用できないという問題がもちろんここで存在する。このため、この発明の一実施例に記載するように、端部側全体にわたって金属シートに切抜き部を与えるのではなく、むしろ切抜き部のないセクションを端部側の端縁に設けることが有利であり、このセクションは、複数の接触ポイントが依然として金属シート層の最前の端縁と最後尾の端縁との間に統計的に分布したままであるのに十分に長くかつ十分に頻度が高い。耐久性のあるハニカム体を製造するために、端部側において金属シート層間の各々の個々の接触ポイントをろう付けすることは厳密には必要ではない。金属シート層の端部側の端縁の好適な構成により、成形された金属シート層の結果として金属シート間に理論的に可能である接触ポイントのうちたとえば5%、好ましくは10%を超える接触ポイントが従来の方法を使用してろう付け材料を塗布させ、ろう付けされることが可能である。なぜなら、上記の接触ポイントは平滑な端部側を有するハニカム体における接触ポイントと異ならないためである。

Claims (14)
- 金属シート(2,3)から巻付けられ、撚り合わせられ、および/または層状にされたハニカム体(1)であって、複数の少なくとも部分的に成形された金属シート層(2)を有し、その成形はハニカム体(1)の入口端部側(5)から出口端部側(6)に通じるダクト(4)を形成し、入口端部側(5)および出口端部側(6)の亀裂の入った構造をそれぞれに生成するために、金属シート層(2,3)の少なくとも一部が入口端部側(5)および/または出口端部側(6)における端縁(7,8)に切抜き部(9,10)を有することを特徴とする、ハニカム体(1)。
- ハニカム体(1)は実質的に平滑な金属シート(2)と波形の金属シート(3)とが交互になった層から構築され、平滑な金属シート(2)のみが切抜き部を有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のハニカム体(1)。
- ハニカム体(1)は実質的に平滑な金属シート(2)と波形の金属シート(3)とが交互になった層から構築され、波形の金属シート(3)のみが切抜き部を有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のハニカム体(1)。
- 金属シート(2,3)の少なくとも一部は、多孔質材料、特に圧縮された金属繊維(16)から構成されることを特徴とする、請求項1,2または3に記載のハニカム体。
- 金属シート(2,3)は切抜き部(9,10)のないセクションを端部側の端縁(7,8)に有し、このセクションは、金属シート層(2,3)の最前の端縁(8)と最後尾の端縁(7)との間に統計的に分布した複数の接触ポイント(11)が設けられるのに十分に長くかつ十分に頻度が高いことを特徴とする、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載のハニカム体。
- ハニカム体(1)は金属シート(2,3)の1枚以上の積み重ねから形成され、各々の積み重ねの金属シート(2,3)は長さ(L)および幅(B)を有し、L>Bであり、各々の積み重ねの金属シート(2,3)は各々の場合に長さ(L)にわたって複数の切抜き部(9,10)を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載のハニカム体(1)。
- 切抜き部(9,10)は丸い境界線(12)を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から6のいずれかに記載のハニカム体(1)。
- 切抜き部(9,10)は、円形断面、好ましくは半円形またはより小さな円形断面の形状を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から7のいずれかに記載のハニカム体。
- 80%を超えるダクト(4)、好ましくは90%を超えるダクト(4)は少なくとも1つの端部側(5,6)における少なくとも1つの切抜き部(9,10)の領域で終了することを特徴とする、請求項1から8のいずれかに記載のハニカム体(1)。
- ハニカム体(1)は、内燃機関(20)、特にディーゼルエンジンの排ガス浄化システム(21)の一部であり、内燃機関(20)の排ガスから煤粒子(17)を除去することに貢献することを特徴とする、請求項1から9のいずれかに記載のハニカム体(1)。
- 前記ハニカム体(1)は、金属シート(2,3)にさらなる開口(13)を有し、および/またはダクト(4)に偏向構造(14)を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から10のいずれかに記載のハニカム体(1)。
- 前記ハニカム体(1)は入口端部側(5)に少なくとも1つの空洞(25)を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から11のいずれかに記載のハニカム体(1)。
- ダクト(4)の一部は出口端部側(6)の近くで閉鎖されることを特徴とする、請求項1から12のいずれかに記載のハニカム体(1)。
- 前記ハニカム体(1)は、単位断面積当たり互いに異なる数のダクト(4)を有する複数の部分容積(27,28)を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から13のいずれかに記載のハニカム体(1)。
