前記板部材を前記冠状体に当てて係合させた後に前記柱の近端の延長部分を取り外す工程と、を含む脊椎手術方法。 - 前記留め部材が前記椎骨に係合させられると、前記柱の前記近端の延長部分が、前記切開部に隣接する場所へと延びる、請求項37に記載の方法。
- 前記板部材を係合させる工程が、前記近端の延長部分の除去の前に前記柱の前記近端の延長部分に沿って、係止部材を前記冠状体に隣接する前記柱の取付用部分へとネジ式に進ませる工程を含む、請求項37に記載の方法。
- 前記板部材を係合させる工程が、前記連結部材を前記留め部材に堅く連結する、請求項37に記載の方法。
- 前記近端の延長部分を取り外す工程が、前記延長部分の内側の工具係合用通路を係合させる工程、およびトルクを加える工程を含む、請求項37に記載の方法。
- 前記内側の工具係合用通路が、前記連結部材の容器と連通し、前記容器が、前記柱の遠端方向に位置して前記留め部材の頭部を中に枢動可能に受け入れる、請求項41に記載の方法。
- 前記留め部材を係合させる工程が、前記内側の工具係合用通路を通して駆動用工具を配置する工程、および前記留め部材の前記頭部内の工具係合用凹部を係合させる工程を含む、請求項42に記載の方法。
