Description

より大きな濾過表面面積を有する領域は、前記濾過体の再生を開始するための熱源の付近で動作するよう配置されるように適合され、
前記領域の1つの濾過表面面積は他の領域のそれより少なくとも10%大きく、
濾過体は炭化珪素またはコーディエライトから作られる。
Claims (9)
- ディーゼル・エンジンの排気ガスを浄化する粒子フィルタ用の濾過体において、前記排気ガスが側壁(24、25)を通って濾過させられ、隣接し合った交互に閉じられている通路の複数のブロック(8から23)から成る濾過体であって、前記ブロック(8から23)が、少なくとも第1濾過領域(12から23、27)と第2濾過領域(8から11、26)に配置され、ガス濾過表面面積が、前記濾過体(7)のガス進入表面の単位面積に対して、前記第1濾過領域(12から23、27)と、前記第2濾過領域(8から11、26)とで異なり、前記第1濾過領域と第2濾過領域とで通路の断面形状が異なることを特徴とする濾過体。
- 前記第1濾過領域(12から23)と前記第2濾過領域(8から11)のブロックの通路が、同一のピッチと、異なった厚さの壁を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の濾過体。
- 前記第1濾過領域(12から23)と前記第2濾過領域(8から11)のブロックとの表面通路密度が異なっていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の濾過体。
- 前記第1濾過領域(12から23、27)と前記第2濾過領域(8から11、26)が、それぞれ、濾過体(7)の周辺部分と中心部分を占め、濾過体(7)の周辺部分が、中心部分よりも大きな濾過表面面積を有することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の濾過体。
- 前記濾過体の再生を開始するための熱源の付近で動作するよう配置されるように適合された、少なくとも1つの、より大きな濾過表面面積を有する領域を備えることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の濾過体。
- 前記濾過領域の1つの濾過表面面積が、他の濾過領域のそれより、少なくとも10%大きいことを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の濾過体。
- 炭化珪素またはコーディエライトから作られることを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の濾過体。
- 前記第1濾過領域の通路が断面三角形の形状であることを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の濾過体。
- 前記第1濾過領域の通路の壁の厚さが、前記第2濾過領域の通路の壁の厚さより薄いことを特徴とする請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の濾過体。
