Abstract
【解決手段】エンジン10用のアンモニア含有還元剤供給システム73から生成される蒸気の管理方法が、アンモニア含有液体を第一貯蔵装置220内に貯蔵する工程と、第一貯蔵装置220内にてアンモニア蒸気を生成し、生成されたアンモニア蒸気を第二貯蔵装置230内に貯蔵する工程と、第一エンジン運転状態の間に第二貯蔵装置230からエンジンの燃焼室30の上流へ、貯蔵されたアンモニア蒸気をパージし、第二エンジン運転状態の間に第二貯蔵装置230からエンジンの燃焼室30の下流へ、貯蔵されたアンモニア蒸気をパージする工程を備える。

Claims (10)
- エンジン用のアンモニア含有還元剤供給システムから生成されるアンモニア蒸気の管理方法であって、
アンモニア含有液体を第一貯蔵装置内に貯蔵する工程、
上記第一貯蔵装置内にてアンモニア蒸気を生成し、上記生成されたアンモニア蒸気を第二貯蔵装置内に貯蔵する工程、及び、
第一エンジン運転状態の間に上記第二貯蔵装置から上記エンジンの燃焼室の上流へ上記貯蔵されたアンモニア蒸気をパージし、第二エンジン運転状態の間に上記第二貯蔵装置から上記燃焼室の下流へ、上記貯蔵されたアンモニア蒸気をパージする工程、を備える方法。 - 上記第一エンジン運転状態は、大気温度又は上記第一貯蔵装置の温度の少なくとも一方が、所定温度よりも高い状態である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 上記第一エンジン運転状態は、上記燃焼室内の温度が所定第一温度よりも高い状態であり、上記第二エンジン運転状態は、上記燃焼室の下流の触媒内の温度が所定第二温度よりも高い状態である、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 上記所定第一温度は、上記所定第二温度よりも高い、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 上記第一貯蔵装置内の温度が所定第三温度よりも低い状態の間に、上記第二貯蔵装置から上記第一貯蔵装置に、上記貯蔵された蒸気をパージする工程を更に備え、上記所定第三温度は、上記所定第一温度及び上記所定第二温度よりも低い、請求項3又は4に記載の方法。
- 上記貯蔵された蒸気が、触媒中で反応させるべく、上記燃焼室と、上記燃焼室の下流に設けられた触媒との間に位置するエンジンの排気にパージされ、上記触媒がSCR触媒である、請求項1乃至5のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- エンジン用のアンモニア含有蒸気をパージする方法であって、
第一貯蔵装置内にアンモニア含有液体を貯蔵する工程、
上記第一貯蔵装置内にてアンモニア蒸気を生成し、上記生成されたアンモニア蒸気を第二貯蔵装置内に貯蔵する工程、及び、
上記アンモニア含有蒸気を、上記エンジンの燃焼室の上流の第一部位に移送する工程、を備える方法。 - 自動車のエンジンのためのアンモニア含有還元剤供給システムを再充填する方法であって、
第一貯蔵装置内にアンモニア含有液体を貯蔵する工程、
上記第一貯蔵装置に上記アンモニア含有液体を再補給する期間の少なくとも一部において、上記再補給から生成されるアンモニア蒸気を、第二貯蔵装置内に貯蔵する工程、及び、
該第二貯蔵装置内への貯蔵工程の後に、上記貯蔵されたアンモニア蒸気をパージする工程、を備える方法。 - 上記貯蔵されたアンモニア蒸気は、エンジン作動状態の間にパージされる、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 自動車のエンジンのためのアンモニア含有還元剤供給システムに還元剤を再補給する方法であって、
第一貯蔵装置内にアンモニア含有液体を貯蔵する工程、
上記第一貯蔵装置に上記アンモニア含有液体を再補給する期間の少なくとも一部において、上記再補給から生成されるアンモニア蒸気を第二貯蔵装置内に貯蔵する工程、
該第二貯蔵装置内への貯蔵工程の後に、上記貯蔵されたアンモニア蒸気をパージする工程、及び、
上記パージ工程の間に上記第一貯蔵装置から噴射される還元剤としてのアンモニア含有液体の量を上記パージ工程の作用に基づいて調整する工程、を備え、
上記パージ工程において、少なくともエンジン運転状態に応じて、上記貯蔵されたアンモニア蒸気が、上記第一貯蔵装置内、上記エンジンとSCR触媒との間の排気内、或いは、上記エンジンの燃焼室の上流の部位内に選択的にパージされ、そして、上記第一貯蔵装置から噴射される還元剤は尿素である方法。
