Abstract
【解決手段】 本発明の電極は、活性化されていない導電性コアと、この導電性コアに固定された、容易に脱着可能であり且つ交換可能な触媒活性を備えた構成要素、例えば波形シート又はメッシュとを含む。

例
米国特許第6,451,183号に開示されたチューブ状銅電着セルで使用されるセル用の円筒形チタニウムアノードは、厚さが15cmのチタニウム製中空円筒体を含み、当該技術で周知のように、チタニウム及びチタニウム酸化物をベースとしたコーティング(全体として16g/m2 )によって、チタニウム及びチタニウム酸化物をベースとした中間層上で活性化される。アノードについて、25℃の温度の5%の硫酸溶液で、500A/m2 の電流密度で、酸素を発生する標準的な試験を行う。8時間に及ぶ試験中、3.30vの標準的な電圧を検出した(従来技術による電極)。
これによって、本発明の電極は、主に消耗した円筒形電極の再活性化と関連した従来技術の不便さを、非常に実際的な方法で解決することの他、恐らくは露呈された表面が大きいことにより、予想される比較的長い寿命と対応する比較的高いエネルギ効率(低電圧)で作動できる。

Claims (16)
- ガス発生用電極において、
円筒形導電性コア及びこの円筒形導電性コアの外側に電気的に接触するように固定された金属シート又はメッシュを含む、電極。 - 請求項1に記載の電極において、
前記導電性円筒形コアはチタニウム又は他のバルブ金属で形成されている、電極。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の電極において、
前記円筒形コアの直径は、1cm乃至25cmである、電極。 - 請求項1、2、又は3に記載の電極において、
前記金属シート又はメッシュは、塩素、オゾン、又は酸素を発生するための触媒コーティングで活性化されている、電極。 - 請求項1、2、又は3に記載の電極において、
前記金属シート又はメッシュは、高過電圧酸素を発生するための触媒コーティングで活性化されている、電極。 - 請求項1乃至5のうちのいずれか一項に記載の電極において、
前記金属シート又はメッシュは波形シートであり、該波形シートは、元来の直径が前記円筒形コアの直径よりも小さい円筒体を形成するように、前記波形シート自体を巻いて二つの両側に沿って溶接してあり、前記円筒形コアに強制的に被せてある、電極。 - 請求項6に記載の電極において、
巻いて円筒体にし且つ前記導電性コアに被せた前記波形シートは、溶接スポットによって前記導電性コアに固定される、電極。 - 請求項6又は7に記載の電極において、
前記波形シートの厚さは、0.3mm乃至1mmである、電極。 - 請求項1乃至5のうちのいずれか一項に記載の電極において、
前記金属シート又はメッシュの一方の側は、前記円筒形コアに前記円筒形コアの母線に沿って溶接されており、前記シート又はメッシュは前記導電性コアに巻き付けてある、電極。 - 請求項9に記載の電極において、
前記金属シート又はメッシュの厚さは、0.3mm乃至1mmである、電極。 - 請求項1乃至10のうちのいずれか一項に記載の電極をアノードとして酸素を発生する工程を含む、金属電着プロセス。
- 水処理プロセスにおいて、
請求項1乃至10のうちのいずれか一項に記載の電極をアノードとして、酸素、オゾン、又は塩素を発生する工程を含む、水処理プロセス。 - 消耗した触媒コーティングを備えた円筒形電極を再活性化するための方法において、
円筒体を形成するように丸めて二つの両側に沿って溶接した波形シートを前記円筒形電極に被せる工程を含み、前記波形シートは、触媒コーティングを備えている、方法。 - 請求項13に記載の方法において、
前記丸めた波形シートは、前記円筒形電極よりも小径の円筒体を形成する、方法。 - 請求項13又は14に記載の方法において、
前記波形シートを溶接スポットで前記円筒形電極に固定する工程を含む、方法。 - 消耗した触媒コーティングを備えた円筒形電極を再活性化するための方法において、
触媒コーティングを備えた金属シート又はメッシュの縁部を前記円筒形電極の母線に沿って溶接する工程と、
前記金属シート又はメッシュを前記円筒形電極に巻き付ける工程と、
前記金属シート又はメッシュの反対側の縁部を前記溶接した縁部及び/又は前記円筒形電極に溶接スポットによって固定する随意の工程とを含む、方法。
