Abstract
【解決手段】発電要素が収納されているケースに、該ケース内の圧力が所定値以上に上昇した際に破断する溝部32を設け、該溝部32を、溝幅Hの中途部から一方の溝端aまでが適宜の半径R1の第1湾曲面32a、及び溝幅Hの中途部から他方の溝端bまでが前記第1湾曲面32aの半径より大きい半径R2の第2湾曲面32bを有する構成とすることにより、第1湾曲面32aでの破断性を相対的に高め、溝部32の破断箇所を第1湾曲面32aの一方に特定した。

Description
表1は第1湾曲面32a及び第2湾曲面32bの半径R1,R2と、破断作動圧との関係を実験した実験データを表す。実験ではケース蓋3の板厚tを0.1mm、溝部32の溝幅Hを0.7mm、溝部32の板厚hを0.03mm、溝部32の半径R1を0.1mm、R2を0.1mm、0.15mm、0.2mm、0.3mmとしてある。このサイズのケース蓋3をプレス成形し、ゴム製チューブによりケース蓋のガス排出弁部分を密封し、治具により固定した状態で空気を溝部が破断するまで送り込み、除々に昇圧させ、溝部が破断した時の圧力を圧力ゲージ計により測定し、破断作動圧としてある。
図2の溝部32は小判形の環状形であるが、その形状はガス排出弁としての役割に支障がない限りにおいて限定されず、例えば、円形、楕円形、ひょうたん形などが挙げられる。

Claims (2)
- 発電要素が収納されているケースに、該ケース内の圧力が上昇した際に破断する溝部を設けてある電池において、前記溝部は、溝幅の中途部から一方の溝端までが適宜の半径の第1湾曲面、及び溝幅の中途部から他方の溝端までが前記第1湾曲面の半径より大きい半径の第2湾曲面を有することを特徴とする電池。
- 前記第2湾曲面は前記第1湾曲面の半径の2倍以上の半径で形成してある請求項1記載の電池。
