Description

Claims (28)
- 近位端を有する近位部分および遠位端を有する遠位部分を含むとともに縦軸に沿って延在する管腔を画定する長形シャフトを備え、
前記シャフトの近位部分は、前記近位端の近傍に配置されたフレア部を含み、該フレア部は外方へ、且つ前記シャフトの縦軸に対して斜めに広げられている医療用カテーテル。 - 前記シャフトは、前記管腔を画定する内面を画定し、前記フレア部内におけるシャフトの内面が前記縦軸から離れて斜めに、且つ近位に延在するように前記フレア部が広げられている請求項1に記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 前記シャフトは、前記管腔を画定する内面を画定し、前記シャフトの近位部分は、前記フレア部の遠位に配置された第2の部分を含み、該第2の部分内における前記シャフトの内面は前記縦軸に対して第1の方向に延在し、前記フレア部内におけるシャフトの内面は外方へ、且つ前記第1の方向に対して斜めに延在している請求項1または請求項2に記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 前記第1の方向が前記シャフトの前記縦軸と平行に延在している請求項3に記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 前記管腔は、前記シャフトに沿ってより遠位な地点での前記管腔の直径よりも大きな直径を前記シャフトの前記近位端にて有する請求項1から請求項4のいずれかに記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 前記フレア部は近位端と遠位端とを含み、前記フレア部の口広げ加工のために、フレア部の近位端の近傍における管腔の内径は、フレア部の遠位端の近傍における前記管腔の内径よりも大きい請求項1から請求項5のいずれかに記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 前記フレア部は、近に、かつ外方へ略線形に、広げられているか、またはテーパー処理されている請求項1から請求項6のいずれかに記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 前記フレア部は、曲線状に広げられているか、または段階的に広げられている請求項1から請求項6のいずれかに記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 前記フレア部は、前記シャフトの残部に沿った管腔の内径よりも大きい内径を有する口を画定する請求項1から請求項8のいずれかに記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 前記シャフトの管腔と流体連通しているハブ管腔を含む、シャフトの近位端に結合されたハブを更に備え、前記ハブは、シャフトのフレア部内において少なくとも部分的に配置される、前記ハブから延在する1つ以上の突出部を含む請求項1から請求項9のいずれかに記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 前記ハブは、前記ハブ管腔と流体連通している遠位開口を画定し、前記1つ以上の突出部は、遠位開口の周りに環状に延在している請求項10に記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 前記ハブは、前記ハブ内に画定された1つ以上の窪み部分を含み、シャフトのフレア部は、前記窪み部分内に少なくとも部分的に配置されている請求項10または請求項11に記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 前記ハブは、前記ハブ管腔と流体連通している遠位開口を画定し、前記1つ以上の窪み部分は、前記遠位開口の周りに環状に延在している請求項12に記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 前記ハブは、紫外線硬化型接着剤を使用して前記シャフトの近位端に結合されている請求項10から請求項13のいずれかに記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 前記長形シャフトは、
近位部分と遠位部分とを含むとともに外面と管腔とを画定する長形内管状部材であって、高分子材料の第1の層と補強部材とを含む前記長形内管状部材と、
外面と内面とを有する長形外管状部材であって、前記外面内に画定される複数の開口を含み、前記内管状部材の外面の少なくとも一部が前記外部材の内面から離間されるように前記内管状部材の周りに配置される前記長形外管状部材とを備える請求項1から請求項14のいずれかに記載の医療用カテーテル。 - 前記長形シャフトは、
近位部分および遠位部分を含むとともに外面および管腔を画定する長形内管状部材と、
近位端および遠位端を有するとともに内面および外面を画定し、且つ前記外面内に画定された複数の開口を含み、外管状部材の遠位端が、該遠位端の近傍における外管状部材の少なくとも1つの他の部分に沿った外径よりも小さい外径を有する小径部分を含む長形外管状部材であって、前記内管状部材の遠位部分に前記外管状部材がないように、且つ前記近位部の一部に沿って内管状部材の外面と外管状部材の内面との間に空間が形成されるように内管状部材の周りに配置される前記外管状部材と、
前記内管状部材の遠位部分と外管状部材の遠位端とに結合された遠位先端構造体とを備え、
前記遠位先端構造体の少なくとも一部は外管状部材の小径部分と重なり合っている請求項1から請求項15のいずれかに記載の医療用カテーテル。 - 医療用具の用途に使用されるハブであって、
近位端を有する近位部分および遠位端を有する遠位部分を含む本体と、
前記近位部分内に画定された管腔と、
前記遠位部分内に画定されたポケットとを備え、
前記管腔および前記ポケットは、該管腔とポケットとの間の接合部にて画定された開口を介して流体連通しており、
前記ハブは、前記本体内で前記開口の周りに画定され、かつ前記ポケット内に延在している1つ以上の突出部と、本体内において前記開口の周りに画定された1つ以上の窪み部分との少なくとも一方を含むハブ。 - 医療用カテーテルの製造方法であって、
縦軸に沿って延在する管腔を画定する長形シャフトを準備する工程であって、前記シャフトは、近位端を有する近位部分および遠位端を有する遠位部分を含み、シャフトの近位部分は、前記近位端の近傍に配置されたフレア部を含み、該フレア部は外方へ、且つ前記シャフトの縦軸に対して斜めに広げられている工程と、
開口を有する管腔を画定するハブ本体を含むハブを準備する工程であって、前記ハブは、本体内において前記開口の周りに画定された1つ以上の突出部と、本体内において開口の周りに画定された1つ以上の窪み部分との少なくとも一方を含む工程と、
前記シャフトの管腔および前記ハブの管腔が流体連通しているように、前記突出部の少なくとも一部の周りにシャフトのフレア部を配置する工程、およびシャフトの管腔およびハブの管腔が流体連通しているように、前記窪み部分の少なくとも一部内にシャフトのフレア部を配置する工程の少なくとも一方の工程と、
前記ハブをシャフトに取り付ける工程とを備える方法。 - 前記ハブは、紫外線硬化型接着剤を使用して前記シャフトに取り付けられる請求項18に記載の方法。
- 請求項18または請求項19に記載の方法に従って製造された医療用カテーテル。
- 縦軸に沿って延在する管腔を画定する長形シャフトを備え、
前記シャフトは、近位端を有する近位部分および遠位端を有する遠位部分を含み、前記シャフトの近位部分は、ハブと合わさる手段を含む医療用カテーテル。 - 近位端を有する近位部分および遠位端を有する遠位部分を含む本体と、
遠位開口を有する、前記本体によって画定された管腔と、
カテーテルの長形シャフトと合わさる手段とを備える、医療用カテーテルとともに使用されるハブ。 - 近位部分および遠位部分を含み、且つ外面および管腔を画定する長形内管状部材であって、高分子材料の第1の層と補強部材とを含む長形内管状部材と、
外面および内面を有し、且つ前記外面内に画定された複数の開口を含む長形外管状部材であって、前記内管状部材の外面の少なくとも一部が前記外部材の内面から離間されるように前記内管状部材の周りに配置される長形外管状部材とを備える医療用カテーテル。 - 前記内管状部材は、高分子材料の1つまたはそれ以上の層を更に含み、前記補強部材は高分子材料の2つの層の間に配置される請求項23に記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 前記外管状部材は、前記内管状部材の遠位部分に前記外管状部材がないように、前記内管状部材の前記近位部分の周りに配置される請求項23または請求項24に記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 近位部分および遠位部分を含むとともに外面および管腔を画定する長形内管状部材と、
近位端および遠位端を有するとともに外面および内面を画定し、且つ前記外面内に画定された複数の開口を含み、外管状部材の遠位端が、該遠位端の近傍における外管状部材の少なくとも1つの他の部分に沿った外径よりも小さい外径を有する小径部分を含む長形外管状部材であって、
前記内管状部材の遠位部分に前記外管状部材がないように、且つ前記近位部の一部に沿って内管状部材の外面と外管状部材の内面との間に空間が形成されるように内管状部材の周りに配置される長形外管状部材と、
前記内管状部材の遠位部分と外管状部材の遠位端とに結合された遠位先端構造体とを備え、
前記遠位先端構造体の少なくとも一部は外管状部材の小径部分と重なり合っている医療用カテーテル。 - 前記先端構造体は、前記内管状部材の遠位部分上に配置された材料の1つまたはそれ以上の層を含む請求項26に記載の医療用カテーテル。
- 前記外管状部材は金属材料を備える請求項26または請求項27に記載の医療用カテーテル。
