリア周波数と合成された第1、第2、第3又は第4モードの電子外科手術電流を選択的に発生するように動作させるステップ、又は
(c)前記電子外科手術機器は、第3キャリア周波数と合成された第1、第2、第3又は第4モードの電子外科手術電流を選択的に発生するように動作させるステップ、
(d)前記選択されたキャリア周波数と合成された前記選択されたモードを、前記モノポーラ又はバイポーラハンドピースに、選択的に供給するステップ、及び
(e)選択されたハンドピースを患者に当てるステップ
を備えることを特徴とする電子外科手術電流による患者処置方法。 - 前記第1キャリア周波数は、約3.8〜4.0MHzであり、前記第2キャリア周波数は、約1.7〜2.0MHzであり、前記第3キャリア周波数は、約400〜600kHzであることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
