Abstract
【解決手段】 マッド材のバインダとしてタール類とレジンとを併用するにあたり、タール類とレジンとに相溶性を示す相溶性溶剤として、55〜95質量部をエステルが占め、残部が多価アルコールよりなるものを用いる。この相溶性溶剤を用いると、耐火材料とタール類、レジン、及び相溶性溶剤との親和性の低下を防止でき、かつタール類とレジンとの相溶性を従来よりも向上させることができることにより、上記課題が解決される。

Claims (3)
- 粒度調整された耐火材料に、タール類、レジン、及びそれらタール類とレジンとに相溶性を示す相溶性溶剤を加えて混練してなるマッド材において、前記相溶性溶剤として、55〜95質量部をエステルが占め、残部が多価アルコールよりなるものを用いたことを特徴とするマッド材。
- 前記相溶性溶剤として、75〜85質量部をエステルが占め、残部が多価アルコールよりなるものを用いた請求項1に記載のマッド材。
- 前記エステルが、ジカルボン酸メチルエステルであり、前記多価アルコールが、エチレングリコールである請求項1又は2に記載のマッド材。
