近年、安価な携帯型オーディオ機器の登場に伴うデジタルオーディオ圧縮技術の進歩により、ユーザは、高音質の音楽のライブラリ全体を文字通りポケットに入れて、あらゆる状況下で音楽を楽しむことができるようになった。これらの携帯型機器は、多くの場合、半導体メモリ又は小型のコンピュータハードディスクに、数百乃至数千メガバイトの圧縮オーディオデータを記憶させる。従来の記録媒体（例えば、レッドブック規格に準拠したオーディオデータ（以下、単に、レッドブックオーディオデータという。）が記録されたコンパクトディスク（compact disc：以下、ＣＤという。））から携帯型機器に音楽データを移動（move）するために、ユーザは、コンピュータソフトウェアを用いて、ＣＤからデータをリッピングし（"rip"）、例えば、ムービングピクチャエキスパートグループ（Moving Picture Experts Group：以下、ＭＰＥＧという。）オーディオプレイヤ３（一般的にＭＰ３と呼ばれている。）等のアルゴリズムを用いて、圧縮されたオーディオデータを含むファイルを作成する。これらのファイルは、携帯型機器にコピーすることができる。
このオーディオ圧縮技術の進歩に伴う副次的な問題として、インターネットを介してファイルを交換（swapping）することによる著作権の侵害や海賊行為が実質的に増加している。テープ状記録媒体やこの他の物理媒体を介して、友人や知人と音楽データを共有する行為は以前から行われているが、高品質のオーディオ圧縮技術及び数々のファイル交換ソフトウェアプログラム（file swapping software program）により、１人のユーザがアルバムデータの単一のコピーを購入することで、それとほぼ同時に、全世界の不特定多数の個人とこのデータを共有することができるようになった。知人間で音楽データを共有することは、新譜アルバム又は音楽活動の宣伝にもなり、これにより売上げが向上することに役立つという側面もあったが、事実上無制限なデータの共有は、音楽データの売上げに深刻な影響を与える。
このような著作権侵害及び無制限なコピーを防ぐための様々な手法が提案されている。これらの手法の多くは、仮想的に毎回のデジタルコンテンツの使用を管理するデジタル権利管理（digital rights management：以下、ＤＲＭという。）スキームを含んでいる。しかしながら、これらの手法は、現在提案されている形式では、複雑であり、使用しにくい。他の手法として、単純に「リッピング対策（anti-ripping）」技術を用いて、家庭用ステレオ装置によるＣＤの再生を許可するが、コンピュータがレッドブック規格のＣＤに記録されているデータを読み取ることを禁止する（これにより、ＣＤがリッピングされることを防止する）手法もある。しかしながら、この技術では、ユーザは個人的な用途で所有の携帯型機器にデータをコピーすることもできなくなる。
そこで、ユーザにとっての柔軟性と使い易さを維持しながら、著作権侵害を招く無制限のファイル交換を禁止又は抑制する手法の実現が望まれている。
本発明は、ユーザがコンテンツを利用し、楽しむことを大きく制限することなく、例えばコンテンツのコピーの作成できる回数を制御又は制限することにより、デジタルコンテンツの使用を制御する方法を提供する。これは、例えば、デジタルコンテンツの保護されたコピーと共に、コンピュータ装置によっては読取不可能なデジタルコンテンツのコピーを記録することによって実現される。
本発明の一実施例においては、リムーバブル記録媒体は、リッピング対策技術（anti-ripping technology）によって保護された標準レッドブック規格に準拠するオーディオトラック（すなわち、これらのセクションを有するＣＤは、コンピュータ装置のＣＤドライブ又はコンピュータ装置のＤＶＤドライブでは読取不可能であり、例えばステレオ装置等では読取可能である。）と、コンピュータ装置によって読取可能なセクションとを含むＣＤである。ＣＤのコンピュータ装置により読取可能なセクションには、同じオーディオトラックの保護されたセクションが圧縮されたフォーマットで格納されている。ＣＤには、これらの圧縮されたトラックのコピーを再生し、使用し、作成するソフトウェアを記録してもよい。このＣＤは、ステレオ装置において従来のＣＤと同様に使用され、及びコンピュータ装置において用いられて、携帯型機器又は他のコンピュータ装置において用いるためのデジタルコンテンツの数が制限されたコピーをユーザに提供する。
リムーバブル記録媒体がユーザのコンピュータ装置に挿入されると、ソフトウェアにより、ユーザはコンテンツを直接再生又はこの他の目的で使用することができるとともに、携帯型機器又は他のコンピュータ装置に転送することができ、数が制限されたコピーを作成することができる。作成できるコピーの数は、例えば、コンピュータ装置に現在記録されているコピーの数、以前に作成されたコピーの数、又はコピーが他のコンピュータ装置によって以前に作成されているか等を含む複数の要因のうちの１以上の要因によって制限してもよい。これらのコピーは、作成時には、全てコンピュータ装置に保存され、保存されたコピーは、携帯型機器又は他のコンピュータ装置に転送することができ、或いはリムーバブル記録媒体をコンピュータ装置に挿入することなく、単にソフトウェアによって再生することもできる。
本発明の他の可能な実施例においては、リムーバブル記録媒体は、保護されたレッドブックオーディオデータ、同じオーディオデータの保護され、圧縮されたバージョン、及び圧縮されたオーディオデータにアクセスするためのソフトウェアが格納された、例えばＣＤ−ＲやＣＤ−ＲＷ等の書込可能なＣＤであってもよい。このＣＤは、従来のＣＤと同様にステレオ装置において再生することもでき、或いはユーザは、コンピュータ装置を用いて、携帯型機器又は他のコンピュータ装置において使用するために、デジタルコンテンツの数が制限されたコピーを作成することができる。ソフトウェアは、作成したコピー又はコピーを作成した状況に関する情報をＣＤに書き込んでもよい。
本発明によれば、ユーザにとっての柔軟性と使い易さを維持しながら、著作権侵害を招く無制限のファイル交換を禁止又は抑制することが可能となる。
上述の実施例及び変形例、並びにこの他の可能な実施例については、以下に詳細に説明する。
本発明の実施例においては、媒体、特に、例えばコンパクトディスク（ＣＤ）等のリムーバブル記録媒体は、暗号化された、又は他の手法による許可されていないアクセスから保護されたデジタル音楽ファイルを格納する。デジタル音楽ファイルは、例えば、ソニー株式会社のＡＴＲＡＣ（商標）、ＭＰ３、マイクロソフト社（Microsoft）のウィンドウズメディアオーディオ（Windows' Media Audio：ＷＭＡ）（登録商標）等の周知のオーディオ圧縮アルゴリズムを用いて圧縮されたオーディオデータを含んでいてもよい。なお、オーディオデータは、「通常の」ＣＤ並の忠実度を有していてもよい。ＣＤは、デジタルファイルを復号し、再生するためのソフトウェアを含んでいてもよい。更に、ＣＤは、例えば、マクロビジョン社（Macrovision, Inc.）のセーフオーディオ（SafeAudio：商標）又は他の「リッピング対策」技術を用いて、コンピュータによるＣＤのコピーを防止するよう保護された、標準的なレッドブックオーディオデータを格納していてもよい。これにより、本発明に基づくセキュリティ機能及び制御機能を実現しながら、一般的な家庭用ステレオ装置又はカーステレオ装置によって、忠実度を殆ど又は全く損なうことなく、ＣＤからレッドブックオーディオデータを再生することができる。リムーバブル記録媒体は、ＣＤに限定されず、ミニディスク（商標）、デジタルバーサタイルディスク（Digital Versatile Disc：ＤＶＤ）及び他の形式のリムーバブル記録媒体であってもよい。また、デジタルコンテンツは、音楽データに限定されず、例えばオーディオデータ、ビデオデータ又はマルチメディアデータ等の他のコンテンツであってもよい。
例えば、図１に示すように、本発明の実施例のシステムは、リッピング対策技術により、デジタル記録媒体駆動装置を備えたコンピュータで読取不可能なように保護されたレッドブックオーディオデータと、上記コンピュータで読取可能な暗号化されたデジタルオーディオファイル（及び、暗号化されたオーディオファイルを再生するために必要な「プレーヤ」ソフトウェアを含んでいてもよい。）とを格納する記録媒体１０１を備える。記録媒体１０１は、コンピュータ１０２において使用され、コンピュータ１０２は、携帯型機器１０３と通信することができる。コンピュータ１０２は、既に、プレーヤソフトウェアを備えていてもよく、記録媒体１０１からコンピュータ１０２にプレーヤソフトウェアをインストールしてもよい。プレーヤソフトウェアは、後述するように、暗号化されたデジタルオーディオファイルのコピーを携帯型機器１０３に転送（transfer）するために用いることができる。
本発明の一実施例においては、リムーバブル記録媒体のデジタルコンテンツのコピーに関する制御は、デジタルコンテンツの保護されたコピーの数を制限し、コンピュータにコピーを保存し、更なるコピーが作成されないように、そのコピーを他の機器に移動させることによって実現される。この実施例（図１及び図２に概略を示す。）では、記録媒体１０１がコンピュータ１０２に挿入又は接続されると、ＣＤ（記録媒体１０１）内に格納されているプレーヤソフトウェアが自動的に実行される（ステップ２０１）。プレーヤソフトウェアは、コンピュータ１０２に自らをインストールし、ＣＤ１０１上のデジタルファイルの所定数（例えば４個）のコピーを作成し（ステップ２０２）、これらをコンピュータ１０２（例えば、ハードディスクディスクドライブ）に保存する（ステップ２０３）。デジタルファイルの各コピーは、暗号化され、プレーヤソフトウェア又は他の認証されたソフトウェアによってのみ復号され及び再生されるようにすることができる。プレーヤソフトウェアは、デジタルファイルを他の機器に移動（コピーではない）するために用いることができるようにしてもよい。デジタルファイルのコピー（copying）及び移動（moving）は、セキュア認証済チャンネル（secure authenticated channel：以下、ＳＡＣという。）を用いて行ってもよい。例えば、図２に示すように、ユーザは、携帯型機器１０３をコンピュータ１０２に接続し、デジタルファイルを携帯型機器１０３に移動するよう要求することができる（ステップ２０４）。プレーヤソフトウェアは、携帯型機器１０３にアクセスし、この携帯型機器１０３がデジタルコンテンツの受取りを認められていることを確認する（ステップ２０５）。例えば、プレーヤソフトウェアは、携帯型機器１０３が所定のコンテンツ保護機能及び／又は改竄防止機能（tamper resistance capability）を有し、この携帯型機器１０３に格納されるコンテンツが不正なアクセスを受けにくいことを確認してもよい。プレーヤソフトウェアは、識別認証ルーチンを実行し、例えば唯一の認証ＩＤ番号又はこれに類似する手法を用いることにより、携帯型機器１０３が「インポスタ（imposter：故意又は不注意による詐称）」ではないことを確かめる。携帯型機器１０３が認証されると、プレーヤソフトウェアは、要求されたデジタルファイルのコピーの１つ及びこれを使用するために必要な情報（例えば、対応する復号鍵）を携帯型機器１０３に伝送する（ステップ２０６）。このデジタルファイルの伝送と同時に又は伝送の後に、プレーヤソフトウェアは、そのコピーをコンピュータ１０２のハードディスクから削除する（ステップ２０７）。これにより、デジタルファイルは携帯型機器１０３に「移動（moved）」され、更なるコピーが作成されることがなくなる。
コピーの他の機器への移動を制御してもよい。例えば、プレーヤソフトウェアは、デジタルファイルのコピーを認証された携帯型機器１０３のみに移動するよう構成してもよい。
これに代えて、プレーヤソフトウェアは、認証されたプレーヤソフトウェアを備える他のコンピュータを含む認証されたいかなる機器にデジタルファイルのコピーを移動できるようにしてもよく、これによりファイル交換を制限するようにしてもよい。また、プレーヤソフトウェアは、例えば、シリアルコピー管理システム（Serial Copy Management System：ＳＣＭＳ）と同様の制御を用いて、コピーを１回だけ移動できるようにしてもよい（例えば、コピーが他の機器に移動されるとき、コピーに何らかの形式でマークを付し、このコピーが移動された機器が再びコピーを移動できなくなるようにしてもよい）。
これに加えて、又はこれに代えて、プレーヤソフトウェアによって作成されたファイルのコピーは、暗号化又は保護が破られてしまった（broken）認証された１つ又は複数のコピーを追跡するための更なる情報を含んでいてもよい。例えば、各コピーは、そのコピーの作成元となるコンピュータを固有に識別する情報を含んでいてもよい。これに代えて、固有の識別番号を記録媒体１０１に符号化し、デジタルファイルの各コピーにこの情報を書き込むようにしてもよい。これにより、各コピーは、そのコピーが最初に作成された記録媒体を固有に識別する情報を含むこととなる。この識別情報は、様々な手法でコピー内に含ませることができる。例えば、各ファイルの復号鍵は、識別情報に基づかせ、後に、必要であれば、この識別情報を復号鍵から抽出できるようにしてもよい。
記録媒体をコンピュータ１０２に挿入したときにデジタルファイルのコピーの個数を決定する手法には様々な手法がある。例えば、プレーヤソフトウェアは、ＣＤがコンピュータに挿入される毎に、挿入されたＣＤ上の各ファイルについて、所定数（例えば、４個）のコピーを作成するように構成してもよい。これに代えて、プレーヤソフトウェアは、作成するコピーの数の最大値又はディフォルト値を設定し、これに対してユーザは、例えばコンピュータにおいて使用できる格納領域の容量の制約に応じて、これらの値より小さい値を選択できるようにしてもよい。コピーの数は、記録媒体に応じて変更してもよい。例えば、プレーヤソフトウェアが幾つのコピーを作成するかを指定する情報を各ＣＤに符号化して書き込んでもよい。
図３に示す実施例では、記録媒体１０１がコンピュータ１０２に挿入されると（ステップ３０１）、プレーヤソフトウェアは、例えば、コンピュータ１０２における記録媒体１０１の先の使用状況から、デジタルファイルのコピーが既に存在しているか否かを判定してもよい（ステップ３０２）。コピーが存在しない場合は、プレーヤソフトウェアは、所定数のコピーを作成する（ステップ３０３）。一方、コピーが存在する場合は、プレーヤソフトウェアは、更なるコピーを作成しない（ステップ３０４）。これに代えて、プレーヤソフトウェアは、コピーを作成する毎に、同じファイル名を用いて、同じ場所にコピーを書き込むようにしてもよい。これにより、プレーヤソフトウェアは、コピーの存在を確認する必要がなくなり、コピーが存在する場合は、単に、既存のコピーが新たなコピーによって上書きされる。
プレーヤソフトウェアは、いかなるコピーを作成することもなく、記録媒体から直接デジタルファイルを再生できるように構成してもよい。これにより、ユーザがコピーの作成を望まない場合、又は記録媒体が最大数のコピーが既に作成されている場合であっても、記録媒体がコンピュータに挿入されている限り、記録媒体からオーディオデータを再生することができる。
変形例として、リムーバブル記録媒体上のデジタルコンテンツのコピーの制御は、記録媒体を最初に使用した際に記録媒体に情報を書き込み、この情報を用いて、デジタルコンテンツの将来の用途（例えば、コピー、移動、再生、視聴等）を判定することによって実現してもよい。この場合、リムーバブル記録媒体は、例えば、ＣＤ−Ｒやミニディスク等の書き込み可能な媒体であってもよい。図４に示すように、例えば、ＣＤ１０１がコンピュータ１０２に挿入されると、ＣＤ１０１に格納されているプレーヤソフトウェアが自動的に実行され、プレーヤソフトウェアは、自らをコンピュータ１０２にインストールする（ステップ４０１）。次に、プレーヤソフトウェアは、ＣＤ１０１に格納されているデジタルファイルのコピーを作成し、これらのコピーをコンピュータ１０２（例えば、ハードディスク）に記録する（ステップ４０２、４０３）。プレーヤソフトウェアは、コピーを作成すると同時に、ＣＤに情報を書き込む（ステップ４０４）。この次にプレーヤソフトウェアが実行されたとき（例えば、この次に、記録媒体１０１がコンピュータ１０２に挿入されたとき）、プレーヤソフトウェアは、ＣＤ１０１から情報を読み出し、デジタルファイルの更なるコピーを作成することができるか否かを判定する。この変形例において作成されたデジタルファイルのコピーは、先に説明した実施例の場合と同様、移動することはできるが、更にコピーすることはできない。
記録媒体に書き込まれる情報は、識別番号（例えば、オペレーティングシステムのシリアル番号）又はコンピュータのハードウェアの説明（例えば、コンピュータ内のハードウェアコンポーネントのリスト、２つのコンピュータが全く同一のコンポーネントのリストを有することは希である。）等を用いて、コピーを作成したコンピュータを個々に識別する情報を含んでいてもよい。これにより、例えば、記録媒体は、コンピュータに「結びつけられる（bound）」。これに代えて、この情報は、デジタルファイルについて幾つのコピーが作成されているか、又はデジタルファイルについて、あと幾つのコピーを作成することができるかに関する情報を含んでいてもよい。例えば、プレーヤソフトウェアは、コピーを最初に作成したコンピュータ以外のコンピュータによってデジタルファイルのコピーが作成されることを禁止してもよく、或いはどのコンピュータがデジタルファイルのコピーを作成したかに関わらず、合計で４個までのコピーしか作成できないようにしてもよい。更に他の変形例として、プレーヤソフトウェアは、最大数のコピーが作成されると、記録媒体からデジタルファイル又は復号鍵を消去するようにしてもよい。
本発明に基づくプレーヤソフトウェアは、本発明に基づく保護方式を用いたいかなる記録媒体にも使用できる汎用ソフトウェアであってもよい。例えば、保護された各ＣＤには、同じプレーヤソフトウェアのコピーを格納してもよく、そのプレーヤソフトウェアは、コンピュータにインストールするためにデジタルファイルとそれぞれの復号情報とをＣＤから読み出す。汎用プレーヤソフトウェアが既に存在している場合、ソフトウェアを再びコピーする必要はなく、この場合、デジタルファイル及びこれらを使用するために必要な情報のみがコピーされる。そして、複数のＣＤのデジタルファイルのコピーと、復号情報とは、例えば、セキュアデータベース（secure database）を用いて、プレーヤソフトウェアの単一のコピーによって維持管理される。これに代えて、各音楽配信業者が固有の、複数のバージョンのプレーヤソフトウェアを用いることが好ましい場合もある。この場合、各音楽配信業者は、それぞれのソフトウェアに責任を負い、これにより、本発明を有効に実現するために必要な業者間の調整に関する負担が軽減される。ソフトウェアは、汎用プレーヤに類する動作を行うが、個々のバージョンのそれぞれは、特定の業者が製造したＣＤに対してのみ動作する。本発明では、個々のアルバム毎に固有のプレーヤソフトウェアのバージョンを用いてもよく、このプレーヤソフトウェアのバージョンは、他のアルバムに用いられるソフトウェアとは別に維持管理される。これらの固有のバージョンは、例えば、セキュリティレベルの強化又は向上等、固有の特徴を有していてもよい。また、ソフトウェアは、インターネット等のネットワークからダウンロードできるようにしてもよい。
本発明の実施例においては、本発明によって提供されるセキュリティ及び制御を確かなものとするために、プレーヤソフトウェアの完全性（integrity）を維持する。プレーヤソフトウェアが改竄（tampered with）された場合、保護されていない形式でデジタルコンテンツにアクセスすることができるようになってしまう虞がある。プレーヤソフトウェアは、記録媒体から直接実行された場合、プレーヤソフトウェアが改竄されている可能性は低い。一方、プレーヤソフトウェアがコンピュータにインストールされると、プレーヤソフトウェアは、リバースエンジニアリング又は改竄され易くなる。プレーヤソフトウェアの完全性を確実にする可能な手法の１つとして、記録媒体がコンピュータに挿入される度に、プレーヤソフトウェア又はプレーヤソフトウェアの一部をコンピュータに再インストールしてもよい。これにより、改竄されている可能性がある既存のプレーヤソフトウェアは、単純に上書きされ、消去され又は無効にされる。また、プレーヤソフトウェアを保護する他の手法として、記録媒体が挿入された際に、例えばデジタル署名、チェックサム又はこの他の周知の完全性検査法を用いて、コンピュータに先にインストールされているプレーヤソフトウェアを検査するプログラムをプレーヤソフトウェアの一部として又は他のソフトウェアプログラムとして記録媒体に格納してもよい。プレーヤソフトウェアの完全性検査に問題があった場合、プレーヤソフトウェアは使用を拒否され、又は上書きされる。これに代えて、ネットワークを用いて、中央のサーバに完全性検査ソフトウェアを接続し、このサーバに対し、プレーヤソフトウェア又は記録媒体自体に関する完全性検査ルーチンを実行するよう要求してもよい。
本発明の実施例においては、デジタルファイルのコピーは、様々な手法で暗号化又は保護することができる。１つの手法として、固有の鍵を用いて各ファイルの各コピーを暗号化することによってファイルを保護してもよい。例えば、プレーヤソフトウェアは、ＣＤから、暗号化されている各曲又はトラックを読み出し、適切な鍵を用いて各曲又はトラックを復号し、各曲又はトラックのコピーを４個作成し、各コピーを異なる鍵で暗号化してもよい。この手法により、不正なアクセスに対する最高レベルのセキュリティを実現できるが、コピー処理の実行に時間が掛かり、多数の鍵を管理する必要がある。これに代えて、特定のコンピュータにおいて作成された特定のトラックを同じ鍵で暗号化してもよく、或いはどのコンピュータがコピーを作成したかに関わらず、あるトラックの全てのコピーを同じ鍵で暗号化してもよい。暗号化鍵は、コピー処理を実行するコンピュータにおいてローカルで作成してもよく、中央のサーバからダウンロードしてもよく、前もって記録媒体内に格納しておいてもよい。使用される暗号化アルゴリズムは、例えば、対称（鍵）暗号化アルゴリズムであっても非対称（鍵）暗号化アルゴリズムであってもよく、コンピュータ又は携帯型機器の性能に悪影響を与えない程度の演算負荷で適切な保護を実現できるアルゴリズムを用いる。
本発明は、上述した特定の実施例に限定されない。本発明の範囲から逸脱することなく、本発明の原理を実現するために他の実施例を用いてもよいことは、当業者にとって明らかである。

Claims (21)

  1. リムーバブル記録媒体を介して配信されるコピー保護されたデジタルコンテンツの使用を制御するコンテンツ使用制御方法において、
    コンピュータ装置によって上記リムーバブル記録媒体からデータを読み出すステップと、
    上記デジタルコンテンツの所定数の保護されたコピーを作成するステップと、
    上記コンピュータ装置に接続された記録機器に上記保護されたコピーを記録するステップと、
    上記保護されたコピーの少なくとも１つを、他の機器に移動するステップと
    を有するコンテンツ使用制御方法。
  2. 上記保護されたコピーの数は、上記リムーバブル記録媒体に記録されている情報に基づいて決定されることを特徴とする請求項１記載のコンテンツ使用制御方法。
  3. 上記リムーバブル記録媒体に記録されている情報は、上記コピーを先に作成したコンピュータ装置を特定する情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項２記載のコンテンツ使用制御方法。
  4. 上記コンピュータ装置を特定する情報は、該コンピュータ装置のハードウェア構成に関する情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項３記載のコンテンツ使用制御方法。

  13. 上記リムーバブル記録媒体に格納されたソフトウェアを上記コンピュータ装置にインストールするステップを更に有する請求項１２記載のコンテンツ使用制御方法。
  14. リムーバブル記録媒体を介して配信されたコピー保護されたデジタルコンテンツの使用を制御するコンテンツ使用制御方法において、
    コンピュータ装置によって上記リムーバブル記録媒体からデータを読み出すステップと、
    上記デジタルコンテンツの数が制限された保護されたコピーを作成するステップと、
    上記コンピュータ装置に接続された記録機器に上記数が制限された保護されたコピーを記録するステップと、
    上記リムーバブル記録媒体に格納されている制御情報に基づいて、上記数が制限された保護されたコピーへのアクセスを制御するステップと
    を有するコンテンツ使用制御方法。
  15. 上記制御情報は、上記コピーを先に作成したコンピュータ装置を特定する情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項１４記載のコンテンツ使用制御方法。
  16. 上記制御情報は、上記コンピュータ装置のハードウェア構成に関する情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項１５記載のコンテンツ使用制御方法。
  17. 上記制御情報は、既に作成されているコピーの数を示す情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項１４記載のコンテンツ使用制御方法。
  18. 上記保護されたコピーの少なくとも１つを認証された機器に移動するステップを更に備える請求項１４記載のコンテンツ使用制御方法。
  19. 上記各保護されたコピーに、該保護されたコピーの元となる特定のリムーバブル記録媒体を識別する識別情報を含ませるステップを更に有する請求項１４記載のコンテンツ使用制御方法。
  20. 上記各保護されたコピーに、該保護されたコピーを作成したコンピュータ装置を識別する識別情報を含ませるステップを更に有する請求項１９記載のコンテンツ使用制御方法。
  21. 上記各保護されたコピーに、該保護されたコピーを作成したコンピュータ装置を識別する識別情報を含ませるステップを更に有する請求項１４記載のコンテンツ使用制御方法。
