Claims (37)
- 長手方向軸線を備えた固定組立体において、
ファスナを受入れるように構成された少なくとも1つのファスナ孔と、複数列の歯とを備えた第一プレートと、
第二プレートとを有し、前記第二プレートは、ファスナを受入れるように構成された少なくとも1つのファスナ孔と、前記歯と係合して前記両方のプレートを一体に連結する弾性固定要素とを備え、
前記第二プレートは、前記第一プレートに対して長手方向軸線に沿って移動できるように構成され、
前記弾性固定要素と連続した歯の列とを係合させるのに必要な押圧力は、前記第二プレートが長手方向軸線に沿って移動するにつれて増大するように構成される、
ことを特徴とする固定組立体。 - 前記組立体は単方向性であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の固定組立体。
- 前記組立体は、手術現場で直線移動させることができることを特徴とする請求項1記載の固定組立体。
- 前記組立体は、少なくとも1つのファスナが、前記第一プレートおよび前記第二プレートの少なくとも1つのファスナ孔内に受入れられた後に直線移動させることができるように構成され、前記ファスナは骨セグメント内に更に挿入されるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の固定組立体。
- 前記第一プレートのファスナ孔内に挿入される第一ファスナと、前記第二プレートのファスナ孔内に挿入される第二ファスナとを更に有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の固定組立体。
- 前記第一ファスナは第一骨セグメント内に挿入されるように構成され、前記第二ファスナは第二骨セグメント内に挿入されるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項5記載の固定組立体。
- 前記第一骨セグメントおよび前記第二骨セグメントは、隣接した椎骨であることを特徴とする請求項6記載の固定組立体。
- 第三プレートを更に有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の固定組立体。
- 第一列の歯が第一高さを有し、第二列の歯が第二高さを有し、前記第二高さは前記第一高さより大きいことを特徴とする請求項1記載の固定組立体。
- 前記第一プレートは少なくとも3列の歯を有していることを特徴とする請求項1記載の固定組立体。
- 弾性固定要素を第二列の歯と係合させるのに要する軸線方向の力は、前記弾性固定要素を第三列の歯と係合させるのに要する軸線方向力より小さいように構成されることを特徴とする請求項10記載の固定組立体。
- 少なくとも1つのファスナが骨スクリュウであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の固定組立体。
- 少なくとも1つの骨スクリュウがセルフドリリングスクリュウであることを特徴とする請求項12記載の固定組立体。
- 少なくとも1つの骨スクリュウがセルフタッピングスクリュウであることを特徴とする請求項12記載の固定組立体。
- 少なくとも1つの骨スクリュウがファスナ孔内でトグル(toggle)で取り付けることができることを特徴とする請求項12記載の固定組立体。
- 前記第一プレートおよび前記第二プレートの各々が、窓を有していることを特徴とする請求項1記載の固定組立体。
- 固定組立体において、
ファスナを受入れるように構成された少なくとも1つのファスナ孔を備えた第一プレートと、
ファスナを受入れるように構成された少なくとも1つのファスナ孔を備えた第二プレートとを有し、
前記第一プレートは、前記第二プレートに連結され、かつ、前記第二プレートに対して直線移動でき、
前記固定組立体は複数の圧縮長さを有し、
前記固定組立体の長さを徐々に圧縮するには、徐々に増大する軸線方向力を加える必要があるように構成されることを特徴とする固定組立体。 - 前記組立体は単方向性であることを特徴とする請求項17記載の固定組立体。
- 前記組立体は、手術現場で直線移動させるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項17記載の固定組立体。
- 前記組立体は、少なくとも1つのファスナが、前記第一プレートおよび前記第二プレートの少なくとも1つのファスナ孔内に受入れられた後に直線移動させることができるように構成され、前記ファスナは骨セグメント内に更に挿入されるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項17記載の固定組立体。
- 前記第一プレートのファスナ孔内に挿入される第一ファスナと、前記第二プレートのファスナ孔内に挿入される第二ファスナとを更に有することを特徴とする請求項17記載の固定組立体。
- 前記第一ファスナは第一骨セグメント内に挿入されるように構成され、前記第二ファスナは第二骨セグメント内に挿入されるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項21記載の固定組立体。
- 前記第一骨セグメントおよび前記第二骨セグメントは、隣接した椎骨であることを特徴とする請求項22記載の固定組立体。
- 第三プレートを更に有することを特徴とする請求項17記載の固定組立体。
- 少なくとも1つのファスナが骨スクリュウであることを特徴とする請求項17記載の固定組立体。
- 少なくとも1つの骨スクリュウがセルフドリリングスクリュウであることを特徴とする請求項25記載の固定組立体。
- 少なくとも1つの骨スクリュウがセルフタッピングスクリュウであることを特徴とする請求項25記載の固定組立体。
- 少なくとも1つの骨スクリュウがファスナ孔内でトグル(toggle)で取り付けることができるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項25記載の固定組立体。
- 前記第一プレートおよび前記第二プレートの各々が、窓を有していることを特徴とする請求項17記載の固定組立体。
- 複数の骨セグメントを固定する方法において、
(a)少なくとも1つの骨ファスナ孔と、少なくとも第一列の歯および第二列の歯とを備えた第一プレートと、少なくとも1つの骨ファスナ孔と、弾性固定要素とを備えた第二プレートとを有する固定組立体を用意する段階と、
(b)所望の身体部位に隣接して固定組立体を位置決めする段階と、
(c)少なくとも1つの骨ファスナを用いて前記第一プレートを第一骨セグメントに取付け、かつ、少なくとも1つの骨ファスナを用いて前記第二プレートを第二骨セグメントに取付ける段階と、
(d)固定組立体を手術現場で直線移動できるようにする段階とを有することを特徴とする方法。 - 前記段階(a)の前記固定組立体は第一圧縮状態にあることを特徴とする請求項30記載の方法。
- 前記固定組立体は、手術現場で第二圧縮状態に直線移動できることを特徴とする請求項31記載の方法。
- 前記固定組立体を手により圧縮する段階を更に有することを特徴とする請求項30記載の方法。
- 前記手による圧縮段階は外科医により行われることを特徴とする請求項33記載の方法。
- 前記手による圧縮段階は器具を用いて行われることを特徴とする請求項33記載の方法。
- 前記段階(a)の前に、患者の身体に切開部を形成し、所望の身体部位へのアクセスを行う段階を更に有することを特徴とする請求項30記載の方法。
- 前記切開部を閉じる段階を更に有することを特徴とする請求項36記載の方法。
