Abstract
Description
Claims (45)
- スクリュー保持装置において、
スクリューを受け入れるための孔を有し、該孔が頂表面と底表面との間を延びているプレートと;
上記頂表面から上記プレート内へ延び、上記孔とオーバーラップするように位置する空洞と;
上記空洞内に位置し、上記スクリューが上記孔から抜け出すのを阻止するような第1の形状と、当該スクリューが当該孔から抜け出すのを許容するような第2の形状との間で変化できる弾性部材と;
上記弾性部材が上記プレートから除去されるのを阻止するように上記空洞内で取り付けられたキャップと;
を有し、上記弾性部材が上記第1の形状において上記キャップから上記孔内へ外方に延びることを特徴とする装置。 - 上記空洞が上記プレートの中間区分に位置することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 上記空洞が上記弾性部材を位置決めするように寸法決めされた上方棚部、及び、同上方棚部と上記プレートの底表面との間の下方区分を有し、上記上方棚部が上記下方区分よりも大きな幅を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 上記キャップが上記上方棚部上に位置するフランジと、当該キャップを上記プレートに装着するために上記下方区分内で取り付けられたプラグとを有することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の装置。
- 上記弾性部材が上記プレートに装着されたときに、上記キャップの上表面が当該プレートの上記頂表面と実質上同一面になることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 上記弾性部材が実質上平坦な底表面を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 上記弾性部材が第1及び第2の端部間に形成されたスロットを備えた実質上C字状の湾曲本体を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 上記キャップ上のタブは、上記弾性部材が上記空洞内で所定量以上に回転するのを阻止するように、当該弾性部材の上記スロット内で位置決めされることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の装置。
- 上記キャップが細長い開口を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 上記キャップの縁部は、当該キャップが上記孔から離れて位置し同孔とはオーバーラップしないように、当該孔と整合する湾曲表面を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 上記弾性部材が上記第2の形状へ変形されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 上記空洞が自然の状態の上記弾性部材よりも幅狭く、上記第1の形状において当該弾性部材を予負荷状態にすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 上記プレートが複数の椎骨部材にわたって延びるような細長い形状を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 上記空洞が上記プレートを完全に貫通することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 上記キャップの下方区分上の耳部を受け入れるために上記プレートの上記底表面に位置するカウンタボアを更に有することを特徴とする請求項14に記載の装置。
- スクリュー保持装置において、
スクリューを受け入れるように寸法決めされた孔を有するプレートと;
上記孔とオーバーラップするカウンタボアを備えた、上記プレート内へ延びる空洞と;
上記カウンタボア内に位置し、上記孔へアクセスするスクリューを制御するために弾性的に変形できる弾性部材と;
上記空洞上で少なくとも部分的に位置するフランジ、及び、上記弾性部材の内部区分を通して位置決めされ、上記プレートにキャップを取り付けるために当該プレートと嵌合するプラグを有するキャップと;
を有することを特徴とするスクリュー保持装置。 - 上記プラグが上記空洞の側壁に装着するように変形できる耳部を有することを特徴とする請求項16に記載の装置。
- 上記フランジは、同フランジが上記孔内へ延びないように、同孔と整合する湾曲縁部を有することを特徴とする請求項16に記載の装置。
- 上記空洞が上記プレートの中間区分に位置することを特徴とする請求項16に記載の装置。
- 上記キャップが実質上T字形状を有し、上記プラグが約90°の角度で上記フランジから外方に延びることを特徴とする請求項16に記載の装置。
- 上記キャップが上記フランジを通り、上記プラグを少なくとも部分的に通って延びる細長い窓を有することを特徴とする請求項16に記載の装置。
- スクリュー保持装置において、
第1及び第2のスクリュー受け入れ孔間に位置し、上記第1及び第2の孔とオーバーラップするように寸法決めされた空洞を有するプレートと;
上記空洞内に位置し、上記第1及び第2の孔内へ延びる第1の形状及び当該第1及び第2の孔から離れる第2の形状を備えた変形可能な形状を有する弾性部材と;
上記プレートに取り付けられ、上記空洞上に装着され、上記第1及び第2の孔から離れる形状のキャップと;
を有し、上記弾性部材が上記第1の形状において上記キャップから外方に延び、上記第2の形状において当該キャップの下方に位置することを特徴とする装置。 - 上記空洞が上記孔間に位置し、上記キャップが当該孔と整合する湾曲縁部を備えた砂時計形状を有することを特徴とする請求項22に記載の装置。
- 上記空洞の中心が上記第1及び第2の孔の中心間に形成されたラインに沿って位置することを特徴とする請求項23に記載の装置。
- 上記空洞がカウンタボアと中央区分とを有し、上記カウンタボアが上記プレートの頂表面から同プレート内へ延び、上記第1及び第2の孔内へ延びるような幅を有し、上記中央区分が当該プレートを通って延び、当該第1及び第2の孔から離れて位置することを特徴とする請求項22に記載の装置。
- スクリュー保持装置において、
孔とオーバーラップするカウンタボアを備えた空洞を有するプレートであって、上記孔が上記プレートを通って延び、上記カウンタボアが頂表面から当該プレート内へ限られた距離だけ延びるようなプレートと;
上記カウンタボア内に位置し、上記孔内へ延びる第1の形状と、当該孔から離れるように寸法決めされた第2の形状と、をとり得る弾性部材と;
上記プレートに取り付けられ、上記空洞の上方に装着され、上記孔から離れて位置するような形状を有するキャップと;
を有し、上記弾性部材が上記第1の形状において上記キャップの下方から延び、上記第2の形状において当該キャップの下方に位置することを特徴とする装置。 - 椎骨プレート装置において、
頂表面と底表面との間を延びる孔を有するプレートと;
上記頂表面から上記プレート内へ延び、上記孔よりも小さな深さを有し、当該孔とオーバーラップするように位置するカウンタボアと;
実質上平坦な底表面を有し、上記カウンタボア内に位置し、第1及び第2の形状間で変形できる弾性部材と;
上記弾性部材を上記カウンタボア内に維持するように上記プレートに取り付けられたキャップと;
を有することを特徴とする装置。 - スクリューを更に有し、同スクリューが同スクリューの中央軸線から外方へ延びる棚部を有し、同棚部は、上記弾性部材が上記第1の形状にあるときに同弾性部材の上記実質上平坦な底表面に接触するように、実質上平坦となっていることを特徴とする請求項27に記載の装置。
- 上記棚部に隣接し、当該棚部における最大幅と、挿入端部に近い方の該棚部からある距離での最小幅とを有する球状部を更に有することを特徴とする請求項28に記載の装置。
- 上記弾性部材が湾曲本体と、スロットを形成するように離間した第1及び第2の端部とを備えた実質上C字形状を有することを特徴とする請求項27に記載の装置。
- 上記弾性部材が実質上矩形の横断面形状を有することを特徴とする請求項27に記載の装置。
- プレート装置において、
スクリューを受け入れるために頂表面と底表面との間を延びる孔を有するプレートと;
上記頂表面から上記プレート内へ延び、上記孔よりも小さな深さを有し、当該孔とオーバーラップするように位置するカウンタボアと;
実質上平坦な底表面を有し、上記カウンタボア内に留まるように位置し、上記孔内へ延びるような第1の形状と当該孔から離れるような第2の形状との間で変形できる弾性部材と;
上記プレートに取り付けられ、上記カウンタボアの少なくとも一部の上で延びるキャップと;
を有することを特徴とする装置。 - 上記空洞及び上記カウンタボアが同軸的に整合することを特徴とする請求項32に記載の装置。
- 椎骨部材にプレートを装着する方法において、
プレートの空洞内に弾性部材を位置決めし、孔の上方で上記弾性部材を部分的に伸長させる工程と;
上記空洞上にキャップを配置し、上記弾性部材が上記プレートから除去されるのを阻止するように上記キャップを当該プレートに取り付ける工程と;
上記孔内にスクリューを挿入し、当該孔から離れるように上記弾性部材を変形させる工程と;
椎骨部材内で所定の位置に上記スクリューを装着する工程と;
上記スクリューが上記孔から抜け出すのを阻止するように当該孔上及び当該スクリュー上へ上記弾性部材を戻す工程と;
を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 上記孔上へ上記弾性部材を戻す工程が同弾性部材を受動的に戻す工程を有することを特徴とする請求項34に記載の方法。
- 上記弾性部材を変形させる工程が上記キャップの下方の位置へ当該弾性部材を移動させる工程を有することを特徴とする請求項34に記載の方法。
- 上記弾性部材が上記キャップの下方区分のまわりを実質的な範囲で囲むよう延びる状態で、上記下方区分を上記空洞内へ挿入する工程を更に有することを特徴とする請求項34に記載の方法。
- 上記スクリューが上記孔から抜け出すのを阻止するように当該孔上及び当該スクリュー上へ上記弾性部材を戻す工程が当該スクリューの実質上平坦な区分上へ当該弾性部材の平坦な底区分を移動させる工程を有することを特徴とする請求項34に記載の方法。
- プレートを装着する方法において、
孔上で部分的に延びるように弾性部材をプレートの空洞内で位置決めする工程と;
フランジが上記弾性部材の少なくとも一部上へ延びた状態で、上記空洞上にキャップを配置する工程と;
上記孔内にスクリューを挿入し、上記フランジの下方の位置まで上記弾性部材を変形させる工程と;
上記プレートに関して所定の深さだけ上記スクリューを挿入する工程と;
上記スクリュー上へ延びるように及び同スクリューが上記孔から抜け出すのを阻止するように、上記フランジの下方から上記弾性部材を戻す工程と;
を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 上記キャップを上記プレートに取り付けるように及び上記弾性部材が当該プレートから除去されるのを阻止するように、上記キャップのプラグを上記空洞内へ伸長させる工程を更に有することを特徴とする請求項39に記載の方法。
- プレートに関してスクリューを保持する方法において、
孔上へ部分的に延びるように弾性部材をプレートの空洞内へ挿入する工程と;
上記空洞内へキャップを挿入し、同キャップの耳部を上記プレート内の構造内へと変形させ、上記キャップを当該プレートに取り付ける工程と;
上記孔内にスクリューを挿入し、当該孔から離れるように上記弾性部材を変形させる工程と;
上記プレートに関して所定の深さだけ上記スクリューを挿入する工程と;
上記スクリュー上へ延びるように及び同スクリューが上記孔から抜け出すのを阻止するように、上記弾性部材を戻す工程と;
を有することを特徴とする方法。 - プレートに関してスクリューを保持する方法において、
弾性部材が孔の上へ延びるような第1の形状にある状態で、キャップによりプレートに上記弾性部材を取り付ける工程と;
上記孔を通して第1の方向にスクリューを挿入し、第2の形状へと上記弾性部材を変形させる工程と;
上記スクリューを上記第1の方向へ移動させ、上記孔を通して上記スクリューをある長さだけ前進させる工程と;
上記スクリュー上へ延びるような第3の形状へと上記弾性部材を変形させ、当該スクリューが第2の方向へ移動するのを阻止する工程と;
を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 上記第1の形状及び上記第3の形状へ変形されたときに、上記弾性部材が同じ寸法となることを特徴とする請求項42に記載の方法。
- スクリュー保持装置において、
頂表面及び底表面を有するプレートと;
上記プレート内に位置し、上記頂表面と上記底表面との間を延びる空洞と;
上記プレート内に位置し、上記頂表面と上記底表面との間を延びる孔と;
上記空洞と整合し、上記頂表面から上記プレート内へ延び、上記孔とオーバーラップし、当該空洞より大きな幅を有する第1のカウンタボアと;
上記空洞と整合し、上記底表面から上記プレート内へ延び、当該空洞より大きな幅を有する第2のカウンタボアと;
上記第1のカウンタボア内に位置し、上記孔内へ延びるような第1の形状及び当該孔から離れるような第2の形状を有する弾性部材と;
上記弾性部材の少なくとも一部の区分上で延び、上記プレートに取り付けられるように上記第2のカウンタボア内に位置する少なくとも1つの耳部を有するキャップと;
を有することを特徴とする装置。 - 上記第1及び第2のカウンタボアが各々上記空洞に対して軸方向で整合することを特徴とする請求項44に記載の装置。
